SteveTony Weekly - Week 16 - Endgame Fixits
Yesterday was the 6 year anniversary of Avengers: Endgame, and since I’m still in my Tony and Steve lived happily ever after era, here’s some Endgame fixits! Enjoy and feel free to share your favs with me!
And Time Can Do So Much by JenTheSweetie
"I really shouldn’t be talking to a figment of my imagination,” Steve said. “Sam would be reading me the riot act. I can hear him now. Therapy works wonders, you know.”
“Sounds like Wilson,” Tony agreed. “And therapy does work wonders. You might want to look into it, once it becomes a thing in a couple of years.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Steve said.
A few years after Steve moved permanently back in time, he started having conversations with Tony again.
Down in Lonesome Town by resurrectedhippo
“Why do I always find my way back to you?”
Maybe Tony didn’t necessarily return to Steve, but fate is a funny little thing, and after living a life of loss, Steve wants something that’s his to keep.
After the universe is restored, Steve is lost without any direction. Retiring from the Avengers, he moves across the country and ends up building a house by a misty blue lake. Across the bridge is Tony Stark’s new workshop.
home is a four-letter word by meidui
“My apartment got demolished,” Steve protests, but the look on Tony’s face tells him that he’s about to get it. He tries again, “They’re building a condo.”
“I don’t care if they rezoned Brooklyn for wildlife preservation. Why are you living in a hotel?”
Endgame, Not Checkmate by geekymoviemom
“Tony?” Steve asks as Tony immediately taps his screen to life, calling up the specs for what looks like a new set of his nanite armour. “Um… aren’t you going to take it easy for a while?”
Tony frowns at Steve over the top of the screen. “Ah, no? Why would I do that?”
“Maybe because you almost died?” Steve blurts out. “I mean, just yesterday you were—!”
“Yeah, you're right,” Tony cuts in. “But that was yesterday. And since now it’s today, and, as you can see, I’m perfectly fine, then I need to get back to working on some stuff.” He shoots Steve a grin, like that somehow makes it okay. “You're welcome to stay and watch if you want.”
Against all odds, the Avengers have beaten Thanos. But when Tony fails to see that victory for what it is, Steve decides the only way to get him to see reason is to confess the secret he’s been harbouring for way too long.
since i've memorised your face by meidui
Tony waits until they're out of eyeshot to turn the wooden duck over in his hands. “Does reconciliation mean something totally fucking different on their planet?” Tony asks.
Steve manages a laugh. It's funny, because it's a misunderstanding, because Steve is never going to get to marry Tony.
something to live for by Areiton
“It’ll take time,” Tony says. “Steve, it--it could take years.”
He says it softly, almost a confession, and Steve--
He nods, and says, “All we have now is time, Tones.”
burnt toast, sundays by Lesty (penguinwithitsarseonfire)
Tony stared at the bike as it spluttered pathetically on the side of the road. He had to admit, when he woke up deciding he was going to have pancakes, he didn't see his morning turning out quite like this.
Dammit. All he wanted were some goddamn pancakes, and this was turning into a Tolkein like quest.
--
In which Tony really wants to make some pancakes, Steve wants some eggs, and somehow, they find love instead.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 15 - Soulmates
Happy Sunday, friends! This weekend we’ve got a list of a trope that never ever gets old--SOULMATES!
The thing about Steve/Tony is they just ooze soulmatism, and one of my favorite things to read is how that manifests in a thousand ways. So here’s a short list of some of my favorites--what’s your favorite soulmate fic??
~
Slipping off the Page into Your Hands by Sineala
Soulmates have their first words to each other written on their wrists. This should make it easy. For Steve and Tony, it is anything but. Steve's problem is that the future he has awoken into is nothing he was ever expecting: he has a soulmate now. Who might be a robot. And if his soulmate is Iron Man, how can he be so attracted to Tony Stark? It should be impossible. Tony's problem is that he is Iron Man, his soulmate is a man whom he in no way deserves, and he is going to fight everything in his heart and do his best to make sure Steve never, ever finds out the whole truth.
Visible At last by AvocadoLove
Based in a world where everyone has a soulmate's name written on their arm -- but not visible to the world until they touch.
(Steve/Tony)
train wreck on the way to nowhere by SailorChibi
Pepper closes her eyes briefly. "Your sig, Tony. Have you looked at it in the past couple of days?"
"No, why would I?"
"I think you should."
His heart skips a beat and it has nothing to do with the arc reactor and everything to do with the look on her face, the way she's biting her lip. He remembers, then, that quiet morning in bed with Maria Stark when she told him how sigs could change, and he doesn't want to think about what that means. He can't think about it, not now when the clock is ticking down and he has about five minutes to haul ass downtown or Fury is going to follow through on his threat.
"I have to go," he says, avoiding her eyes, and leaves the room in a hurry.
In a world where your perfect match's signature is written on your wrist for all to see, sometimes change is even harder to accept.
Never Too Late for Love by Sineala
Steve has always believed that a soulbond is a blessing -- a rare and beautiful miracle, joining the thoughts and feelings of two people forever, from the first time they touch. Steve knows he's not going to be one of the lucky ones. He knows Gail isn't his soulmate. But he loves her, even if they're not soulmates, and he's going to do right by her. After the war's over, he's going to marry her, and they're going to settle down. They'll buy a house. They'll have children. He'll see his family again. Maybe Bucky will live next door. It's going to be a good life. He doesn't need a soulbond. He'll be fine without one.
Then Steve wakes up sixty years in the future to find that his wonderful life has moved on without him. His family is long dead. His fiancée married his best friend. And the only purpose he has left is leading the Ultimates, a misbegotten team of superheroes with flaws too numerous to count. Steve hates everything about the future -- but most of all he detests Tony, flashy and flirtatious, who embodies everything Steve hates about a world he never wanted to live in.
And, oh, yeah, Steve has a soulmate after all: Tony fucking Stark.
