“Weather forecast show signs of a heavy rainstorm traveling toward Seoul later tonight. Possible signs of a blackout due to the high chance of lightning and thunder. Please remain in doors until our weather advisory feels the storm safe enough to travel in.”
You kicked at the cushion below your feet, the news report cutting short your tv program. Your friend, Jina, was still on the phone, running around in search for her charger in her own apartment, “No! My phone is gonna die and if there’s gonna be a blackout then I desperately need my phone fully charged by midnight.”
You checked the time on your phone, reaching for the end of your charger and connecting it to your phone, “Do you think it’s going to be serious?”
“I don’t know but a new chapter always comes out at midnight and I wait all week long for this so I’m definitely not taking any chances with a dead phone,” she told you as she lifted her wire in glee that she found it, “I need to see if Taehyung finally gets the hint that Yoona likes him! You are reading it right?”
You nodded your head looking down at the small rectangular reflection of yourself on FaceTime and stared at your battery percentage, “Duh. If I didn’t you’d have me dead.”
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes when your friend went on a rant on her favorite webtoon at the moment. ‘First Love 101’ is what it’s called. It’s cheesy and stupid and predictable but your best friend was obsessed with it. And since you were her only friend that can bare her nonstop chatter over the webtoon she begged you to read it too so you could talk about it together.
It was a simple story, nothing exciting or new but it was by a famous webcomic artist so it got the buzz. It was about this college guy, Kim Taehyung, who has had a rough upbringing journeying through school, romance, and independence. It was pretty boring and yet when a new chapter came in you couldn’t put your phone down.
Later on when Jia had ended the call to let her phone charge quicker you could hear the storm brewing. It grew louder and harsher with each passing hour closer to midnight. It was dark and the wind was heavily knocking against your windows. The lights went out around 11:00pm and you curled a blanket around yourself on the couch and let the darkness cloud you with your phone screen being the only source of light.
Around midnight, 12:01am to be exact, the newest chapter was released along with a text from Jia threatening to haunt you in your sleep if you didn’t read it so you began immediately.
Another boring filler chapter. The main character, Taehyung, spent most of it dragged along to some Karaoke bar with his best friend where they talked about school and girls and the usual.
Sometime during the chapter, the mix of darkness around you and all the stress from the day had you falling asleep with the phone in your hand. The storm had grown louder, lightning came down harder, and your building was hit on the rooftop. All unknown to you as you entered a deep state of REM.

The morning after the storm, an awful random storm that had come out of the blue kept him up all night. He woke early morning with a huge headache due to drinking the night before and lack of sleep. He shuffled out of his bedroom, eyes still half shut and hair sticking out every which way. He’d stepped out into the brightness of his living room with no energy for the day yet it had all changed rather soon.
The scream he’d let out had not been quiet or manly but he couldn’t help it. You jolted up, or rather down as you fell off the end of your couch. The blanket you’d had over you was wrapped in your legs as you felt around your carpet looking for your phone. Had you fallen asleep on the couch?
“Who the fuck are you?”
You rubbed at your tired eyes jumping slightly in your spot on the floor at the sudden scream that had woken you in the first place. Your eyes widened in shock looking around again taking in your surroundings. This was not your apartment.
“Who are you?” You asked suddenly eerily aware of the man’s presence and the strange apartment. It looked so similar to yours, same layout and everything and yet it wasn’t yours. He held his phone up ready to dial the number for the police at the sight of an intruder. A weird intruder at that.
“I asked you first, you’re in my apartment. Tell me or I call the cops,” he demanded and you caved.
“Wait don’t call the police, I’m Y/n. Hold on,” you stood up abruptly looking around again and taking your phone, “I’m leaving.”
He stood in front of the door, arms and legs spread wide as his bed head fell across his eyes, “Not until you tell me what you’re doing at my house. Are you a stalker? Robber? Drunk girl?”
You listened to him rant going over every worse case scenario possible and yet you still felt like the real problem was worse. He watched the stranger in his house shake their head no and he did the same shooing his hair out of his face as he listened to you ramble, “I don’t know. I don’t know, please let me leave and I swear to god you will never have to see me again.”
“How do I know that? You can be my personal stalker—“
“I don’t even know who you are!”
He was ready to argue again when he stared at the clock hanging above his couch just over your head. He cursed, “Shit. Fine. Go! You already made me late. I better not ever see you here again.”
So you did. The second he gave you enough room to open the door you ran out. You immediately looked at the door number. Unit 25D. Just like yours. Outside the complex looked just the same except the name. The name was different yet so familiar and as you looked around everything was the same yet different.
You texted Jia but your texts and calls didn’t go through, apparently the number was not active. You didn’t have service either [what the fuck?] so you went to the McDonald’s down the block and used free wifi. You checked your socials which didn’t exist so you made a new profile. You searched Jia’s username on everything and it didn’t exist or someone else had it. You tried your parents, same problem.
You didn’t have your wallet or your keys since you’d fallen asleep on your couch and woke somewhere new. All you had was your ID which had been in your phone case. You used Apple Pay to pay for a cab ride to Jia’s address but the building was different and when you asked the office for her room number they claimed no such resident existed in their records.
So your only choice left at the end of the day was to return to the place you’d waken up. Not necessarily your apartment but see if you could recognize enough of your surroundings you might be able to see what happened. You refused to get scared and make this weird dream seem true.
Taehyung was tired and annoyed. His day had started on the wrong foot from the storm to the weirdo to being late. Then he had an exam he completely failed and his best friend Jimin was begging him to go out again.
He’d just gotten off the bus, not even both feet in the pavement when he froze. There you stood, head in hands still dressed in the clothes he’d seen you sleeping in. With a roll of his eyes he couldn’t help himself from speaking, “I thought you said I’d never have to see you again.”
You looked up, unable to stop yourself from rolling your eyes in annoyance. Listen, you’re so fucking confused and you have absolutely no idea where to go and also nothing to say. You sighed, “Listen, I’m sorry, okay? I don’t know what happened and I really wish I could explain it to you but I can’t.”
He opened his mouth to speak but instantly shut it when you continued, “I’ve had a shitty day. I have no one to talk to. I have no where to stay. I’m not even in the building so can you just leave me alone?”
His brows furrowed. Were you crying? Slow and cautious he came to sit down next to you rather awkwardly as he spoke, “If you promise not to kill me in my sleep you can stay at my place for a night.”
He was always a sucker for tears—even in his intruder.
Morning came and went similar to the night before minus the screaming. He’d left to his room immediately after giving you blankets and reheated leftovers and that was the last you saw of him. In the morning his tea kettle jolted you awake and when you checked your surroundings nothing changed.
You wanted to scream, literally scream because nothing made sense. He stood in the kitchen with an awkward smile, “I realized I never gave my name. It might be pointless…”
He scratched the back of his head forcing himself to ignore how stupid this probably was, “I’m Taehyung. Kim Taehyung I mean.”
You gave him half a nod not fully processing what he’d said. And when he did go through you almost laughed. Funny… that’s the exact same name as the main character in ‘First Live 101’.
Well, also he kind of did look like the sketches, and hey the apartment kind of looked like it too—Wait…
You looked back to him as he hurried around the kitchen making himself tea and you took your phone out. Immediately you opened up the webtoon and skimmed through the chapters small things here and there. The clock above where you slept. The mole under his eye. The teacup Pomeranian that had been jumping on you all night.
“Oh shit,” you cursed out loud looking down at your phone. He looked over to you clearing his throat, “So uh, what did you mean last night when you said you had nowhere to stay?”
He was coming closer, hair damp from a shower and mug in his hands. He checked the time, he wouldn’t have class for another hour so maybe he could help you find somewhere to go. He ignored his phone with texts from his friends.
jimin: let’s ditch the lecture and have a longer lunch?
yoona: are we still meeting in the library before lecture? I’ve got something to tell u
When he came close enough to you to see the unlocked phone you’d set down on coffee table. His brows furrowed at the sight of the webcomic and without thinking he picked it up. Before you could react he was scrolling.
