This takes place when Strike realizes that Oak has been infected, but after the death of her sister in such a similar way, she can’t bring herself to kill him. She can’t kill someone so close to her again, not even as they become a monster. She lets him run, believing that one infected will take him. However, it is a grave mistake, as his infected form is the very catalyst Azerith uses to break apart the ritual meant to destroy him, freeing himself from his hundreds of years of capture.

I promise I’m still working on my Zerek series, I finished this a bit ago and wanted to post while I’m working on it, since work is making it pretty slow going.

This whole arc takes place several years after the Great Wave, during the period between when it started and the Waven game. Zerek had been living with the remaining Eliatropes that had survived the disaster, as well as Amalia who had also survived (although, Yugo has remained missing).

Zerek remained there until one Eliatrope returned with injuries from a dragon and the Eliacube, which they had found and wanted to return to their people before being intercepted by Aerefal. Zerek decided that to confront Aerefal, believing that since the dragon wasn’t Grougalorasalar, he deserved a chance to explain himself. So, Zerek took the Eliacube (refraining to tell anyone as he believed this would be over quickly), and went out to find Aerefal.

The Primordial of Wind made a mistake however, for when Zerek found and confronted Aerefal, he admitted to the plan Asalar had convinced most of the other Primordials to align with: the extermination of the Eliatrope people from the world of Twelve due to the strength of their Wakfu, especially their missing king.

Obviously, Zerek vehemently disagreed with this, and he had hope to chase Aerefal away from his island, convince him that the Eliatrope people meant no harm. However, the moment Aerefal saw the Cube hidden in Zerek’s mane, it quickly became a fight to the death.

One that Zerek didn’t expect to win.

However, this was a mistake, as the spirits of dragons can travel after death. Zerek knew that Aerefal’s soul would tell the others about what he had done, and knew he couldn’t return home until Grougalorasalar and the other Primordials that had supported his plan for death were defeated.

Here’s some redesigns I made for the Primordial Twelvian dragons for my au with Zerek! This is mainly so I can draw them more consistently, while also making Asalar and Aguabrial look more like Zerek. Figured I’d show these guys off before I uploaded some new Zerek content very soon, featuring these dragons with these designs!