1-900-SOULMATE by SailorChibi
Later, Tony would maintain that it wasn’t his fault. He was drunk and bored (lonely) and it just… happened.
Pepper would look at him and, in the driest tone that Tony had ever heard, remark that he was the only person in the history of the world who would stumble across their soulmate while drunk dialing a phone sex line.
Greyscale by FestiveFerret
"Did you tell him you were holding out for your soulmate?" Sharon smiled in that mildly condescending way most people did when Steve admitted that he didn't date because he was waiting for that one special someone.
It was old-fashioned, he knew, not to play around casually while you were still greyscale, but Steve wasn't interested in casual. He wanted that swoop in his stomach, and he wanted the world to explode into colours, and he wanted that to be his first and only relationship.
I'll Be (Good To You) by ishipallthings
Steve Rogers wakes up seventy years out of time to a new world and a soulmate. It’s an adjustment.
What he doesn’t expect is Tony Stark, a brilliant futurist who is equal parts fascinating and frustrating, and has just as many demons as Steve. He also doesn’t expect to find a family with a ragtag team of superheroes, or to fall in love.
Luckily, Steve is nothing if not adaptable.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 14 - Team as Family/Team Bonding - Marvel Trumps Hate
It’s the monthly fic rec list for @a10wea, the winner of my @marveltrumpshate auction! And this month, the request was for team bonding/team as family. Hopefully this scratches that itch for you, friend!
Rainy Thursday Morning by sororexitium
It hit Tony one rainy, Thursday morning.
His team was no longer simply his team.
I'll Be (Good To You) by ishipallthings for royal_chandler
Steve Rogers wakes up seventy years out of time to a new world and a soulmate. It’s an adjustment.

It Seems The Stranger's Always You by IamShadow21
Movie night, my turn, no excuses, no late comers, no pants, Tony mass-emails to everyone.
It's the first time in a month that they've all been in the one place, and since Natasha and Clint are both nursing benchable injuries, he can bank on them staying put for at least the next twelve hours.
He puts in a massive order for finger foods, and sits back and waits.
Daisies Sleep in Silence by KandiSheek
Tony got used to not breathing after Afghanistan. He remembered the agony of it, the black spots in his vision as the world went out of focus, cut through with angry red spikes of pain. He never thought he'd have to do it again.
But if it was to keep Steve safe, well. There was little Tony wouldn't do. Even if it involved coughing up flowers.
The Way of Things by Sineala
The Avengers have been around a long time, and they have a lot of traditions. But when Steve finds out that the team has a tradition he's never been informed of, he learns that there's something Tony hasn't been telling him, either.
The (Not Really) Secret Origins of Movie Night by nightwalker for MetaAllu
Somewhere along the line the Avengers have become a pretty good team. But Tony's still the odd man out, and Steve's determined to change that.
Bond Has It Covered by sara_holmes
Tony thought they had trouble getting along when they were dealing with a major global crisis. Apparently that had nothing on how they fell apart when they weren't distracted by smashing aliens.
Senseless by Scavenge4Dreams
Blinded, deafened, exhausted, injured and afraid, Tony raised himself up into a defensive position, the knife coming up just like Nat had taught him.
“That had better fucking be you, Steve Rogers- it had better be you. Fucking disarm me. If you let me kill you, I swear I will be very, very pissed.” Tony snarled, sure it was Steve approaching. Had to be. Had. To. Be.
What if it wasn’t?
Bespectacled Avengers Society (Membership of One) by mybrotherharry
Tony gets glasses. Glasses get a Tony. Steve loses his mind and walks into walls.
a superhero and an idiot walk into a bar by eleadore
It’s not that he and Tony don’t get along. It’s more that Tony got so drunk on New Year’s Eve that he kissed Steve full on the mouth in front of everyone and called him Shirley and then laughed until he passed out.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 13 - Hanahaki Disease
It’s spring time and there are flowers in bloom freaking everywhere where I live which is both gorgeous and bringing to mind one of my favorite angsty tropes:
HANAHAKI DISEASE
I love this both because there is an insane amount of pining and a dose of body horror and a kind of fatalism that I just eat up with a spoon. So here is a list of my favorite hanahaki disease.
iron tipped petals by Areiton
The first thing Steve learns about Tony Stark is that he’s a flashy asshole.
The second thing he learns, is that Tony Stark reeks of flowers.
The thing he learns later, months down the road, when he is sitting in his workshop, sketching, is that Tony never coughs flowers for him.
Truths and Roses Have Thorns About Them by FestiveFerret
Steve has a secret. And then he makes a poorly-timed joke to a reporter, and suddenly he has two secrets.
One: He's in love with his best friend.
Two: Despite what the press thinks, they're not actually dating.
Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree by Annie D (scaramouche)
Steve doesn’t mind that Tony doesn’t return his feelings. He just would've preferred if it didn’t come with the side effect of his coughing up flowers and possibly dying.
heaving through corrupted lungs by Alysae
“You’d think they would have developed some kind of medicine for this by now,” he joked.
Pepper levelled him a hard glare as she twirled the bloodied pink petals in her hand, staining her perfectly manicured nails. “This is not a joking matter, Tony.”
“Oh, I don't know, Pep. Seems like the biggest joke of my entire life. And you know I had many,” he added, plucking a petal from between his teeth. “Killed by love. Well, in this case, unrequited love. How ironic.”
Nothing Pure Enough by Sineala
You shouldn't be able to develop a Hanahaki fixation on someone you've never met who's been dead for decades. But Tony has always been special.
To Make Flowers Grow (In This Barren Heart) by KakushiMiko, SoldiersShield
“You hide yourself away in your technology, but you are just as human as the rest of them. Your heart betrays your desire to possess.” Her gaze falls to the arc reactor, and Tony's blood runs cold in his veins.