Oh god. He looked up at you, then back down, then back up at you, now to the phone, “You’re a freak.” He rose to his feet, “D-did you write this? How do you know all this? H-how… I’m on here. And my parents and Jimin and Yoona a—are you a stalker?”
“No! No! It’s uh, it’s not mine,” you rose to your feet in defense, “I just… I—I can explain but it won’t make sense.”
So he listened and he waited. He listened to every word you said, showed him every chapter in the comic that had been released so far.
“You could’ve broken in! You could’ve been watching—“
“Taehyung please just think! How would I have gotten in if your front door was locked, surely not from the balcony. And how would this know exactly what you’ve said to others, thought, anything. How would I know that if we’ve never met?”
“This isn’t some parallel universe.”
“Is it?”
So you showed him the entire thing, you were limited to just what was offline and when you explained to him everything that was happening it was almost like he’d believed you. He’d grown more sullen as time passed by that he’d missed his first class, no all his classes asking you every possible question to get your story to crack. It never did.
“Fine!” He groaned pointing an angry finger at you, “You can stay for one week. If we don’t find a solution I’m calling the cops for real this time and I’m telling them that a crazy stalker broke into my house. Okay?”
He didn’t go to any of his lectures today, instead he went out for lunch and brought back food. He set it out for you and him on the dining table as you continued to scroll endlessly on his laptop looking for some sort of answer. He place a bowl of rice in front of you, “Eat Y/n, when’s the last time you ate?”
Yesterday afternoon when he gave you those leftovers. You hated how comfortable you felt around him. This was a character you’d grown to love because of your best friend and now he was standing in front of you. From the way the last chapter had ended you could assume Yoona would confess finally and he’d be getting into a happy relationship. Here you were complicating things.
“Nobody has asked where you are?” You asked suddenly reminding him of all the messages in his phone and this time he forced himself to reply.
jimin: way to ditch without me
taehyung: something came up
yoona: hey r u not coming?
yoona: it’s been half an hour did something come up?
taehyung: yeah sorry I couldn’t make it today
taehyung: but what did u wanna talk about?
yoona: I rather talk in person
yoona: can I come over later?
taehyung: yea bring ur backpack maybe we can study :)
“Sorry this is all I could find,” Later Taehyung came back with a t-shirt and sweats. You too then thankful and left to the bathroom where you showered and got cleaned up. Fuck. This was so weird. You shouldn’t be here.
Taehyung stared at his reflection in the entrance mirror. A comic book character? A male lead in a romance novel. That’s a funny joke. The man who can’t pick up hints in a romance novel. Who was supposed to be his love interest? You wouldn’t tell him.
Not that it mattered. That wasn’t the pressing issue. The pressing issue was that he was not a real person. Not to you anyway. He pinched his cheek, he felt real.
His doorbell rang and quickly enough he was answering Yoona, “Come in, sorry its a mess.”
He hurried to pick up your shared trash and led her into the living room. He didn’t hear the shower stop running. Yoona let her backpack slide off her shoulders as she looked around, something felt off. “It’s fine, are you feeling better?”
“Huh?” He asked coming over to join her on the floor, “What do you mean?”
“Well isn’t that why you missed?” She looked to him waiting for a response. You opened the door to the bathroom, undergarments folded into a ball as you let your hair air dry. Yoona’s eyes locked with yours as you looked over to the living room. Taehyung followed her line of sight and rushed to his seat. Shit. He clearly didn’t think things through.
“Y/n! Here let me show you where the hamper is at,” he mentally cursed himself. Why did he tell Yoona she could come over?
You let him lead you to his bedroom, “Taehyung, t-that’s Yoona.”
He nodded still a little taken back by how you knew that, “Yeah. She said she had something she wanted to tell me.”
You stood still despite his hand tugging your wrist to head back out. His brows furrowed, “What?”
“Oh God,” you sighed out. Was she going to confess to him now? No. No. You shouldn’t be here. If Jia finds ou— “Go out there. I’ll wait in here.”
“What? No that’s weird, come on,” he ignored your protests as he tugged you back out. Yoona was twirling his short hair around her index finger when you came back out. Her eyes takes over your wet hair to your work out tee and loose sweats too long to fit you. You were just coming out of the shower and clearly wearing Taehyung’s clothes. What was going on?
“Sorry Yoona this is Y/n,” he looked back at you as you refused to join them on the floor, “She’s uh, she’s a friend of mine.”
“Hi…”
“Hello.”
Taehyung was completely blinded to the sudden tension in his room. Though to be fair his character had been designed to be clueless about Yoona’s feelings for him. Still, you weren’t going stand in the way of it. “So Yoona,” Taehyung began, “You wanted to tell me something?”
Yoona blushed nodding her head as she refused to meet his gaze, “Yes, but it can wait.”
And that was your cue, “I’ve got a call to make if you excuse me.”
Un-fucking-believable, he thought. Once Yoona had gone after their uneventful study time after claiming she’d forgotten what she wanted to tell him he’d retreated to his room. Obviously some time had passed but he hasn’t expected to walk in to you sleeping on his bed! Rolling his eyes he reached for the covers and draped them over you, turning the lights off and taking the couch for himself tonight.
When you awoke it was to the sound of running sink water. You stretched along the length of the most comfortable bed you’d ever laid in and took in your surroundings. Once again you were here. Your eyes squinted under the light peaking in from the bathroom. Taehyung stood at the sink brushing his teeth and washing his face. Suddenly more alert you jolted up accidentally knocking your phone off the nightstand.
He looked over to you as he finished up in the bathroom and came out, “Sorry, I was trying to be as quiet as possible but I’ve gotta get ready for my first lecture.”
“‘S okay,” you pushed your hair behind your ears. Why were you still here? What of your own classes? Your own friends? Your own apartment? Where was it all and why couldn’t you figure out how to leave this place. The mix of homesickness and loneliness came together forcing tears to fall out of your eyes at the thought: what if you were stuck here forever?
He listened closely to the sniffle you’d let out, immediately he came to your side, “Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” His voice was soothing, rich and deep yet tender. He watched as you wiped away at big crocodile tears and he couldn’t help but break at the sight. He hated seeing someone cry and now he’s seen you in tears twice.
“Nothing, sorry,” you cleared your throat looking around, “Am I in your room? Shit sorry, I must have fallen asleep an—“
“Y/n.”
You looked over at him as he brushed a hand over your hair, his eyes bored into yours, “We’re gonna figure out what happened, okay? I promise I will do anything I can to help you get back to your own life, er, story?”
You nodded thanking him for his efforts and he just smiled seeing the redness from crying slowly begin to dissolve. He stood up carefully as he let the hand that had been in your hair drop, “I already missed yesterday so I can’t kiss today. There’s some quarters on the kitchen counter if you wanted to go to the laundromat to wash clothes. I know you don’t have service but if you need to reach me give me your phone, I’ll give you my Instagram.”
When he left so did you. He watched you from the bus stop begging to know where it is you’d go but you said you didn’t know. Only that you couldn’t just sit around and wait for something to happen. In reality you knew where you were headed. The name of the publishing company of the webtoon was somewhere in Seoul. Even if the name would be different maybe the address shall be the same. Maybe you’d find some answers there. There was none though. The building here was a newspaper company with no recollection of any writer here with the same name as the author of the webcomic.
“I can give you the number to a fellow online publicist. It’s a small company but maybe they know what you’re talking about,” the secretary at the front desk had written down a number for you.
