Hi! I was wondering if there are any limits on audition songs? I know some auditions prefer you avoid songs from what you’re auditioning for while some are fine with them. Just wanted to check before submitting :)

We don't have any limits on audition songs. We just want you to sing whatever you think you sound best in.

(sorry if this is a stupid question!)

I'm confused on the classification for Pokey. He's labeled as a baritone, but the lowest note is Eb3, shared with Wiggly, but Wiggly is labeled as a tenor. Is this a typo in some way or was this on purpose? Is pokey's range supposed to end at Eb2 to be an actual baritone, or is he supposed to be a tenor and keep the Eb3?

It is on purpose since vocal types are not just about range, but about timbre. For example, a soprano and an alto can sing the same note but sound very different. Since Corey Dorris is a baritone (as far as we can tell), we listed Pokey as a baritone, even though a tenor or a low alto can hit those notes. If you pick out each individual singer in The Summoning, you can tell that Pokey has a smoother and warmer tone in comparison to Wiggly's brighter tone.

You can audition for as many characters as you want. The character list on the form is multiple-choice. Break a leg!

Is there a way you can add a role button that says "okay with whatever" (Or something like that)?

It wouldn't guarantee being put in a role, of course. but if someone wanted a certain role but you thought they would be the best person for another role that they didn't check off, then you could give it to them. That would only be if they checked off the box.

Just an idea for convenience - no pressure to do this lmao

Our First Cover Project

Our first cover project is for the score of Nerdy Prudes Must Die! Auditions will open up on April 25 and stay open for 2 months. There are 24 parts you can choose from, though depending on how many people audition, we may combine some parts. You do not have to be the same gender as the character you audition for, as long as you can sing the notes, you are fine! We do ask, however, that you be 18+ to audition for Max or Grace due to the nature of their duet.

We are also open to having artists make artwork for the videos for when we post them on YouTube.

Starkid Cover Project

Hey! Have you ever wanted to cover songs from a Starkid musical but you can't because you don't know enough people who sing? I know I have! That's why I've created the Starkid Cover Project, a place where fans can group together to cover our favorite songs from our favorite musicals!

How It Works

I will hold auditions for songs from a specific Starkid musical. You can submit your audition, and if chosen, you can collaborate on the songs with other fans. When the songs have been finished, they will be posted on the Starkid Cover Project's YouTube Channel. These videos will be audio-only, with art made by fan artists. The videos won't be monetized as they are just for fun
