Steven started slowly blushing deeply as he reads the anonymous comment. He's never received such a compliment before, especially not about his appearance. He taps his reply, feeling both surprised and flattered. "Oh wow, umm thank you! I, uh, didn't expect anyone to notice my glasses or clothing choices, let alone compliment me on them... I enjoy my books and I suppose I can be a bit of a dork sometimes, but I appreciate the kind words."

Steven spotted the man immediately, tilting his head a bit. Normally, he'd get the hell out of any similar alley the second he realized someone was in there, but... this one was different for some reason. So, he hesitantly spoke up as he took a step forward. "Mate, you... alright?" Of course, the first concern in his head was how tall the man was. Steven was on the shorter side; but, to be fair, he was only five foot two, so most people were taller than him. But the man seemed... off. Maybe it was the blank mask; hell, maybe it was the fact he was standing motionless in the middle of the alley like a creep. It was just... strange.

For a long moment, the masked man did nothing but stare. He stood there, eerily calm and unwavering, like a looming tower of menace. His shoulders rose and fell with each slow, measured breath, the only indication that he was even alive.

"hm...."

His eyes, hidden behind the blank mask, seemed to bore into Steven's very soul. Despite the lack of visible expression, there was a feeling that he was sizing up the shorter man, waiting for something. He remained motionless, perfectly still. Save for the subtle tilt of his head from time to time, every once in a while, giving the impression that he was