Taehyung couldn’t focus. He listened in on his lectures but nothing stuck. He kept looking at his Instagram for any updates from you but there were none. He believed you for some reason and even your socials told him he should. No followers, no posts like your account was new. He was your only follower. He wanted to DM you, ask if you’ve found anything but he didn’t want to rush you. He just wanted to see what you were doing. He’d given his extra key in case you returned to the apartment but he still hadn’t heard anything.
“Taehyung, hello do you not hear me?” Jimin ruffled his hair, or attempted to as they left their last lecture, “Come on, let’s go meet Yoona for dinner.”
“Okay,” he mumbled looking back down at his phone as if it’d get you to give him even the smallest hint of what you were doing. It was strange. You’d broken into his house, maybe, and told him this crazy story that he was forced to believe even a small amount. There was no explanation either for anything else to make sense so he was stuck with this thought.
Jimin paid close attention to the way Taehyung kept looking at his phone, “So Yoona tells me she went over last night. I’ll act like I’m not hurt that I wasn’t invited if you tell me who the chick that slept over was.”
Fuck it. He was going to text you first. He couldn’t keep waiting around. He was a little scared for you. You say everything looked the same but was different. What if you got lost? What if you already went back and he didn’t even get a goodbye? He’s spent two days with you now and he’s maybe ready to go home later and see if you were still there. He began to type before Jimin snatched his phone out of his hands, “Is this her? Let me see her profi—there’s nothing! What did you make her up? Why are you her only follower?”
“Give me!” He snatched his phone back and quickly sent you a private message as he spoke, “She’s a friend.”
thv: how’s everything going?
“What friend?” Jimin rolled his eyes, “I know all of your friends. Plus, Yoona says she had just finished showering and wearing your clothes. And that she’d gone to your room to sleep!”
You replied.
y/nl/n: good !! I got the info for a guy who might be able to help
y/nl/n: I’m gonna go see him soon
Jimin went on, “Are you seeing her? Look, you know I don’t care but I’m just upset that my best friend won’t even tell me when there’s a girl he’s seeing. And what about Yoona?”
“What about Yoona?” Taehyung was already typing a response. Him? What do you mean him? Who’s him? Is this him safe? How do you know him? Who told you?
thv: where I’ll meet u there
“I’ve gotta go,” Taehyung looked at the small cafe he was supposed to be having dinner with his friends at a small cafe near campus. He could see the reflection of his childhood friend in the window. She sat by herself staring down at the menu when his phone dinged.
y/nl/n: nooo it’s ok :) u have already done enough
He clicked his tongue as Jimin shook his head, “No, you’re not going anywhere.” He guided Taehyung, “Yoona was pretty upset last night since she wanted to talk to you and you invited her when you had some girl over.”
He wanted to object but couldn’t. You’d already said he didn’t need to go even if he really wanted to. And yes maybe he shouldn’t let Yoona come over when you were there but to be fair he didn’t understand why it was such a big deal. What did Yoona have to say that’s so damn important?
“And I’ve got a test to study so for now I’ll leave you two to it!” And with a final shove Taehyung stumbled inside with Jimin’s push and the bell above the door rang and Yoona saw him. He quickly responded to you and with a sigh joined his friend.
thv: r u sure? pls text me if anything happens
“Tae! Where’s Jimin going?” Yoona had asked despite already knowing. It was her who sent him off anyway. Still, Taehyung slid into the seat across from her not pulling his gaze away from his phone, “He said he has a test.”
He waited for your reply but it never came. He forced himself to listen to what Yoona had to say. It was a whole lot of nothing, unable to hold his attention with small talk. He’s heard it all before. Of course he has. He’s been friends with her since they were in preschool. They know everything about each other’s. He knows what scares her at night and what kind of cookies she likes. He knows how she is after a heartbreak and when she’s mad.
The same could be said about her knowledge on him. She knows what makes him sad and annoyed. She knows the kind of girls that throw themselves at him and how he’s too blind to see it. She assumes that’s what you are. Some random girl he’d gone to for some affection and she hated it. She was right here. Right in front of him and he couldn’t see it.
And yet she let him leave without telling him the truth. He was so distant during dinner that she couldn’t even bring it in herself to confess when his mind was clearly elsewhere. She’d have to hide her time like she’d done in high school with his one other girlfriend.
He was out the door faster than the waitress back with their receipts. He went straight to his place—well not exactly, he stopped at the store and found some things you might enjoy. Just small things like a toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, your own slippers. He had no clue how long you’d be stuck here and you were so obviously unprepared.
He got back to an empty apartment so he waited. And he waited.
And he waited.
He awoke to a loud thud. You’d tripped over your own two feet when you came through the door early morning before his alarm even went off. He’d fallen asleep on the couch. When had he fallen asleep on the couch? He scared you too when you caught him on the couch. He ran his hand over his face, “W—Did you just get home?”
Home. The word had slid off his tongue and he was too drowsy to notice. You’d forced all thoughts of your home out of your head as you took in his stated. Disheveled hair. Jeans. Backpack at his side and a plastic bag full of things. Had he been waiting up for you?
Shit. You were cautious to come sit next to him, “Yes, sorry. He lived all the way across town and by the time we finished researching it was super late. The last bus wasn’t coming anywhere near this way so I had to find a hotel to sleep at for the night. I meant to let you know but I didn’t want to bother you in case you were bus—“
“You could’ve still at least told me!” He didn’t mean to sound so unnerved, “I’m the only person other than this stranger who knows what’s going on with you and you hadn’t even bothered to tell me if you’d come back. Why didn’t you? You could’ve at least let me know you were safe.”
“I’m sorry,” you let your head fall staring down at your lap, “I should have let you know.”
He sighed sitting on the edge of the couch as he reached for the bag of necessities, “No, no it’s okay. I’m sorry I reacted that way. I just don’t want you to think you have to do this all alone. I know it must difficult so I hope this helps. It’s small but since we don’t know how long you’ll be here…”
You stared down at the bag peeking inside. A loofah, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, house slippers. You smiled, “Thank you. I was actually going to head out and buy some clothes. Can’t keep wearing the same thing.”
He looked down at your once clean clothes clearly worn out by a day or two. He left to his bedroom with another loose t-shirt for you. He told you he didn’t have class today. He only had three today and two were cancelled while one was moved to online. He could work on it whenever so he asked to join you when you went out this time. He told himself he was curious, what was the comic like? He wanted to see it again.
You only went to a couple stores to get the basics and Taehyung only joined you for one. He found the bookstore across the street more interesting than when you left to buy some more undergarments. He joined you again for lunch and you went to some restaurant just a couple blocks down. He couldn’t hold in his laugh as his straw poked his upper lip, “Was I really that clueless?”
You nodded your head laughing alongside him as you waited for your food. You were currently discussing chapter 5, an earlier chapter when Taehyung was in his first year of college. One of his seniors was trying to ask him out for some drinks under the pretense of getting close to her juniors but was so obviously flirting. Taehyung had completely brushed her off only to return home thinking about how he’d dream of a cute girl like her giving him her number. You spoke, “Yes! Sometimes you make me want to throw my phone because of it! All these girls that are into you and you don’t notice a single one!”
He chuckled dryly looking over to you as you combed your hair out of your face. Was he really that blind to a girl’s advances? Did he really not notice a single one of them? Why did he notice you so easily? Since the first morning when he’d woken up to you sleeping on the couch you’d taken majority of the space in his thoughts. First, how crazy of a stalker of you to break in. Then, how crazy you were for saying he lived in a webcomic. Or how he believed you. How he saw you cry and ached for you. And he especially noticed when you never came back last night.
For the first time since this started [only four days ago] had he seriously feared the chance that he really might never see you again. If you poofed into his world out of the blue, who is to say you won’t leave it the same way?
Due to the sudden change of thought he cleared his throat, “Can I see more?” You passed him your phone, his hotspot powering your internet and he let everything load.