“The Earth will reclaim what we have lost,” she says, dragging a hand over the chestplate of the armor. “It is you, and your kind-- your greed that pulls life from the soil as if it were nothing. You will reap what you have sown, Stark. The avarice in your heart will strangle the very life out of you.” Arna meets his eyes once more, a serene smile on her face as she leans forward.
“I hope he is worth dying for,” she murmurs, before digging her hand into his ribcage.
(Tony Stark falls in love with Steve Rogers. A rogue enchantress ensures he pays for it.)
the heart of this flower imagines by firebrands
Steve isn’t really paying attention to anything when something red catches his eye: a petal. He looks down at his lap and picks it up.
He’s contemplating the petal, glancing around to see where it could’ve come from, when an unfamiliar feeling wells up inside him and he coughs. He hasn’t coughed in years, not after the serum.
He looks down. On his lap: more petals.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 12 - No Powers AU
This week we have a grab bag of AUs but ALL of them are
NO POWERS AU.
I know a lot of folks only read canon divergent or compliant fics, but I personally love the diversity in storytelling that a good no-powers AU affords. So here’s a handful of my favorite--enjoy!
What Happens In Vegas by sabrecmc
“What the hell, Tony?” Rhodey demanded brusquely. Tony winced and drew the phone away from his ear. “You’ve got cops and Feds all over the hotel. I’m watching you perp walk out of the police station on repeat on CNN. They’re saying you tried to bribe Stern? Fox News has you selling weapons on the black market, and God that picture they’re using is the one from Bali in ’09. You look like shit. They wheeled Stern out and put him in an ambulance, by the way. Got some paparazzi swearing you decked the guy. Now they’ve got ‘copters following it like he’s OJ.”
“Yeah, don’t worry, Sourpatch, I’ve got it covered. Uh, though, I should probably tell you that, purely in the interests of national security and the greater good, I kind of had to fake marry that stripper-gram you sent. Thanks for that, by the way,” Tony added quickly.
Unknown Caller (do not engage) by gottalovev
Steve had one job: exchange a couple of texts with a guy who thought he had Natasha's number, and let him down gently. It ends up being a lot more complicated than that.
Buried by NotEvenCloseToStraight
When Howard Stark demands Tony work at a dig site in S.America one summer to "build character" and "learn about life", Tony is furious.
But then he meets soldier/archeologist Steve and falls in love with blue eyes and a perfect smile. Just as they are ready to move forward together, Steve leaves abruptly with no explanation and breaks Tonys heart.
Ten years later, Tony stumbles across the file for the old dig site. He's determined to visit and shut it down, but discovers that instead of a village, the dig has unconvered a temple and actually needs MORE money to stay open. A security team is hired to protect the staff and the artifacts they find, and Tony comes face to face with Steve Rogers all over again– except Steve is bearded and BIGGER and way more dangerous than he used to be...And Tony likes it.
When the camp is attacked, Steve jumps into action, snatching Tony and running into the jungle to escape and work their way towards safety.
But long days and nights together bring back old feelings, and one day Steve takes a risk and asks Tony to give them another chance.
Will Tony say yes? Or is his heart buried too far for the soldier-turned- archaeologist-turned-mercenary to find it?
Jink by FestiveFerret
When Steve agrees to dog sit for Colonel Rhodes, he doesn't expect Rhodes' unusual, intriguing, and painfully attractive whirlwind of a best friend to show up unannounced.
There's an App for That by Annie D (scaramouche)
Thanks to the modern gig economy, Steve is the successful owner of a break-up service, i.e. people pay him to break up with their partners for them. One day, he gets the first break-up request for Tony Stark.
Dangerous Kitchen Tools by ladyshadowdrake
Engineering prodigy, billionaire, and heir to the Stark Industries empire, Tony Stark turned the business world on its head by opening a restuarant and burying himself in the kitchen. Years later, he covers an informal evening cooking class for his friend and fellow molecular gastronomist, Bruce Banner, where he meets famously camera-shy comic artist Steve Rogers.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 11 - Mafia AU
I know I’m late today, sorry! So no fuss this week--our trope is:
MAFIA AUS!
I love mafia aus. I love the inherent danger of them, and the burn the world down for each other of them, and the sexiness of it all, and how they’re genuinely soft only for each other. Here’s some of my favorites.
The Consultant by DC_Chan
Mafia AU. Life in the mafia is fairly simple, until something has scared two-thirds of the underground into tightening their defenses. Fury wants to know what has them on the run and how he can turn this to his advantage.
Tony "Iron Man" Stark just wants to get what's his after ten years of imprisonment: Revenge.
kings of the city by Areiton
The Irish mob held Brooklyn.
The Spider held Queens.
And where Tony fits in the city has never been clear...
Sometimes though, he thinks he fits here--at Steve's side.
Patriarch by spqr for sweetafterdark
Steve ducks into the hall and comes back with a warm, freshly-laundered towel, which feels so good when he wraps it around Tony’s shoulders that he almost lets out a moan. “There we go,” Steve says. “Don’t want you to catch cold.”
“Thanks, daddy,” Tony quips, because he’s an idiot.
Except Steve’s close enough, his hands wrapped around Tony’s biceps through the towel, that Tony can feel his full-body shudder.
Danger Is Silent by jay_girl88
Tony is the front-running name in clean energy and defensive combat tech in the world, but what a lot of people forget, is that he was groomed for his whole life to be a weapons manufacturer. He grew up in war, around war, immersed in war, and somehow, people think that he did that without ever being part of it, but that’s not true. Weapons – whether it’s designing them, making them, or handling them – is practically coded into his DNA, but because he doesn't use that knowledge, it’s easy to assume that he doesn't have it.
But he does.
And just because he doesn’t use it, doesn’t mean he can’t or he won’t.
The most dangerous thing in the world, is the thing that people don’t see coming.
Completely Different Things by Faillen
Tony Stark was a genius. It was something he prided himself on. But being a genius didn’t mean that he always understood the effects of something beyond the tangible.
Exhibit A:
It was one thing to know that your boyfriend killed people.
