Swordtember 3, 4 & 5: Cursed Relic, Divine Relic, Edible

Which do you prefer? Candy Cane or jawbreaker?

Hmm, I'm not exactly satisfied with how the divine relic came out, but I feel like it's the right direction for some of what I'm aiming towards. Feels close. Candy fighters are fun.

Swordtember 1 & 2: Wings, Floral/Forest

Late to uploading my challenge work as usual, but I wanted to test out a few things experimentally with swordtember. So, here's the start to my experiment, and after all this I'll be posting in between more of my painting work that I'm really excited to share with you guys.

As far as why isn't there a flower here? I mixed up the days for floral and forest, that's why.

Prompt to follow along: "What emotions have you been holding up inside yourself, or pushing away? What are your emotions trying to tell you?"

This really can be a helpful way to look at how you're doing, and work though it on paper. I've found that through a lot of the internal struggles and growth in my life, making art is what helps. Remember to also try with different materials if you're able to. You may feel different things depending on what medium you're working in.

Confidence and mindset are a really big part of art. So long as you keep practicing, and don't over think things, you'll get to where you need to go

And the Transgender Rhino Beetle wraps up my pride bug series for right now! It was really fun working on all of these. It was interesting figuring out how to simplify the designs of the bug wings down, and how to render their faces less scary for those who have a fear of insects.