With furrowed brows he checked the cover again. It was like someone had draw his face down to the exact placement of his beauty marks. Same with Jimin and Yoona. Apparently there were four supporting character but he’s to meet the other two. The index was a photo of the ‘characters’ as you told him. He was in the middle with a small box of his description.

‘Kim Taehyung | college student | DOB: December 30th | main character’
Your phone dinged in his hold and the notification read clear as day, ‘FIRST LOVE 101 UPDATE’.
“Hey, I thought you said they only update once a week,” Taehyung passed you back your phone as your brows knitted together in confusion. The server came and set your food in front of you and you leaned back on your phone. They updated every Monday, it was Thursday. They shouldn’t be updating right unless this was a special announcement. You quickly clicked on the latest chapter, ‘EP. 36: the mystery girl’.
Yeah okay. Way to be subtle, you thought as you scrolled through it. There was no way. No fucking way.
Your expression had him on edge, he took your phone back and looked down at it himself. If he didn’t believe you yet, now it was certain what you’d been saying was the truth.
It’s everything that’s happened this week. The storm, you in his apartment, except there was one thing that was different. You didn’t talk about him being a webcomic character. Instead you said you were to be his guardian Angel to find a girlfriend.
A what?
He nearly spit his water out as it traveled to the back of his throat clogging his airways and having him on the edge of choking. He scrolled, there was his talk with Yoona and Jimin. Yoona looked different, especially in the scene where you’d just finished a shower. She had these strange marks on her red cheeks when she saw you. Her brows had been furrowed and there was a red cloud around her. Was she jealous? Was that what the drawing was supposed to say? He scrolled again, and again, and again. The comments came next and he read them.
@___: no way! a love triangle?
@___: mystery girl from a parallel universe???? when did this turn into some scifi novel
@___: yoona is jealousss
Your phone slid out of his grasp hitting the table with a smack. He cursed apologizing profusely as he passed it back to you after close inspection that it was okay. He sank into his chair when you’d said it was fine and huffed, “So it’s true then? I really am… some cartoon?”
Without thinking you reached for his hand over the table. He couldn’t stop his chest from tightening at the gesture as his lips parted with a light gasp. Your hand was over his, holding onto him as your eyes stared into his. He let his hand move a little only enough room to turn in your hold and squeeze your hand back. You smiled warmly, “No. I think we both know you aren’t a cartoon. I think… I—I haven’t told you what I learned yesterday.”
You aimed for a distraction. You didn’t want him to think about his current situation. He smiled warily, “What’d you learn?” His thumb ran over the expanse of where your index and thumb knuckles met. You weren’t pulling away and neither was he.
“Well, it was this man named Kim Namjoon,” you started off already digging in to your food as you explained, “He’s apparently some sort of theorist of sorts. He has strong beliefs in multiple universes and uses a lot of astrology to base his ideals.”
He nodded his head, not cause he understood but because he wanted you to know he was listening. He poked at his meal with his free hand as you went on, “He was saying that there’s been resesrch linked to signs of a multiverse and ‘Dimension Jumping’. He thinks that’s what happened to me.”
“Something with the storm and the lightning creating electrical currents strong enough to open a portal and something to do with quantum physics that I cannot explain,” you kept going not slowing down to see if he was following, “He thinks that it has something to deal with the apartment. He says it’s closest to some satellite tower and has a lot of energy around it. The energy pulls in the electrical currents from the storm and forces a portal from my world to yours. You say it was raining for you to on Monday so maybe that is why it pulled me through. We both had a very similar experience with weather in a very similar apartment with an almost exact location to the other. If this is some sort of alternate reality than it is very possible that you are not just a cartoon.”
“Okay, so if I’m not actually some sketch, how does this comic exist? How did this new chapter just come out with everything we have gone through?” He pressed feeling you tug your arm back. He let you even if he was reluctant to do so. You clasped your hands together and leaned toward him like this was some sort of secret. It was.
“He thinks there isn’t an actual author for the webcomic. He thinks, it’s a way to connect my world to yours the same way you might watch a movie or dream of a new place. The universe has so many different realities and it only has a limited amount of ways to connect us all together. Similar to the Mandela Effect, a false memory—or well false reality. Maybe in this world there’s a connection to mine too,” you explained, “Probably not to me but maybe one of the books you’ve read has been about someone from my world who others believed had been from here.”
You clicked your tongue suddenly disheartened, “He thinks my best bet is waiting for another blackout. A heavy storm that can power off enough electricity to only focus its energy on any sort of technology if in the right placement. He says that there’s a chance that won’t work but if I do everything the exact same way there’s a chance I might be able to go home. Except I have to wait until another storm.”
“That could be weeks from now.”
“I know,” you sighed looking down again, “But if his theory is right than time might not even be affected the same way. A week here might be an hour there. A day there can be five minutes here. We’re not sure that time follows the same rules.”
And as crazy as it sounded it made sense. You hated that it made sense. You were still convinced this was all a dream but you’d hate for Taehyung to only exist in your head. You liked him. Not in that way but you definitely had a new appreciation for his character—his personality you mean.
Honestly, it was also the only thing that could explain everything too. With as much as you feared the reality of how large the universe was, you couldn’t brush this feeling of smallness. You really were only a small part of the universe on a small planet of billions and billions of people. A small spec in time—barely.
By the time the weekend rolled around you were starting to get the hang around this version of Seoul. Names were different but places remained the same. You spent Friday roaming around, Taehyung had class so you very obviously had nothing to do. You checked your bank account and funds were running unbelievably low. Since you had no idea how long you’d be trapped here you had to limit your spending. It also meant you couldn’t offer Taehyung much help when he went for groceries.
On Saturday the two of you stayed in watching movies all day. You got to see him smile and laugh, and for once you realized the comic never got his smile right. It was always small and covered yet Taehyung smiled widely with a boxy grin. His voice too, so unexpectedly deep and calming. And even if he never picked up hints he was very attentive to you. It’s like he could read you perfectly and always knew what to say. It was so different than the character that had been drawn out. You almost forgot you only knew of him what you read.
You almost imagined you two being an ordinary duo from opposite genders just trying to hang out, be normal. Almost.
There was someone at his door. They knocked loudly, voices on the other end loud and clear, “Hurry up and open the door Taehyung!”
When he left to open the door you thought long and hard over what you’d learned from this Kim Namjoon. He was as close as you were gonna get to help and you couldn’t just ignore everything he said. You heard the numerous voices coming from the door but you refused to turn. You were thinking about the update. The author always released new episodes at midnight every Monday. This update was during the day on a random Thursday. Clearly it wasn’t the author’s doing but the universe trying to make sense of what went wrong. Maybe you did need to follow along, help Taehyung get the girl or pass the class. It was all you could do till the next storm anyway.
You wondered what Jia thought of the new update. She expected to have Yoona confess to Taehyung but it hasn’t happened yet. Why hasn’t it happened?
That’s right. Taehyung’s been busy helping you. Well shit.
“Now who do we have here?” Jimin was the first to speak and you very obviously didn’t need an introduction from him even though he gave you one, “I’m Jimin, Tae you didn’t say you had company over.”
“This is Y/n,” Taehyung cleared his throat as he rounded the coffee table to sit by you again, “Y/n this is Jimin, and you remember Yoona?”
It was weird for him too. He obviously knew you knew who his friends were. You’d been reading about them for a few months now. You flashed the two a shy smile as they sat on the floor by the table. “So, uh,” Taehyung looked over to you before talking to them again, “What are you guys doing here?”
His glances toward you didn’t go unnoticed by his friends and you were suddenly reminded of how the story is supposed to go. Yoona and Taehyung are supposed to be together. The author has hinted at that for weeks now but since technically there wasn’t an author anymore was that still supposed to happen? You caught sight of Yoona looking at skeptically and you shuffled a little away from Taehyung in your seat. You promised yourself you’d help give him a happy ending like the story was supposed to go.