It was another thing to see your boyfriend kill people.
It was a completely different, and far more alarming thing to know that your boyfriend would kill people for you.
The Unspoken Rule by MimmyWrites for Awmieksdead
It is an unspoken rule in the mafia to never fall for your boss' partner.
That genuinely shouldn't have been a problem for Tony. He's not interested in women, hasn't been for a while. But maybe he shouldn't have assumed his boss was straight.
start a fight ('cause i need to feel something) by Areiton
Steve figures he’s been stateside a month, been out in the world for a week--it’s past time for things to go tits up.
It goes like this: someone shoves a gun into his back when he unlocks Peggy’s car after spending a few hours not finding a job.
“Look, man, I’m real sorry, but I need the car.”
OR:
Steve has a never met a fight he didn't like, and it's awful for Tony's blood pressure.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 10 - Bodyswap - Marvel Trumps Hate
For the @marveltrumpshate winner of monthly rec lists, this week I’ve put some bodyswap recs together. This plays with the both the kinky side of the trope, and also the more emotional side, when both Steve and Tony get to know a little bit more about each other. It’s also tragically under-represented in the stevetony fandom. Check these out and be sure to leave comments and kudos if you enjoyed it! And @a10wea , enjoy your rec list!
got your heart in a headlock by Thahire
If they're lucky, Tony and Pym will have this problem fixed in no time and Steve can go back to being his healthy self and Stark will—
Stark will be back in this body, in this prison. Steve blinks through a suddenly tight throat. It's not like he hadn't noticed him suffering, but Tony had always made sure to play it down, with jokes and jabs, and Steve, Steve had stupidly believed him. Maybe he wanted to believe it.
Maybe, and this is worse, he didn't care enough to really ask.
Steve has to deal with chemo in Tony's body.
Nowhere Near as Fun as it Sounds by ABrighterDarkness
“You’ve never said anything. At all. To anyone,” Tony blurted, the words and realizations that smacked him straight in the face in the most bizarre way possible. Mid-mission, at that. Terrible timing. But…he felt like this was one of those things he should have somehow already known. Something he’d have somehow already addressed and fixed. And not just because he was the one that was now suffering from the lack of knowledge.
“Neither have you,” Steve said, quiet and solemn.
A Place In My Mind by KandiSheek
The Avengers all swap bodies, with Steve ending up in Ironman's. It's a nightmare for multiple reasons, mostly because Steve has no idea who Ironman actually is, and he'd rather die than be the one to expose his friend's well-kept secret.
What Ironman doesn't know is that Steve has a secret of his own. One of the mushy, romantic kind. And being this close to Ironman, after all these years of desperately wanting it?
It just might be a bigger temptation than he can resist.
i'm yours, body and soul by meidui (orphan_account)
When Tony wakes up in his husband's body at six in the morning hundreds of miles away from his conference, he almost puts a pillow over his head and goes back to sleep because, really, stranger things have happened.
of soulmates and washboard abs by JehBeeEh
The first thing he noticed was that he could breathe. He'd flopped from his stomach to his side and when he stretched, nothing hurt and he could take in a lung full of air.
He could breathe?
Tony bolted upright in bed and slammed his hand to his chest. He felt a solid mass under his hand all right, but it wasn’t what he'd expected.
Starving by FestiveFerret
Steve woke up starving.
Take Me for a Spin by KandiSheek
Steve finds out first hand that being in Tony's brain when he's stressed is like standing inside a hornets' nest. Tony just wishes he could understand his own schematics. Being in Steve's brain sucks, especially when you've had a crush on the guy for years now.
I'll See You When I Fall Asleep by citsiurtlanu
It's 1989 when Steve wakes up and realizes he's in the body of a stranger.
Half a century earlier, Tony wakes up and realizes the same thing.
As time passes, they continue to switch with each other at random. And despite the decades separating them, they become close - until Steve signs up for a top-secret project, and Tony realizes the truth of who he's been switching with.
616 AU inspired by Kimi No Na Wa / Your Name.
Strange Lunch by yodasyoyo
“So you can fix it?” Steve asks, hopefully. As much as he likes Thor, he really wants Tony back in his own body sooner, rather than later. It’s their wedding anniversary this weekend, and barring world-ending catastrophes Steve has plans. Plans that involve Tony being, well, Tony.
Man with Your Frame by Veldeia
Steve Rogers spends his days as a body-swapping agent for SHIELD and many of his nights exploring the various bodies in the bedroom with young tech genius and business heir Tony Stark—until one fateful mission changes everything. When Steve wakes up decades later, all his friends are gone, except for a much changed Tony. He recruits Steve to investigate a series of attempts on his life, but Steve soon realizes that finding out who wants to kill Tony may not be the most important mystery.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 9 - SPORTS au
Happy Sunday, friends. Today’s trope includes some of my favorite fics (no seriously, I’ve listened to the podfic of Got A Heart in Me, I Swear about a hundred times) so narrowing the list down to just 7 was hard. SO---
SPORTS AU!!!
My notes actually says sportsball, but the point stands. I love sports AU. The tension and stakes of the outside team, the pressure of coming out or not, the public spectacle of it all. It’s just all so damn delicious. So here’s some of my favorites. Enjoy!!
I've got you under my skin by sirona
Five times Beijing 2008 Olympics Gold Medalist Tony Stark thinks it's going to be no more difficult a job to get ready for London 2012, than what he has just achieved. That is, of course, before Coach Fury comes to visit, and offers him a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be a part of something much bigger than himself. Swimming AU.
Got a Heart in Me, I Swear by thepartyresponsible
The pictures leak on a lazy off-season Sunday, in that muddled bit of midafternoon Clint never knows what to do with when he isn’t training. He curls up with Lucky on the couch and naps through the end of his whole damn life. And that, honestly, is pretty much perfect.
