how do shuppets… this is gonna sound weird, but how do they eat emotions? is it like a bite on the head or something else? i thought they eat emotions of evil people because of the negativity

in my universe and experience, they use the little point on their head to very gently poke you, not to puncture, but just poke you. think of it as a cutiefly or any other pollinator with flowers. you will know a shuppet is feeding when the negative emotions start subsiding, and if they're eating a lot of your emotions, they have a very faint glow to them. the glow color is different depending if shiny or not.

also no. just because they eat negative emotions, they do not "go after evil people", that is a negative stereotype. i have been allowing shuppets to feed on me for decades and it is not because "i'm evil", i just have mental disorders which i will not get into for privacy. they're like any pokemon trying to find food, anyone can encounter one. while being ghost types and still having their mischievous behavior, they're the most popular for being used as emotional support and service pokemon for people who are into ghost types. i one time met a service banette who's job was comforting children during family court and therapy when i was younger, she was the sweetest and has been doing that ever since she was a shuppet herself.

I... I wish I could say or do more, but... I don't know. I feel less important in the grand scheme of things? I know it doesn't matter, not really! It just... makes it hard. You know, the whole... "I try to be there and for what?" sort of thing. Don't get me wrong, I know the trust issues are there, that's just... why I keep trying.

I have to be able to prove myself at some point, right...?

... He's been here for me a lot, recently, and that's... that's... stars above, I can't thank him enough. He's easily one of my best friends here and I love spending time with him.