“What do you mean? It’s a Saturday so obviously we are here to get you to go out with us,” Jimin glanced to Y/n, “Feels like we haven’t hung out that much this week.”
You sunk into your seat pretending to be busy on your phone. Taehyung rolled his eyes, “I think I’ve seen you too much this week.”
“Taetae come on, just a few drinks?” Yoona tilted her head to the side hoping to get him to agree. It always worked, flashing in ice to eyes and batting her lashes. She ignored you sitting right beside him and put her attention on him. He let out a sigh as he slumped back like you, shoulders pressed against each other, he looked over to you, “Do you want to?”
Yoona opened her mouth to speak but Jimin nudged her under the table. Jimin has tried everything in his power to help his best friends get together and yet here you were, some new stranger taking Taehyung away from them. He didn’t like it either. The three had been inseparable for so long and he didn’t like that the first sign of someone new Taehyung starts to drift away. You looked back to him, “I don’t have anything to wear.”
Shit. Duh. Of course he knew that. He was ready to tell his friends no when you spoke, “You go ahead and go… I’ll probably just head out.”
Head out? He thought, brows knitting together in confusion and he wanted to ask you where. He’s confused. Where were you gonna go? It was late, already dark out, so
What were you even thinking? You’re not going out right now. He stood up, “Can I talk to you for a minute?” Without waiting for a response he took your hand in his helping you out of your seat and leading you into the privacy of the kitchen hidden behind a half wall so his friends couldn’t see or hear him.
“What do you mean you’ll head out? Where would even go?” He asked feeling the warmth of your hand begin to slip out of his grasp and it took everything in him to not reach back and hold you again. He was whispering again, “I won’t go out. I’ll stay with you if we can’t go together.”
You shook your head taking a step back when he took one forward, it confused him. Was he crossing a line or something? He watched as your lower lip was tugged between you teeth biting down on the subtle plump flesh, “Taehyung go with them, it’s fine. I’ll find a hotel—“
“But why?” His voice rose just a note higher, “Why do you wanna leave?”
You looked toward the time on the stove, it was already late but you’re sure there were still a lot of places open, “They might get the wrong idea, yknow? Didn’t Yoona see me here the other day too? She might think it’s weird that I’m still staying here…”
“Taehyung!” Jimin’s voice called out, “Come on it’s getting late and the lines will get long. What are we doing?”
“Just give us a minute or go without us!” Taehyung shouted back a little more agitated than before. He looked back to you, “What wrong idea? You are staying here.”
“I know but they might think there’s something between us,” you clarified and he rolled his eyes, “I don’t care.”
He took your hand again and led you back to his friends, “Y/n’s staying with me and she didn’t bring any clothes to go out in so I think we’ll just stay home tonight.”
“Home?” Jimin let his brows knit together trying to understand, he plastered a smile onto his face, “Uh, well, if you don’t wanna go out with us then…”
You took your hand out of Taehyung as you jumped to speak, “No! No! Taehyung if you wanna go out… I can just go out in whatever.”
“Are you sure?” He asked and you just nodded. You took the clothes you had put away in his room and went to get changed. Taehyung came in shortly after as you tried to brush your hair, “Y/n, if you don’t wanna go out we don’t have to. We can stay here an—“
“I want to, plus I would feel bad if you didn’t go with your friends,” you looked at your reflection in the mirror. Ordinary jeans. Ordinary shirt. Ordinary hair. “They’ve missed you.”
So the four of you went out. You tried to ignore the way Taehyung was paying more attention to you than anyone else. He brought you a drink, he kept to your side, he made sure to bring you into the conversation, everything. You didn’t want to think about the butterflies fluttering in your stomach when he reached forward to brush a stray hair out of your face with a smile, gentle and kind.
Yoona watched you two closely. What was going on? Who were you? Why hadn’t Taehyung ever mentioned you before this week? If you really were his friend wouldn’t Yoona know who you are? She knew all his friends. She definitely didn’t know you. And why were you at Taehyung’s again? Is that really why Taehyung’s been sort of distant this week? They’ve always been so close yet the last couple days she’s felt like Taehyung has just brushed her off. She’s tried to confess her feelings for him and now she’s hesitant about it. Did Taehyung like you? He definitely seemed like it and it was driving her crazy.
Who were you to just come out of the blue and take her Taehyung from her?
“So, Yoona, Taehyung tells me you’re a dancer?” He didn’t actually tell you that. You read it, you remember Taehyung going to see her recital in chapter 15. She’d blushed beet red when Taehyung had taken her flowers and she stood between him and Jimin for a picture.
She rolled her eyes when you spoke but a part of her blushed. Taehyung talked to you about her? [No, he didn’t. But she didn’t need to know that]. “Dance?” Taehyung looked over to you again a sudden idea coming to mind, “Y/n come on, let’s go dance.”
And you were gone. Yoona and Jimin watched in confusion as Taehyung tugged you along behind him. His arms wrapped around you and they watched as you two danced together. His hands going down to your waist pulling you closer as you swayed to the beat of the music. He was smiling at you, different than she’d ever seen him smile before and it hurt. Why was he only focused on you?
“Who is she?” Jimin was at Yoona’s side, “I swear I’ve never heard him mention her before and then all of a sudden it’s like she’s all he could focus on.”
“I know,” Yoona sighed, “I don’t get it. I thought we were getting closer.”
Jimin frowned, he pitied Yoona. She was the youngest of the three so growing up Jimin always felt like he and Taehyung were her protectors. They cared about Yoona and Jimin hated seeing her upset. She told him how she loved Taehyung and Jimin had promised to find a way to make her happy. And here you were ruining it.
He loved Yoona but she loved Taehyung, and he cared for her happiness more than his own.
Taehyung poked your sides again smiling whenever you squirmed fighting off a laugh, “Taehyung! Stop!” He held you close not caring about the bodies around him dancing to a song he wasn’t listening to. His hands were around your waist and he was so tempted to just keep you in his arms forever. Never let you go back to your home and keep you for himself.
It scared him a little. How a complete stranger he’d met barely a week ago was suddenly so involved in his life. This week he’d woken to your pretty face almost every day, and he never realized how alone he’d been before you. He knows he’s only known you for a few days but you were together a lot, he thought about you a lot, and he’d never met someone as crazy as you. Everything you’ve told him and he believed it all. He believed you. You were exciting and different. So new to him and he hated how easily he’d fallen for you in such little time.
Without thinking he’d been moving closer, eyes focused on the softness of your lips when you smiled and his eyes fluttered shut. You could feel the change in the air, could see him begin to lean and fuck did you want to kiss him. You seriously did and you hated it. This wasn’t supposed to happen. You weren’t even supposed to exist in the same place and yet here you both were. In such short time had he provided you care when he gained nothing from it. If anything all you’ve done is put a strain on him and his relationships with his closest friends. You could tell by the way they watched your every move.
So because of that, you’d turned your head, his nose and lips brushing against your cheek. He felt his chest cave, heart beat fast and unsteady suddenly aware of what had just happened. You just rejected him. He just… he just tried to kiss you and you didn’t want it. What was wrong with him? What made him do that? What was he thinking? Your hands were on his chest pushing him back just a little, “I think we should get back to your friends.”
He swallowed back the lump in his throat and nodded. Embarrassment seeping through his veins as he cleared his throat forcing himself to move on. It was stupid of him. How could he ever think that could happen? You were different from him. You knew that and he was the idiot he pretended you weren’t. He let his bad thoughts take over, wishing you’d never return home so you could stay with him and it led him to act on impulse. Stupid.
You got home late. You checked the weather app and your eyes widened. You went in search for Taehyung as he pushed the key into his apartment. He wasn’t talking to you, he’s embarrassed he’d do something stupid again and you felt bad. It’s not that you didn’t want to kiss him. Obviously you did but you also couldn’t push the reality of things away. He was not like you. You weren’t like him.
