More oc stuff!! Yay yay!!

Today is a big day that'll go down in history. The eldest child has been chosen to be next on the throne. The child should be celebrating right? This should be an achievement for this child. In a few years she will be in her mother's place on the throne as the new queen. This will certainly be going down in history.

Kosma is in her room. She was just told of this news that'll change her life forever. Shouldn't she be happy? She was chosen for the next queen. It's only right to be happy about this, right? Kosma doesn't feel any bit happy. She doesn't want to celebrate this moment. She never wanted to be on the throne. Kosma is aware of what this means for her, this means she's unable to go on the path she truly wants to follow. Now her future was forced upon her to rule an entire nation. It's too much for her to handle. She wouldn't be a good ruler and she knows it. But why would they pick her? Why couldn't it be yukio? He worked so hard to be able to be chosen next for the throne. His dreams basically got crushed. Is it her fault? It has to be. What if she runs away? That'll certainly work, right?

Suddenly the bedroom door opens. "Your majesty, it's almost time for the celebration. Are you almost done in there?" The maid peeks their head through the door. Kosma turns around away from the mirror, turning her gaze towards the door now. "I'm almost ready. I'll be down in a minute." Kosma says as she puts up an excited expression, after all, she needs to at least pretend everything's alright. She'll think of a plan later.

So today I found out that Kosma ended up being picked to be on the throne when she's 36. (18 in earth years) If im being truly honest yes I do feel jealous. What did I do to not get picked? Am I just not good enough? What did she do to earn that spot? It's like im never seen for my accomplishments, but we celebrate for hers. I've tried so hard to reach that spot but I just get met with nothing. I thought hard work was supposed to pay off? I'm probably not working hard enough. I should go now, we're celebrating this moment. Honestly I don't want to even celebrate. I don't even want to see her. Shit, I don't even want to be in this building right now. But, it's not like I have any other choice. I should get it over with after all.

Aftermath, week 1 day 2

The walk back home after seeing my sister can be hard, Especially since I'm not exactly "seeing" them I'm staring and talking to a rock for 10 minutes and placing flowers by it. I make sure to get the ones I'm sure they'll enjoy. I try to pretend They're still with me but I honestly can't knowing she's gone. It's colder than usual today. It's a spring afternoon but it feels colder than how it should be. Is it the intense guilt and pain I'm feeling weighing down on me? It's like a heavy weight on my shoulders. Everyone else is moving on from the incident but me. I could've done better. Maybe if I helped out more they would've still been here.

"Capella..? Capella!" I snap out of my thoughts as I stare at the smaller alien it was my sister surya she stares up at me with her bright yellow eyes "Are you okay you been more quiet recently?"

"Oh sorry. I'm fine..!" I tried my best to say it as joyfully as I can but I think it was easy to tell I was lying from surya's expression.

"Capella it's been hard for all of us, and I can tell it's been hard on you the most. Stop blaming yourself for their death, Its not your fault." I listened to my sister's words. Everyone been telling me this but I find it hard to believe.

Surya notices I stayed quiet as she speaks again. "How about we invite everyone else to get our minds off things! I'll text star right now!"

"That would be nice. Thanks surya for being here with me throughout everything" I smile at my younger sister. It's been a while since I actually had a genuine smile on my face everything always feels better when I'm around everyone else. I wish this could last forever.
