That seems pretty quick for a cult / tyrant to rise. I mean its obvious that orin / durge where already choosen by being bhaalspawn at birth. But Gortash is unknown, maybe itll stay unknown and we will only know what is given in the game.

Does anyone have an idea of how long the timeline for the “Cult of the Absolute” went for? Like I know the game takes place in 1492 DR.

I mean when did Gortash and the Durge actually start this plan, was the crown stolen, when was Kethric resurrected, ect.

Like I am trying to find information about this but all I am getting is the year is started to spread and be seen, which again is 1492 DR.

As patch 8 is going to be released, we are going to see new features and changes.

The declaration of an end of an era.

But Larian Studios still won’t give Wyll any content.

Larian knows people want Wyll to have more content they have seen comments from them but they’re actively ignoring them while liking people’s demands of having a Gortash romance.

Before anyone says “complaining won’t do anything”, it does anything.

For examples:

• Ascended!Astarion fans complaining about their Tav being afraid when Astarion kisses them. Larian changed Ascended!Astarion’s kiss to have Tav smiling after being treated like they were nothing.

Basically Larian threw out the whole entire point that Astarion is continuing the cycle of abuse that Cazador placed him through. Because they wanted to placate the Ascended!Astarion fans.

• Fans complaining about how Lae’zel is “too mean” when you first meet her after escaping the ship. Larian changed that to have her a bit nicer.

If there’s more let me know.

Larian has shown time and time again how little they care about Wyll and his story, heck! He’s the most integral piece of the story since he’s literally the son of Uldr Ravenguard, the grand Duke of Baldur’s Gate, but they don’t bother to give him content or fix the bugs that he has.

They don’t even bother to give Wyll a page that talks about him only without putting Mizora in it. Just put his enslaver with him instead of giving him his own page.

Larian can do better and they should be actively better but they chose not to do better since they would rather listen to other fans instead of Wyll fans that want him to have more content.

I honestly feel bad for Theo Solomon, Wyll’s VA, for getting the short hand of not getting anymore voice lines or content for Wyll, because Larian gave up on Wyll. He does an amazing job as Wyll and he’s entirely a sweet guy.

At least there are people who share the same thoughts as you do. But still, it sucks and off putting of how fast this has been accepted.

the scariest thing about the generative AI thing is how quickly people have accepted it as an indefinite, irrevocable part of their reality. people have genuinely convinced themselves that ChatGPT is the only solution to most tasks - tasks they did with their own brain without any large effort two years ago. like you know damn well all of us used to write emails ourselves why are we pretending like this is an impossible task to do with your own two hands. what's with the fucking. AI revisionism. i feel like i am going insane.

Paladin: The horrors may be unrelenting but motherfucker so am I!

This is my Tav, Ari’Lore

She is a Paladin who took an Oath of Vengeance and her background right now is Folk Hero. Im still trying to make her backstory.

Advice and critique will be appreciated

All I have so far is that she was orphaned as a baby, her dad was murdered and her mom became too sick to take care of her.

Im still trying to plan out the in between part of her being an orphan to the events of the game, like how she decided to be a Paladin - and that she pretty much a new one.

I do have an idea that she had a mentor. He was a half-orc Paladin who took an oath either of devotion or redemption…haven’t decided yet. He was a mentor had a few other apprentices like her. One of them was a half-drow who was her best friend.

And this is where I am stuck. I have two ideas so far of i want to play out in her backstory. But she had eventually left the Baldurs gate for a few years for a mentorship of becoming a Paladin.

Either alot of her teammates died trying to protect a village where everyone died but her. She became severely depressed by this as she saw them as her family and that they were all gone. She did want to join them - and she went to there graves - their ghosts talked to to convince her to “please keep going. There are others who need you”.

This is all I have for this idea

Or that her and her friend where trying to investigate a high-ranking paladin who has an oath of Conquest. Just imagine a Paladin similar to Homelander. Ari’Lore and her friend got caught by the guy and he was going to try and kill them because “he cant let them know” . Her mentor was actually there to trying to save them with a few other of his old adventuring party. But it was eneded in his self sacrifice while Ari’Lore had to get out of the building while they had some injuries.

I am still deciding on what to do.

As of just starting Act 3, all of the main companion’s are thrilled with me ( the exceptional status). With Halsin, its very good, Jaheria is starting is good, but Minthara is still neutral. She has a difficult time getting along with Minnthara.

She is also romanced with Astarion. She is willing to help him get revenge on Cazador, but doesn’t like his idea of taking the power for himself ( they dont know about the 7000 prisoners yet)

I want Karlach and Ari’Lore to have a sisterly relationship. Like I want to imagine Karlach says “I’ve always wanted a little sister” and Ari’Lore just starts tearing up and hugging Karlach.

Her and Lae’zel didn’t get along at first but after the creche, it got better. They also like to spar each other since they both like fighting with swords.

Wyll reminds her of her mentor who had died a few years before the events of the game. She and Wyll shares alot of the same values.

Im still planning out her relationship with Shadowheart and Gale.

I wonder what Astarion’s reason whould be for bitting my Tav, Ari’Lore who is a PALADIN which means I deal massive radiant damage. Doesn’t that make it more severe to vampires?

He made comment about how clerics usually would stake vampires. But wouldn’t paladins do the same thing

My Tav did let him have some of her blood without threatening him and discussed him feeding on enemies, but still! She would have asked Astarion “what made you think that biting me would have been a good idea??”

Ari’Lore is a Paladin of Vengeance tiefling who is generally nice to people but she does have a chaotic side to her with people.