“Taehyung,” your voice was soft and gentle and he hated how hopeful it made him. Like you’d suddenly change your mind and choose to stay with him. Idiot.
“There’s a storm on Monday.”
He went to class on Monday even if he didn’t want to. He wanted to spend the day with you, in case it really was your last day but he couldn’t bring himself to. He thinks it’d hurt too much if he did. Jimin tried talking to him throughout the day but he couldn’t listen.
“What’s wrong with you?” Jimin asked suddenly annoyed by his friend’s behavior. Taehyung spoke, “I think Y/n’s leaving.”
“She’s going back to her place?”
“Yes.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” Jimin chuckled, “You get your place back, you don’t have to worry. I know she was your friend but you were so different last week. You’re acting like you’ll never see her again.”
He glared at Jimin. He never has felt angry with his friend, ever. But right now he needed him to shut up. He’d never understand. He’d never get how you quite literally changed his entire perspective on his own existence in that short week and opened his eyes.
Everything in his life had been planned, drawn and mapped out. From who his friends were to his childhood, his education, his fucking dreams. And he blindly followed the path, the hurt and stress from his own life was all for entertainment. The universe’s entertainment. He scoffed, “You don’t know anything.”
His voice was bitter. His chair skidded across the floor of the library echoing inside and he was storming off. Angry with Jimin. Angry with you. Angry with his life. Everything.
You were the only thing in his life that hadn’t been planned and you were leaving.
When he came through his front door you were shocked. You rose to your foot, “Taehyung… your home early.”
“I… Y/n,” he stood in front of you, “I’m sorry for the other night when I tried to kiss you. I’m sorry that I did that and that I was mean to you when we first met.”
You shook your head, “No no it’s okay. I’m sorry, I came here and I’ve ruined your week and wasted your time and I’m sorry. This isn’t how it was supposed to go. You were supposed to be with Yoona and she was supposed to confess and I ruined that by being he—“
“I don’t care about Yoona!” He cut you off making you jump, “Just… just let me say what I have to say.”
You nodded embarrassed with yourself. He paced back and forth trying to form the right words in his head. What was he going to tell you? He took a deep breath, “Listen, this last week has been the weirdest, most unbelievable, out of the ordinary shit I’ve ever been through. A stranger was in my house. Told me the craziest fucking story I’d ever heard. Made me believe in things that just didn’t make sense. Multiverses. Webcomics. Psychics…”
You opened your mouth to speak but stopped yourself. “You told me everything that had ever happened in my life, you read it. Read it!” He scoffed, “Some character in a romance novel, me! I’ve only had one girlfriend before and you tried telling me I was in a romance book!”
“I’m sorry…”
He was in front of you again, “For what? I tried to keep in how that made me feel. How I seriously couldn’t comprehend how I… wasn’t real? How I couldn’t make any decisions on my own and that my whole had basically been a story.”
“And it made me think. Was anything in my life really mine? My friends? My apartment, my parents? Or were they all just stuck with me because that’s what the author wrote,” he took a deep breath, “And that made me mad because nothing had ever been up to me. Not the people I was friends with or the sports I played. Nothing.”
“But then you came along, and it was different. You were different,” he scoffed as he vented, finally getting off his chest, “You were exciting and I’d never met anyone like you. You cried in front of me, I just wanted to keep you close, keep you to myself. It was like I had a secret, something that was just mind but I knew it wouldn’t last. It couldn’t. You don’t belong here, I know that. I know that something bad could happen if you don’t return…”
“And it’s like I had never felt what you made me feel. Nothing had ever felt so strange and unsure before. My life was so ordinary, same friends, same things day in and day out but you were just so weird. Everything you said, everything that happened. I’d spend hours looking at myself trying to see what was it about me that wasn’t right. What was me and was the author’s design. I’m supposed to be with Yoona, I got that already when I read the comic. Everything was leading up to it,” he ran his trembling fingers through his hair, “But I don’t care. Why does everything in my life have to be decided? I’ve never felt for Yoona what I have felt for you in just one week!”
“You did this,” he took a step toward you, “You ruined my perfect life and I know I shouldn’t but fuck, I think I love you.”
“Taehyung…”
“I know! I know I shouldn’t,” he sniffled watching the sun begin to set, storm clouds covering the sky in gloom, “But I can’t help it. I might never ever see you again. I might not even remember you but fuck, I really want to. I love you Y/n, I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t. We weren’t made to be together but I am going to miss you so fucking much.”
The corners of his eyes glistened, a tear falling and you could feel the stream of coolness slip from your own too with each tear drop that fell. His heart broke at the sight. He didn’t care if tears fell from his own eyes but instead of how he was clearly upsetting you, “It’s just… you are going to be able to go back and read that comic and see me and I won’t have anything of you to keep. I don’t want to forget you.”
You weren’t thinking about what you were doing when you reached for his face cupping his cheeks, “I love you too. It’s crazy because I’ve only known you for a week but I know I do. And I’m going to miss you like crazy. No one had ever been so considerate of me as you. I don’t want to leave but I’m also scared of what will happen if I don’t go back home. I might never get a chance again.”
“I know,” his forehead rested against yours, a tear of his landing on your cheek, lips brushing against yours when your noses nudged each other’s, “I hate that I don’t want you to leave. I don’t want to let you go but I know that’s me being selfish.”
You looked up at him, the hurt in his eyes that mirrored the ache in your chest. Fuck it. You didn’t care if he was supposed to be with Yoona. You would possibly never see him again after tonight so you couldn’t stop yourself from acting on impulse.
His eyes fluttered shut when your lips touched his again, he tucked a hand under your chin and deepened the kiss. An explosion of electricity coursed through his veins and he was letting his tongue explore your mouth. His hands were on your waist pulling you against him, scared you’d go right at this moment. The storm began, he could hear the cracks of lightning but it didn’t stop him. It was still early. He still had time.
He pulled away to catch his breath, eyes studying every detail in your face. He was desperate. “Can you be mine? My little secret for one more night,” he trailed off, drawing you back into a kiss, poking his tongue at your lips. You let him right in, your tongues dancing with each other as he pushed you back against the couch until you legs hit the cushion falling back. Finally he drew back, the two of you gasping for breath. “I love you”
“I love you too,” you confessed again glancing down and away, a dark crimson blush flushing your face.
Another, more sweet smile crossed Taehyung’s face that you’d grown used to. “Come here,” he pulled you forward, you sat drawn into his kiss when he pulled away to get a good look at you. He wanted to remember everything about you. He pulled on your shirt tugging it over your head and led you back down. He took your sweats off next as he moved down slightly on the bed and pulled away your panties, already darkened with arousal.
His breath hitched feeling the strain in his own pants, “You’re so beautiful ” he let out another low, shaky laugh. You reached for his shirt and he let you pull it off but stopped your hand before it reached his pants. “No, I want to take my time with you, remember everything about you that I can.”
Dipping down further, he spread apart your legs kissing along your hip bone, breathing in your scent tracing every soft curve. You inhaled deeply when he went lower, soft kisses against your hooded clit. He smiled against your skin, tongue sticking out to begin lapping at you, your sweet taste already coating his tongue. “I want to remember everything about you” he hummed as you released a soft moan due to his gentle kisses against your clit.
You were sensitive, the anticipation making the feeling of his ministrations intensify tenfold. “Taehyung!”
Smirking as well as he could while still eating you out, Taehyung confidence was returning to him, relaxing knowing you were in his arms. Moving to suck at your clit momentarily, extracting a whine from you, he stuck his tongue deep into your heat, causing you to shriek as the pleasure spiked.
Head hazy with lust, you were barely able to speak as he went on, switching between deep, penetrating licks, broad strokes across the folds of your sex, and teasing sucks of your clit. More of your slick poured into his mouth, and he was drinking it down like a starved man, driving you to a peak more intense than you had ever felt. This wasn’t your first time and neither was it his but everything felt so new, so sensitive.
