Phillip Graves *does* own a pair of American flag boxers, and he does wear them when he's home alone, or with you. Are they flattering? The juries still out on that one...However, they make him so happy for whatever reason. Whether that's because they're so dumb looking or he thinks they make him look "cool" is unbeknownst to you. The gleam in his eye doesn't lie. The way his eyes crinkle ever so slightly emphasizing his growing crows feet is enough to make anyone crumble. At the end of the day, you really *do* just love to seem him happy. And by extension, he loves making you happy.

i love Adler but while playing the campaign I noticed he's always talking over somebody, like...yes he's an asshole. HOWEVER he has that old man way of speaking where he's just always talking, pointing out the obvious, or correcting you. like those elderly people you hear at sit-down restaurants

It surprises him when Phil wanders into the kitchen, tugging at his shirt with big wide eyes and a look that promises him trouble.

"Why don't I have a mommy?"

Shit.

Russell is almost positive that he can feel the blood drain from his face.

"Because we don't have any pictures of a mommy."

Deep down, he knew, one day he'd have to explain that he wasn't born Russell Adler and that he built the male experience he has lived by hand. But he didn't expect it to be so early.

Phil's expression isn't sad like he'd expect, it's inquisitive.

"You know how girls grow up into women and sometimes they have babies, kiddo?"

Phil nods, tilting his head up at Russell like a puppy. If only throwing a tennis ball would get him out of this conversation.

"Well, some girls don't feel like a girl. They're boys, but someone made them into a girl by accident. They grow up to be men, but sometimes, they also have babies."

He crosses his fingers behind his back and prays that the little one understands the explanation.

"So, you were a girl, but now you're my daddy?"

"Uh-huh, kiddo. You don't have a mommy because I had you, grew you all by myself like a little plant."

For a brief moment, he sees the light at the end of the tunnel, and then he recognises it's someone shining a torch through the train window just before it hits him.

"So, is Uncle Frank my other daddy?"

Russell curses what pregnancy did to his once-stable body because he genuinely does almost piss himself laughing.