Wild Pitch by FestiveFerret, pouringinsheets
Rookie pitcher Tony Stark says he’s the most exciting thing to happen to the New York Shields in years. It’s hard for veteran catcher Steve Rogers to feel that way about Tony’s volatile pitching and frequent game ejections—especially when the Shields coaches have tasked Steve with reining the rookie in.
Getting excited about Tony himself, though? That is, unfortunately, all too easy.
something rash by Areiton
"Why are you drinking alone, Tony?" Steve asks, and lets his gaze trail over Tony in blatant appreciation that makes Tony sputter. He thanks the server for the beer that appears between them but his gaze doesn't flicker away, and there's a teasing little smirk around his lips that Tony wants to chase.
"The lot of a traveling businessman," Tony says and then, "Although it does allow for interesting diversions." Steve's grin breaks wide at that, and Tony takes his shot. "How about we settle up, and go up to my room."
hail mary by Areiton
Steve is the star quarterback of the Avengers. Tony is an award winning sports journalist.
When he is unexpectedly outed, Steve throws his fate into the hands of the man whose heart he broke.
It's a hail mary and it's all Steve's got.
Or
A social media sports AU.
Tonight we're gonna make it all come true by gottalovev
Steve Rogers is one of the best players in college football and is ready to prove it. The road towards becoming a professional football player? Is totally crazy. Falling in love with Tony Stark, the young quarterback from Stanford, may be even more life changing.
Blind Side Tackle by LonghornLetters
Steve Rogers wants two things - for a team (preferably not Dallas) to draft him and to not make an absolute fool of himself on an NFL field. He's trying to find his own way in a complicated system, but through the ups and downs of transitioning to the pros, he's got more help than he realizes.
Tony Stark wants two things also - a face of the franchise-quality quarterback and a bit of that "little life" he's always just kind of ignored up to now. He's trying to find the work-life balance everyone keeps telling him he needs, but the things he wants can sometimes come from unexpected places.
Slow-burn friends to lovers.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 9 - Sex Work
So today we’ve got a favorite trope of mine--
Sex Work!
Weather it because of a misunderstanding and identity porn, or just life choices, there’s something delicious about sex work being what pulls Stevetony together. Here’s some of my favorites!
The Billionaire Hooker's Deceived Artist by tsukinofaerii
During Tony's senior year at MIT, his partying habit finally hit the edge of his parents' patience. When Howard and Maria cut him
off from his usual sources of money, he decides to turn to less conventional ones.
Indecent Proposal by sabrecmc
One million dollars for one night. That could change your life.
How We Met by FestiveFerret
Life was pretty simple for Tony - work on his graduate thesis, hang out with his robotics projects in his unusual apartment, and fuck people for money. At least, it was simple until he met Steve Rogers.
Last Stop Before Malibu by justanotherrollingstony (adoctoraday)
Steve stands under the hot sun, hoping that the next trucker to roll in will bring him enough money to eat tonight, enough to save a little, to get out of this place and go somewhere new.
What he doesn't expect, is to meet a man who changes everything.
When Tony leaves, Steve follows and finds a place in his home, his bed, and maybe, his heart.
Saffron by FestiveFerret
The club is called Saffron, but there's no sign outside to let you know that.

Captain America goes into a rut that's been a long time coming and SHIELD provides a professional omega to see him through it

SteveTony Weekly - Week 8 - College AU
Happy Sunday! I’m spending the weekend on campus for a residency for my master’s program, which means as you’re reading this, I’m taking a final--send me positive vibes!! But because I’m in class, and college, ect--y’all get one of my favorite tropes this week:
College AU!!
I love college aus, because it’s just young puppy love with a hint of adult teeth to make things real. Did you know that the very first Stevetony fic I read was a college au, and a lot of what caused me to fall in love with these two adorable boys? True story. Anyway--here’s you’re list. Be sure to kudo and comment if you enjoy a fic!
Catching Lightning in a Bottle by sabrecmc
College student Tony meets janitor Steve at MIT and they fall blissfully in love, until Howard happens and things fall apart. One divorce paperwork snafu courtesy of the ever-helpful Jarvis, and ten years later, Tony has to get re-divorced from Steve.
This does not go as he imagines.
Or, the Sweet Home Alabama AU that no one--well, okay, a few of you--asked for.
Fanart included.
Slut Era by BladeoftheNebula
Tony never meant to become the campus bicycle but since that was apparently what was expected of him he figured it was easier just to lean into it.
He just never expected Steve Rogers would ever want to take a ride.
Open Field in Front of Him by orphan_account
Steve Rogers's football season is functionally over after a loss to Rutgers, but he finds a distraction in Tony Stark (yes, THAT Tony Stark). A college AU Stony fic.
Bulletproof by foxxcub
At age fifteen, Steve Rogers had been in love with Tony Stark.
By age twenty, he’d (mostly) gotten over it. And then he promptly became Tony Stark's fuck buddy.
falling like the stars by complicationstoo
When Tony starts at MIT, he's excited to finally be in the same city as his older brother, Bucky, again. Then he meets Bucky's roommate and best friend Steve Rogers and falls faster than he would have ever thought possible.
Lost Boy by NotEvenCloseToStraight
Steve has eight weeks to finish studying for and pass his bar exam. And its going rather well, until 20 year old boy genius Tony walks into the same library, and sits at the same table.
Steve doesn't usually go for kids like Tony- young and irresponsible, ripped jeans and eye liner, and a tongue ring that is way more distracting that it should be.
Oh, and Tony is high as a kite, studying his physics text book.
Steve should look away, but he cant stop staring, and Tony is staring right back, more than a little interested in the serious blonde with the cute glasses and big shoulders pushing against that button up.
A stand up guy like Steve could be good for a troubled kid like Tony. But maybe a punk kid like Tony is good for a guy like Steve as well.
I wanna hold your hand by sirona
No one understands what it's like growing up rich and yet more alone than anyone should be able to stand - except for people who grew up just like you, that is. In which Tony Stark goes to Oxford University and meets people and makes enemies and makes friends and changes people's minds and falls in love - amongst other tales of mishap and adventure.