As your noises got more and more shrill, less and less words coming out in favor of them, he knew he had you on the brink. Feeling you tremble, whining as he pulled away, causing you to snap back to focus.
He was quick in removing his own pants to show his hard, eager member standing at full attention. “I want you to cum with me,” he jeered, teasingly tracing a finger across your pussy to elicit another gasp.
You huffed, pulling yourself onto your knees and he took your spot on the couch. His hand was stroking his member, hot and heavy in his hands eager to be inside you. You lowered yourself between his legs, letting yourself get as close to his member as possible as his breath hitched. You let his member run along your face licking a stripe against his member even over his hands. He moved his hand away when you took hold of him letting the precum that dribbled out of his slit to coat his member. He bit into his bottom lip when you began to wrap your lips around the head.
Taehyung groaned warmly, as you swirled your tongue around his tip, drawing back to lick up and down his whole length, switching rapidly between long licks, sucking on the tip, and kissing it all over. Your lust had you feverishly worshiping him, getting all manner of grunts and gasps from the man above you, his hand caressed your way. Precum weeped from his tip as you continued your assault, humming at the taste on your tongue.
“Y/n,” his voice was breathless, “Slow down baby, please?” he whined, gripping your hair to yank you away from his cock. “Lay back down…” he begged, easing you back into the couch, “I need to be inside you.”
Shifting forward so his form loomed over you, he pushed hair out of your face as he lined himself up. “Is this okay?” he asked, his eyes softening.
Nodding, you let him spreads your legs further as he made himself comfortable between them. You both giggled and a sudden rush of happiness filled you. He licked at his dry lips leaning down to capture your lips with his before pressing in, moaning together as pleasure like lightning coursed through you both. “Fuck , Y/n, you’re so…warm” he panted, barely able to restrain himself from moving. He’s had one girlfriend before in his life and has slept with a total of three women before but this felt new and exciting to him.
“Taehyung, please move,” you gasped in reply, the fullness unlike anything you had ever felt.
Taehyung began a rough pace from the get-go, slamming into the tightness with vigor, a need to provide you pleasure.
You felt like you might combust, but you didn’t dare to ask him to stop, as that was the absolute last thing you wanted. You were going to miss him so damn much, you just wanted everything he’d give you. His pace was relentless, his hands grasping every part of you he could touch wanting to feel you everywhere.
“I…I don’t want you to leave” he huffed, unable to keep his breath steady with little effort. He bent down, locking lips with yours cutting off your moans. Your arms wrapping around his neck so he couldn’t back off, not that he’d ever dream of it. You were putty in his hands, and you melted into the kiss with a passion sucking on his tongue with a desperation that he met hungrily.
You clenched around him, his rock-hard length put into a vice-like grip as you gasped, “I’m gonna—“ he kissed you deeply, “Let go, please, I want to feel—ngh,” he cut himself off when you tightened again as you started to cum, your orgasm building up like an itch that exploded as he hit that one deep spot that drove you wild again and again. Taehyung pulled back from your kiss to pant out his warning. “Y/n, I’m s-so close, where-”
“Inside!” was all you could say before kissing him again, humming as he groaned into your mouth, hilting himself as his cock pulsed, dumping rope after thick rope of cum into your depths, his load beginning to drip out of you before he was even finished. He’d lifted your hips off the couch just slightly to anchor himself with you until you both came down from your high.
Finally he felt himself struggling to breath and it forced him into breaking your kiss once more so you could both gasp for air. Withdrawing his now flaccid length, he looked down to see a flood of white pour out. “I’m sorry, I didn’t expect—” he panted, flopping onto his side next to her.
“I love you,” you said through gulps of air, the aftershocks of your orgams still running through you.
“I love you,” he repeated kissing the tip of your nose as he yanked on the throw blanket draping it over the both of you. He wrapped his arm around your waist watching the lightning from the storm illuminate your face. He looked up at the clock. 11:34pm.
So close to midnight. So close to losing you. He rested his head on your chest cuddling into your warmth.
“I don’t want to leave you.”
“You have to.” He fought back the lump in his throat as the truth became in front of him, “Just let me hold you until you do.”
It was quiet again. He took his t-shirt to clean up the mess between your legs gently, “Do you believe in soulmates?”
“What?”
“Nevermind it’s stupid,” he shook his own thoughts away. You turned in his hold to face him better. He smiled when you kissed his forehead feeling into your touch. You sighed, “No, tell me. It’s not stupid.”
“It’s just,” he licked his lips nervously letting the loud cracks of thunder and heavy rain cut between his words, “I think you’re my soulmate. I think that the universe brought you here for a reason. It was fate. Had to be. And even if we can’t be together, I think I was supposed to meet you.”
You captured his lips with yours, eyes closing feeling super drowsy. He let you fall asleep in his arms, phone open and on the comic, letting himself sleep with your warmth.
His breath caught in his throat jolting him awake. He was alone, the sun shone brightly in his room. It felt like a big hole was in his chest, empty, a giant void. He could feel himself close to falling apart.
He reached for his phone that lied on a paper, a paper with ink writing on it that he picked up.
‘Please don’t ever forget me :) you are the best thing to ever happen to me. You fell asleep before I wrote this so I wanted to let you know one more time that I love you and that you should check your phone. — love, y/n”
He grabbed his phone, unlocking it and pulling up his tabs finding the most recent app. The camera. He clicked on his camera roll, a tear slipping from his eyes as he stared.
It was a picture. He was asleep in your arms and you had your lips pressed against his forehead. He smiled, salty tear slipping into his mouth.

Ring. Ring. Ring.
You jumped, rolled off the couch and fell on the floor. You squinted at the bright sun feeling around your phone, “Hello?”
“Jesus Christ finally!” Your best friend, Jia, shouted immediately jolting you up, “She finally did it! She finally confessed and Taehyung. That little shit!”
“What?” You rubbed at your eyes taking in the sight of your apartment, suddenly foreign to you.
“You didn’t read it? Go look!”
You went to the app, brows furrowed. No.
You scrolled, it was gone.
The chapter for ‘mysterious girl’ was gone. The one you’d read on the night you went into the comic was gone. It was like you never left. Jia would’ve been worried if you were gone. It was the 18th of May. O5.18.22.
You read quickly. The chapter was ordinary. Yoona met up with Taehyung at his place to study wearing the same clothes you met her in. You weren’t there. She confessed to him and he…
He rejected.
‘I love you Yoona, but not the way you want me to,” A word bubble above Taehyung read, “I have a lot of things to learn about myself. I feel like I don’t even know who I am and I want to take time to choose a life for myself that I can love.”
The chapter ended with an ‘Instagram’ post from Taehyung.

thv: I hope u don’t forget me either

I have decided to discontinue the comic, a sad ending for all of the fans but it was something that must be done. This has turned into a story of self discovery and self love. A love that should always come first. And Taehyung is at a point to take his own path and I, as his creator, has no right to continue to control him. Therefore, this is the end.
— Sincerely, the author of ‘First Love 101’, Kim Namjoon.’

My Letter To You
I still think about you.
No matter what I do, there not a thought in mind that doesn’t have you in it.
I remember your smile, your laughter, the days when we would lay in bed and talk about our future. Even though there was a small amount of doubt that there was no future for us.
And it was true.
Now I am laying in the same bed, watching the day go by. Wanting nothing more than to have these days back, even if it’s for a moment.
But it doesn’t happen. I close my eyes, hoping that this was nothing but a dream, it’s not. My heart is in too much pain to be one. I cried myself asleep that night.
Your friends came over today. They didn’t say much, only gave me a hug, and sat down for a drink. The room was quiet for the next 15 minutes they were here, they said that they only wanted to check up on me because no one has seen me in a while. They left me with a certain thought on my mind.
