First Encounters

request - (husband!)June x Reader where June, Reader, and their toddler meet Jumin’s new girlfriend, MC (mystic messenger) for the first time !

word count: 844 please like/reblog if you enjoy! I hope it turned out alright :) a/n: this was kind of funny to imagine in my head while writing since I look EXACTLY like the MC in mystic messenger, imagining Jumin and June dating people who look the same made me giggling lol

“I’m surprised Jumin wanted to meet at a restaurant.” You turned to face your husband, June, as he spoke. “You know, since Atlas is joining us too.” He nodded towards the small boy in between the two of you, clinging onto each of your guys’ hands. 

“Jumin probably didn’t want us to meet at the penthouse so he can make an excuse to run off. Goodness knows we didn’t even get a chance to meet the girl at the RFA party, and how badly he wants to just be alone with her.” You giggled at the statement, reflecting at how quickly you have seen your (half) brother-in-law’s personality change at the introduction of the newest RFA member. 

As the three of you walked through the doors of the restaurant, you swiftly picked up your son and held him on your hip. June put a small hand on your back as he greeted the hostess.

“Hi,” he smiled politely, “Reservation for Jumin?”

“I can take you to the table, would you like a booster for your little one?” 

“Yes please, thank you.” June still kept the light hand of your back on the way to the secluded room where the table was. Despite all the years together, the small gestures of June melted your heart like the first days meeting one another all over again. 

Jumin sat overlooking the menu with the brunette girl doing the same next to him. With the approaching footsteps of the hostess, the two of them looked up. The black-haired man stood up to greet your family, with his new love following in pursuit. 

“June, [Name], thank you for joining us.” Jumin greeted the two of you.

“I’m here too Uncle Jumin!” Atlas waved his hand to the older man. Jumin let out a small chuckle at the action. 

“Why yes, hello to you too Atlas.” He reached out to ruffle the boy’s hair, smiling. Jumin then introduced the infamous RFA member that stole his heart. 

After the introductions, everyone sat down to look over the menu and order. With the party over, the recently developed couple was finally able to give the full details of their love story. 

“And I had thought June and I had a crazy love story, I don’t think any of the twists we endured could be more stressful than a bomb.” You gaped at the couple, looking towards your husband with wide eyes.

Jumin had proven you right, as he promptly made an excuse to leave once everyone had finished eating their meals. Whilst he must have thought it seemed believable, you could tell by his recent behavior regarding the girl that he just wanted to be alone with her. You were now seated in the passenger seat, as your husband drove your family home. 

“I think she is a really good fit for Jumin, I don’t think I ever could imagine him acting this way before this girl. Plus, she was super sweet to Atlas” You pointed out, looking towards the back seat to see your son asleep in his car seat. You chuckled at his drooling state, his fluffy blonde hair and porcelain skin so reminiscent of his father. 

“Yeah, it was honestly strange to see him after all these years behave like that.” June agreed. 

“I’m glad for him, they seem really happy. It reminds me of when we first started dating, and how quickly everything changes for us.” You smiled reminiscing, gazing lovingly at your husband. He smiled at your words.

“Do you think they will get married fast like we did?” He glanced quickly at you before looking towards the road again. 

“Are you kidding? With the public stunt he pulled at the charity party, I think he will propose sooner. I’m surprised you could even wait a year before asking me the question.” You teased.

“I honestly would have done it sooner if it wasn’t for how long it took to find the perfect ring and save for it.” June spoke honestly, pulling into the driveway of your home. 

“You know I don’t mind, any day spent with you is perfect for me.” You kissed his cheek as he turned off the car. 

You unbuckle your seatbelt as you sat, waiting for your husband to stride over to your side of the vehicle and open your door. The years spent with him taught you that it wasn’t worth dealing with his pouting if he didn’t open your door every single time. The blonde opened your door, taking your hand to help you out, and then turning to the back seat door to retrieve your sleeping son. You strided over to the front door to unlock it as June carried Atlas inside. After closing the door, you took Atlas from him and carried him towards his room. You laid Atlas down on his bed, kissing his forehead before covering him with his blanket. As you stood up, you felt June’s arms wrap around your waist, his head resting on your shoulder.

“I love you so much, my perfect wife.”

“I love you more, my perfect husband.”
