Hi! I'm in love with your concepts, they're looking great! May I ask you about your Sauron and Nazgul headcanons?

Oh, thank you! It's a long story. Sorry for my English!

My drawings are illustrations for the famous Russian fanfiction "The Black Book of Arda". I'm illustrating its sequel, which is called the Great Game. I do not know if there are English translations. It tells the stories of all the Nazgul and how Sauron lured them to his side (sometimes by deception and manipulation).

1. Khelkar/Argor/Aldarion is the prince of Numenor, a former warlord in Middle-earth. He was a genius and believed that he had been chosen by Eru. Sauron had to break his soul in order for the Numenor to serve him.

2. Ulbar is a shaman from the lands by the Sea of Runes, easterling. He came to Sauron practically by himself because he dreamed of living forever.

3. Dhenna-Haradrim, the prince. He took the Ring to protect his country from the Numenorians and eventually completely transferred it to the side of Mordor. He was the youngest prince, became the shadow behind the throne and the immortal secret ruler.

4. Saita/ Borlas is a pirate, Adan from Eriador, a famous criminal. To some extent, his fate is similar to that of Turin, only evil. He commands the orcs in Mordor.

5. Erion is a healer from Numenor. He was a materialist (in Middle-earth!!!) and he didn't believe in the existence of a soul. He lived in Umbara and was very brave in his experiments. As a result, Sauron saved him from execution for an unethical heart transplant experiment. Erion did not believe in the soul and agreed easily, though later he regretted it.

6. Moro is a descendant of one of the elves who served Melkor according to the Black Book of Arda. He can see the future and spends most of his time in his visions.

7. Khonakht is a Nazgul who can subdue animals. He brought out the winged creatures on which they then flew. He does not like and is afraid of people, he is very secretive.

8. Orhaldor is the only one who got into the Nazgul because of love. He was a Numenorian and served in secret intelligence. He managed to unravel Sauron's spy network, and then he invited Orhaldor to become a Nazgul. The Numenor refused, but then Sauron had his wife arrested. Unwilling to make a choice between duty and love, he decided to accept the ring to save her.

She died anyway, and he stayed to fulfill the terms of the deal.

9. Elvir is a man from the far northern lands with Elven roots. He looks very young, but at the same time he is angry and sarcastic. He serves Sauron as a kind of psychologist. Sauron is like Mephistopheles in this concept. He is afraid of Melkor's return and creates a state where everything will be subordinated to his vision of order. He treats people like things, but he's interested in solving them. The main thing in his life is power, including power over someone else's mind, as well as order. He often manipulates, turns words and concepts inside out, and sometimes makes bad jokes. He is angry and cynical, and in general, everything is as it should be for the dark Maya. At the same time, he talks about the fact that under his rule a wonderful bright future will come for everyone.