i’m looking for this stony fanfic so i thought you might be able to help. it’s where tony had a near death experience but is totally fine. he was falling tho so steve gets a flashback to bucky and then there’s a part where he’s hugging tony too tight and they have to pull them apart (i think bucky and sam and stuff are in the fanfic too)
That....is not one I can think of off the top of my head. I'd try @findingstony -- they're amazing for finding Stevetony fics! Good luck, it sounds like a great fic!

SteveTony Weekly - Week 7 - Getting Together
I’m so sorry I’m late this weekend, you guys. We had a storm that knocked out power last night and then my phone died while I was working on this. But it’s back! And so am I! In honor of Valentine’s Day on Friday, we have this week’s theme:
Getting Together
There’s a million ways that Steve and Tony get together, which makes it one of my favorite tags on the Archive. Messy meet cutes, drifting together in canon, all the in betweens. I love it. So here’s some of my favorite getting together recs.
A Partial Dictionary Of The 21st Century By Captain Steve Rogers, US Army by copperbadge
Steve is adapting well to the new millennium, and he has the dictionary to prove it.
Thrust Issues by Sineala for phoenixmetaphor
A battle gone wrong leads Tony to the unexpected and pleasant discovery that Steve is much more well-endowed than he could ever have imagined. But when Tony learns that Steve has never actually been able to sleep with anyone because of his size, Tony does what any good friend would do: he offers to relieve Steve of his virginity. Personally. Tony's determined, Tony's methodical, and Tony has a plan. He's going to get Steve laid. Tony just needs to make sure Steve never finds out that Tony's in love with him.
Through A Lens by itsallAvengers
"Okay- so this is the first option- I've got to go to this huge family meal in a few weeks, and so I'm looking for a shirt that just screams 'I am the family disappointment', you know? Does the bright pink work, do you think?"
Steve shrugged. "Uhh, well, I'd say pink probably would? It's hard to say, I mean, I'm colour-blind, maybe you need Natasha's input. Hell, Clint's always good with 'family disappointment' fashion, shall I grab him-"
"Wait," Tony cut him off, face completely blank and shirt half way off his body. "You're... you're fucking with me, right?"
"Huh? I mean, Clint's family is fucked up on a normal day, so it's not really-"
"No, not that, the other thing. The colour-blind thing," Tony said, stepping out of the changing room with his shirt still hanging around his neck in order to grab Steve's arms. "Please, please God tell me that I haven't spent the last two years of my life assuming you could see colour. Please."
The Love Song of a Pair of Awkward Weirdos by MusicalLuna
Tony flirts with Steve and then the strangest possible thing happens:
Steve starts to flirt back.
Bodyguard for the Day by navaan
Tony gets kidnapped from his Stark Industries office. Steve gets taken with him. But AIM doesn't know they've mistaken Captain America for a simple security guy – and nobody knows Tony is Iron Man... Life is complicated.
Flower Child by itsallAvengers
The point was this, though:
In a hundred million universes, in a hundred million different lives, there would never be a single one of them in which Tony Stark deserved anyone like Steve Rogers. Ever.
So this? Nonsensical.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 6 - Hurt/Comfort - Marvel Trumps Hate
Today we have the second monthly installment in my fic rec list for @marveltrumpshate winner @a10wea . As a reminder, this is a slightly longer rec list and the theme is requested by my winner. So this week we have
Hurt/Comfort
The thing about hurt comfort that I adore is how delicious it is to you know--hurt them. Ad then make it BETTER with the comfort. It’s an especially fun trope with Stevetony because of the nature of being a superhero--there’s always someone being hurt. What I really love is when that hurt lands on Steve. So often, he’s the strong one who weathers all things and to see him laid out and how that rips Tony apart and how they find healing in each other? So so good. So here’s some favorites.
the only love i haven't screwed up by meidui
When Steve wakes up from the ice, there’s somebody waiting for him. He's handsome, and older, and he tells Steve that they're soulmates and he's waited all his life to find him.
As Sharp As Any Thorn by RurouniHime
It’s four days to Christmas, there’s a city in shambles, and the nation is in mourning because of the actions of a single man.
Looking After America by copperbadge
Steve tries to shake off a bullet, but Tony takes charge.
patchwork people by itsallAvengers
It was a pretty well-known fact that Tony Stark had control issues.
It was far less well-known why, though.
Deep Waters by AlchemyAlice
His power's running low, the arc reactor flickering. Cold, rancid sewer water is rushing into the fissure at his torn up shoulder, filling up the gaps, rising along his neck in frigid fingers. He's been like this before.
Good For You by Orbing_Arrow
Steve doesn't understand why Tony dates people who treat him poorly. Tony doesn't understand why Steve cares.
The rest is bad choices, good choices, rehab, milkshakes, paintball, YouTube videos, couples therapy and learning to put the past in the past.
Or: How Tony finds his happy ending.
Weighing of the Heart by scifigrl47
Steve Rogers hasn't really had a particularly easy life. He's struggled along, he's proud of himself, he's self-sufficient and capable and he works damn hard. He has friends and a purpose and he's only a few semesters from graduating college. He's managed, but his life has been far from easy.
That's mostly because of a slight filing error.
The last thing that Steve needed was someone to watch over him. The only thing that his Guardian Angel needs is a second chance to make a first impression.
Nobody Panic, Everything's Fine by itsallAvengers
Steve doesn't get jealous. He doesn't. Honestly.
It's just...well- Tony's been spending an awful lot of time with a new employee. Who's smarter than him. And funnier. And more interesting and generally a better match for Tony than he ever would be.
But he's not jealous. Honestly.
Think of This as Solving Problems (That Should Never Have Occurred) by Sineala
No one knows Tony is Iron Man. Then Tony gets amnesia, and literally no one knows Tony is Iron Man.
