soft reminder: stop being embarrassed over everything you say or do! you’re growing and the process is sometimes messy and awkward, but when you’re true to yourself it’s a beautiful thing to witness because sometimes, so-called imperfections also make you more you - in a good way, just ask people who love you! you’ll also have more peace because you’re completely accepting of yourself. this genuineness can radiate off you and can inspire others too ♡
Devastatingly, I am a pauper with no espresso machine but I thworped it into some cold brew with vanilla almond creamer and 🤌 delichis.
Recipe from Starbucks at home 🥄
1 ½ cup sugar
1 ½ cup water
6 cinnamon sticks (or 3 Tbsp ground cinnamon)
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp ground nutmeg
4 Tbsp pumpkin puree
•Combine sugar and water in saucepan and bring to a simmer.
•Once sugar is dissolved, add cinnamon sticks, ground cloves, ginger, nutmeg and pumpkin puree, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
•Remove from heat and immediately strain through cheesecloth.
•Add to coffee—3 Tbsp syrup, one cup of milk, one shot of espresso OR do what I did & mix cold brew coffee, syrup, and Silk’s almond vanilla creamer together until it’s delicious!
ok so i finished life is strange 2 yesterday and i just had to post it here - this game is absolutely brilliant. spent the whole evening crying my ass out at how it all ended. what a journey! if you haven’t played it, seriously do (start with the first one though if you haven’t played it too), I can’t shut up about how cool this game is lol also it’s perfect for those autumn vibes because of the sceneries and forest scenes 🍂
i started my classes this week and since this is my last semester of undergrad, i’m actually taking almost all of my classes at the grad school (except for german) … so far they’ve been really amazing and i really like all of my professors! p.s. i made pancakes today for brunch and although some turned out better than others, they were overall very yummy
May 11, 2021: After two days of really nice sunny weather, it’s back to rain for us. Spent today making plots in R. They are probably going into the thesis appendix (if at all) but oh wel, they brought some clarity in regards to the data I produced. [57/100]
Haya Abu alOuf, a survivor of the #WehdaStreetMassacre in Gaza that took away the lives of 42 of her family members, neighbors, and loved ones, has something to say to the world. Hear her out!
Stop this “work hard” bullshit. You deserve free time, you deserve sleep and you deserve mental health. You deserve to procrastinate and you deserve to have your hobbies. You deserve it. You need it. No one should work & study all the time.