‘If everyone was so worried, why didn’t you come to see me?’ Although the answer was simple, I just don’t want to believe it.
——
Today was my birthday and tried my best not to call you, I really did. But I had to hear your voice one last time. I pick up the phone, wiping the dust that been collected on it and press your name.
“We’re sorry; you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. Please hang up and try again.”
Of course, why would you pick up? There is no way you would talk to me. Not after…
I think this letter is getting too long and I should end this here.
Maybe in the next life, there will be another chance for us.
Sincerely…

(Warning is my first time writing in a long time, so yeah…)
His fingertips softly dance across your skin, making your body feel hot. His eyes take you in careful to not miss anything while he engraves the memories of you in his mind as if this was the last time would see you. Which it could be, that was your biggest fear that maybe somebody was to find out.
“My love, there is no need to worry. I wouldn’t let anyone lay a finger on you. Ever.” His voice was soft whisper against the pillow he laid on.
Of course, he knew what you were thinking, he read you like a book. But that didn’t help the ease the thoughts, your mind continually screaming at you to run away, beg the heavens for forgiveness, and make everything right again.
Your fingers ran through his hair, removing the few strands from his face. Staring into his bright red eyes that hold so much love for you in them. The orange glow of the evening sun peaks through the curtains leaving awe at how much the light showed more of his beauty.
A small smile appears on your face feeling the soft kisses being collected on your jawline to your cheeks and finally your lips. It a peck at first, but one look at you and his lips reconnect longer, deeper as his hands slowly go under your shirt tracing the place your wings would appear.
You gasped on his lips sensitive to the area he was touching.
You knew what he was doing trying to distract you from your thoughts, but something more lingers around his reasons.
He wanted more, you wanted more. I mean hell-geez you wanted it after the second time meeting him. It was out of the question though you sinned too much already.
Minutes turned into hours of nothing, but kisses and sweet words whispered in each other’s ears. Soon the moon rose high in the night sky telling you it was time for the thing you dread the most, him leaving you.
“You need to go before they notice and come look for you.” You spoke, your throat felt more dry with every word that came out your mouth.
You hated this. You wanted nothing more than to stay in this bed with the embrace of his warmth, but that…that wasn’t going to happen. He was slow getting up from the bed. Making sure the memories were still there before stealing one last kiss from you and walked to the darkest area in the room.
“Until I get to see you again, my love.” He said, letting the darkness swallow him whole until you didn’t feel his presence anymore.
You felt the tears welling up you tried to stop them from falling, but it was no use. The tears were already rolling down your cheeks.
You were afraid. You were worried that this might be the last time you’ll ever see him again. Afraid that those were the last word he said to you. Afraid that somebody will find out about the affairs of the angel and the demon.

“Y/n, please, I can’t take anymore.” Her weak voice echoes around the room, along with the quiet sound of vibration. You watched her face twist of pain and pleasure, but no matter how much she begs for you to stop, you just can’t seem to stop when she look and sound so beautiful.
You pull the vibrator from between her legs to give her a moment to breathe. Only to dive in getting a taste of her. Her nails digging in your scalp as she falls back on the bed and arches her back to the point it almost looks uncomfortable.
“Fuck Y/n, that feels so good.” She moaned riding your face getting closer to the high she been denied all night.
You could feel that she was getting close the way she closed her thighs around tight, her body shakes prepared for what’s to come. But it was something you couldn’t let happen, you watched as her hips thrust in the air looking for something, anything to release this burning feeling at the pit of her stomach.
You sighed heavily it was such a beautiful sight before your eyes you wish this would last longer, but her punishment ended hours ago, you just got carried away. Placing the toy back on her very sensitive clit, her eyes teared up as rode the toy hoping this will push I'ver her the edge.
“You want to cum, do you?” You asked, pushing it down harder.
“Please, Y/n. I’ll be good, just let me cum.” She cried it didn’t last long once the toy hit a spot that had her eyes rolling to the back of her head.
Lies. There was no way she was going to do that, plus it wouldn’t be fun to always be good.
Her climax came hard to the point that she squirted all over the bed. Which impressed you more than it should. You turn the toy off before it became too much for her and give her time to breathe while you cleaned up everything else. Only for her to fall quickly asleep.
She had a long night and probably won’t be able to go to work in the morning, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Tell me why?”
Her voice was so low you almost missed her question, but you weren’t going to answer it. Just like the other thirty questions that were asked, but never answered. These eyes stared at you filled with feelings you never have seen before, but you only rolled your eyes and continue watching the moving pictures on the magical box. The girl whined with a pouted, not liking the feeling of being ignored, she circled her arms around your torso, making you jump at the sudden contact. It was a strange feeling of this species so close, but it was also a reminder you been here for far too long. You had a job to do, data to collect, a ship to repair, and a planet to go back to.
You quickly got up and headed towards outside to the “shed” where your ship was located to continue the long list of repairs.
“Wait.”
You sighed and turned around to face her.
“Tell me when the rest of you are really going to invade earth.”
That was top secret, and one should not share such knowledge. You continue walking, leaving her hanging once again.

Morning Sky
Jongin (Kai) x yandere reader
This was a multi-chapter book I was supposed to write in 2017 ish, but I had a 2-year writer's blocks, so yeah, that didn't work out. I really hope that you enjoy this and look forward to more of my writing.
——————————————————————
"Jongin-ah~ wake up." A voice softly spoke in his ear; he didn't know why he was being woken up so early it felt like he just fell asleep. Following the unknown voice orders, Jongin sat up rubbing his eyes to get the sleepiness out of them, looking up he notices a girl standing above him holding a tray. Jongin open his eyes a bit, he didn't know what he was looking at the girl's face was blurred so he couldn't really see what she looks like but looking over the rest of her body, she had S/C skin, her hair was H/L with H/C, he must say they were some nice feature on her. Jongin look around the room he was in; it was his room, but why did it feel different?
A giggle left the girl's lips, making Jongin look up at her, confused on what is funny. "Jongin-ah, why are you looking around like you don't know what your room looks like?" She asked, tilting her head giggle even more at his face.
Even though he couldn't see her face, he could tell she was smiling, ignoring her question, he looks at the tray she was holding to see some of his favorite food. Picking up one of the mouth-watering items, he looks at the girl once more before taking a bite.
"Who are you? And why are you in my house?"Asking the questions that really needed to be asked before swallowing the food.
The whole room was silent. He couldn't tell if it was a good or bad sign, but he continues to eat the food, not bothering to look up at the girl if he couldn't really see her face. The sound of metal clacking as the girl place the tray on his dresser, and then squad down, getting a clear view of his face what was unknowing to Jongin was a small smile framed her face as she observed him the food she spent all morning to make.
"Don't you remember? I live here, silly." The words made Jongin chock on the food in his mouth.
'What the fuck does she mean?!' He thought to stare at the girl with wide eyes he shook his head not believing the information she just told him. "No, you don't. I don't even know you, and did my parents agreed to this?" His blood boiled at the thought of his parents, letting a stranger in without asking him first.
The girl leaned forward making Jongin lean back really he was more creep out by the blur on her face than how close she was suddenly, she started laughing, but it wasn't like the 'man, your face is so funny,' but a more like a creepy laugh sounds like a sociopath's laugh which didn't sit well with him. He tried saying something, but there was something in his mouth he reaches in there and pulls out strings of hair that look just like his mother's hair, his hands become wet he looks down at his hands and saws it.
Jongin dropped the item that was he once was happily eating on the ground; Its juices splashed on the floor some land on the girl's feet. Blood. On the floor, on his hands, it was everywhere.
"Your parents don't have to agree to anything...because they're dead. And nobody will take you away from me, no one." She seems to like the thought from the smile that spread across her face, "Mine. All mine."
Beep Beep.
It was just a dream.