Thumb, Index, and Pinky Extended by Eudoxia
Tony Stark is twenty-one when he loses his voice. It shouldn't matter, but in a world where the first words your Soulmate says to you are marked on your skin, it can be pretty damn annoying.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 5 - Time Loop
Ok so I know last week we did time travel, but it’s Groundhog’s Day and growing up, watching that stupid time loop movie was bigger than any holiday but Christmas and it’s something I still do SO IN HONOR OF THAT WEIRD TRADITION--today we have:
Time Loop Fic
What I love about time loop vs time travel is that there’s a relentless hopelessness to it and finding a way past that and to a solution is just--super fun and lovely to me. So here’s a few of my favorite time loop fics. Check them out and enjoy--and be sure to leave a comment and kudos for those you like!
A Hundred Times, Once by FestiveFerret, SirSapling
The shrill tone of his SHIELD beeper pulls Steve out of sleep and into battle. He fights robots, he fights Tony's shameless advances, he fights the exhaustion that threatens to take over him, drown him. And then the next morning, he wakes and does it again. Exactly the same.
And again.
And again.
And again.
Of things lost in time by erde (orphan_account)
The Time Stone beckons Steve with the promise of home. He ends up in Clint's farm, reliving the same day again and again.
(not) Chasing Tomorrow by Mozzarella for izazov
In which Steve Rogers makes the most of a time loop by falling in love
ceaselessly into the past by shepherd
Edge of Tomorrow/Live.Die.Repeat AU, following the movie. After earth is invaded by the Chitauri, Tony Stark is forcefully drafted into the military for a suicide mission. It ends up with him being inexplicably caught in a time loop that always seems to end with him dying horrifically. And, of course, the day was a Thursday- he had never gotten the hang of Thursdays. (please regard the tags for warnings- there are more explicit warnings inside)
The Five Stages of a Time Loop by AirlocksandAviaries
Tony Stark looks Thanos in the eye. He raises his gauntlet in defiance and states his iconic phrase. He snaps, expecting death. But death doesn't come. Instead, he's back in his basement, completed time travel model in front of him. He builds the time machine. He snaps again. Again, and again, and again. Tony can't for the life of him seem to change the outcome of this story. What does change, though, is his feelings around it.
Without Witness by hollyandvice (hiasobi_writes)
Tony's at his wit's end after five months of being stuck in a time loop. He decides to lean into it and proposition Steve just for fun one day. Except then Steve accepts and things steamroll from there.
always winter, always spring by Mizzy
(groundhog day) trapped in an ever-replenishing room with an impossible puzzle to solve, Steve and Tony learn a thing or two about each other and about themselves

Steve Tony Weekly - Week 4 - Time Travel
Hello hello hello! How was everyone’s week? I’m in America and I’m gonna be honest it’s been a rough one. And because I’ve used avoidance as a coping mechanism, I spent a lot of it reading. So that’s been a bright spot.
So this week’s theme is TIME TRAVEL.
I really love time travel with Steve and Tony because it plays with the soulmatism of it all and who doesn’t love that? So here we go:
Double Time by Sineala
Cassino, Italy, December 1943. Special Agent Tony Stark, former Marvels adventurer, is sent to investigate a Cosmic Cube found by the Invaders -- and it's the perfect opportunity for him to rekindle his secret romance with Steve Rogers. But when Hydra attempts to steal the Cube, an inadvertent wish for help leads to the appearance of a Tony from the future of another world: Director Stark of SHIELD. This Tony is a man with a lot on his mind. He refuses to tell them anything about the future, but he seems to know much more than he should about Captain America. And something's happened that's clearly killing him inside, but he's not talking. When Director Stark's failed attempt to return home leads to the unexpected appearance of another visitor from his universe, all the lies come undone. Now there are two wars to fight, and the second one could ruin all of them.
More Than Gravity by JenTheSweetie
“Aw, time travel, no.”
On Christmas Eve, Tony came unstuck in time.
timeless by Areiton
Steve keeps stealing glances at him, his face bright and eyes curious, and Tony wants to flush and he wants to preen, wants to turn into that curious stare, shameless and hungry until it caught and flickered into more.
Your Name on Every Wall by Sineala
The Time Gem throws Steve into the past rather than the future, and in doing so, it gives him the opportunity to undo his past mistakes. But when it turns out that all of his mistakes involve Tony Stark, Steve begins to wonder if he's ever going to be able to mend things between them.
The Butterfly Effect by itsallAvengers
While fighting with Loki, Steve Rogers from 2012 hears the two simple words: "Bucky's alive."
And the whole universe ripples with the aftershocks.
Every Damn Day by MusicalLuna
The longer his relationship with Tony has gone on, the more Steve wishes he'd gotten the chance to sock Howard Stark in the nose.
He finally gets his chance.
The Twice-Told Tale by arysteia
For someone he'd hero-worshipped for so long, Steve Rogers in the flesh is a pretty big disappointment. For one thing, he keeps looking at Tony as though he reminds him of someone else, and even if he never says anything, Tony's pretty sure it's his father. A lifetime of not measuring up to Howard's expectations is more than enough, thank you very much, and he's certainly not going to make an effort to live up to any of Steve's. Steve's pretty clearly failed to live up to his expectations, in any case, and that's not hypocritical at all.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 3 - Genderswap - Marvel Trumps Hate
This week we have the first rec list for my Marvel Trumps Hate 2024 Winner! We’ll have one of these a month, with requested prompts. This month’s prompt is:
GENDERSWAP
Omg I LOVE genderswap fic. It’s an under-written tag on A03, but I’ve got 10 of my favorites for y’all to read. As always, remember to comment and kudos if you enjoyed something!
The Idiot Box by Margo_Kim
Stephanie Rogers isn't happy to be in the 21st century, but she's even less thrilled to be on a team with Antonia Stark who seems as spoiled and self-centered as people come. She and Tony do their best to ignore each other, until their mutual insomnia causes them to bond over the new American pastime: late night television watching. Eventual Steph/Tony.
