Being a Screenwriter and TV Writer is so hard. You have great scripts but there is one thing holding you back.
Money! You budget $3-5 million and you do fundraising which is a flop. You try your best to come up with money. You can't function as a writer if there are actor strikes going on. You chat with the cast and see if they want to contribute to the fundraiser. The biggest selling point is that they can donate anonymously. So you change the script to take two of your favorite bands out of the script because you can't afford them. I even put in for a film grant and you haven't heard from them. Your Director and star is a multi millionaire and you pray he will foot the bill so we can get into production.
So I cry and want to give up. But my cast tells me I am a great script writer and to never give up.
