I hc that the first time Emma got her period, you happened to be over at the Sano residence that night. When Emma came knocking at Shinichiro's room looking embarrassed holding a blood stained skirt - it barely took a millisecond for the both of you to register what happened.

It's something that Shinichiro's brought up before, that he'd need your help when the time comes, but neither of you expected it to happen so soon.

You immediately got out the pouch that always in your bag before accompanying Emma to the bathroom, while Shinichiro grabbed his keys and asked you to text him the list of items he should pick up at the shops before heading down to the nearest convenience store on his bike.

When he came back with the various supplies and passing them into the bathroom where you and Emma were at, Shinichiro would offer to take Emma's blood stained clothes and washing them, muttering that's the only thing he could help with, that he's experienced in from all the gang battles over the years.

Shinichiro would be remain standing outside the bathroom door, waiting to see if there was anything else he could help with, listening to your voice as you gave Emma the same talk your mom gave you back then, reassuring her and most importantly- congratulating her on this milestone.

After Emma has gotten into bed, Shinichiro would sit you down in the kitchen, handing you a cup of tea and giving his thanks for the help tonight, before flooding you with questions. It wasn't that he has no idea on what a period is, he does have the general idea, but he just wanted to know more - questions like food she can't during these times, what should he look out for, whether there was anything else he could help with. You tried to sneak in a fake "smoking is really bad for someone on their period" fact which he rolls his eyes in response, but it was worth an attempt.

The next day while Emma went to school, you and Shinichiro stopped by the closest bookstore on the way to work, looking for books around puberty to get for Emma. And S&S motors customers that day would be surprised at the unusual sight that greeted them that day. Instead of finding the young owner crouched in front of a bike and fixing them, they'd find him sitting behind the counter, head buried in a pink book on puberty that he bought for his little sister, trying to read the content himself first before leaving the book on her desk later that day.