Genesis by teaberryblue for Enmuse (Scifiroots)
Reluctant to make the truth about their secret weapon known, the American Government tells the world that Captain America is a man named Steve Rogers. According to public record, he died, tragically, in 1945, and he became legend.
In 1998, the Avengers find a body trapped in ice.
She's alive.
Her name is Eve.
She has Captain America's shield.
Ironsides by copperbadge
Antonia Carter Stark takes no shit and no prisoners.
in retrospect by welcoming_disaster
Fresh out of the ice, Eve Rogers isn't happy about being stuck onto the Ultimates' roster; the team, in her view, is a shameless PR grab with no real talent. Her teammate, Tonya Stark, might change that.
Fire Drills by isozyme
Tonia Stark is the Iron Mantle. She's also dying of cadmium poisoning, fending off competition from HammerTech, dealing with the nasty leftovers of her father's legacy, and taking care of Eve Rollins, one of Rhodey's Air Force friends who needs a place to stay.
An Iron Man 2 Genderswap AU where Nick Fury sends Eve Rogers to spy on Tonia Stark instead of Natasha Romanov.
You're Living in the Past (It's a New Generation) by bessyboo, Sinope
He's met Toni Stark. He's seen the best that this century has to offer, dolled up in impenetrable sunglasses and a lipstick-stained grin, and he knows that this world isn't going to save itself.
Role Models by cranialaccessory
Stella knows how labor-intensive Stark’s hairstyle is, and how long it takes to put on makeup. Howard might’ve been vain and self-centered, but he’d never put his personal appearance before a mission. “If we’re going to be working together,” Stella says, “I want you to take things other than your appearance seriously.”
Stark’s smile is even more brittle, this time around. “Thanks for the tip, Mom. It’s good news that we won’t really be working together much, then, isn’t it?”
Right Place, Right Time by dreiser
Stephanie Rogers never thought being frozen in Antarctica for seventy years was a case of being at the right place, at the right time. At least, that's until she got to know Toni Stark.
Knights in Shining Armour (No, really, it's incredibly shiny) by Sadisticsparkle (sadisticsparkle)
Toni Stark has always been a tomboy, more comfortable with engines and power tools than high heels and make-up. And she's always been waiting for a princess - her princess just happens to be a dude.
bad ideas by IronSwordStarShield (SweetFanfics)
The point is, she’d innocently complimented Toni’s lipstick.
And then. Toni had grinned over her tinted glasses at Steph and said, “Want a swatch?”
Before she could blink, Toni had grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it.

SteveTony Weekly - Week 2 - Outsider POV
Hi, friends! This week our theme is Outsider POV. It’s a favorite way of mine to read about our boys because we see things that they maybe don’t see, and it’s full of confusion and miscommunications, and it’s just--a lot of fun. So here are some of my favorite. What is your favorite Outside POV fic?
~
OUTSIDER POV
Fair Shot by isozyme
Captain Rogers leaps from the helicopter like a gymnast on the dismount. All the lines of his body are controlled. Perfect. The iconic round shield lies flat across his back.
“How does he fit a parachute under that?” I ask.
“He doesn’t,” Stark answers. “Marvelous adrenaline junkie, our Cap. Likes to almost break his ankles every time. Makes him feel like a man.”
Front Line reporter Ben Urich spends a mission embedded with Tony Stark and Captain Steve Rogers on an Ultimates mission.
(lack of) dignity by Areiton
It’s just--it’s a thing.
The other Avengers shout at them for it, but it’s humiliating, to be beaten into submission while Cap tries to get a date.
maybe they are by Areiton
“Maybe they fucked and Stark broke his heart,” Teddy says, watching Stark standing next to a table full of grad students, talking animatedly, waving his coffee as Rogers dodged by, giving him a dirty look.
Or
That professors fic I've been promising to write.
on the inherent homoeroticism of cake decoration by welcoming_disaster
“She’s matchmaking, Barton,” Carol sighed.
“We,” Thor corrected, thumping himself hard in the chest, “art matchmaking.”
“Who, Cap n’ Tony?” Clint asked, his mouth full.
“Cap and Tony,” Janet confirmed, cutting herself a thin slice of egg and gently depositing it on her whole grain avocado toast, “it’s getting ridiculous.”
“Wait, I thought they were—“ Clint frowned, glancing around the room as though to confirm. Nothing but confused faces met his questioning gaze. “Huh. I really thought they were fucking.”
“And there is the crux of the issue,” Jess licked a bit of spaghetti sauce off her lip.
“Aye,” agreed Thor, “there’s rub.”
-----------
The team tries to set up Steve and Tony. Things don't go as planned.
to the point of invention by meidui
Tony Stark does an interview, his first public media appearance in two years, and the interviewer wants to know where he gets his inspiration from these days.
He smiles a little, not at the camera and barely even at the interviewer, and then says, "I've got this friend. He's pretty accident-prone. I guess that's my inspiration."
No Slip of the Tongue by deervsheadlights
Many a thing was said of Lord Anthony Stark, Ruler of the Far Lands of Mar'vill, and many did not hold true. Fewer things were said of the Lord's Captain of Guard, but as it was, Sir Steven Rogers had never been a man for wearing his heart on his sleeve.
(Or: Five times somebody else told a tale of the Lord and his knight, and one time they told their own.)
5 Times Bucky Thought Tony Was Good For Steve +1 Time He Told Him by Anonymous
To say Bucky is unimpressed by Stark would be an understatement.
It isn’t that he dislikes him. It’s more that he’s a brand of indifferent that curdles with disdain on the rare occasion that Bucky catches him on the TV: Stark is glib and crass in a way his father never was, and he wears suits like he’d slipped out of the womb clad in Armani.
So it’s a surprise when Bucky moves into the Tower and finds that Steve actually gets along with the guy.
