Fuuuuuuck!
So I haven't posted on here for a while, but I've been playing a neighbourhood for a few months now, and today the worst thing happened. When trying to save, I got an error message, so tried again. My game was gone from the saves list, but I could save as a new game. So I did that for a while (it kept happening), then I got worried and restarted my XBox and the game. This worked fine for the family I'd been playing and I could save without issue. Then, I moved a new guy into an apartment and got him a girlfriend who moved in. I went to save and the error was back. This time I tried the same 'save as new game' tactic but this time it didn't work. It looked as though it had, but when I went to save again, the new save was nowhere to be seen and the last saved game I could see showed the previous family. So, I tried restarting again. Both the new saved game and the original version were gone, and the autosave wasn't showing up at all despite there being a space for it. Suddenly I had an idea. What if I uninstall and reinstall the game? Well, of course that didn't bloody work, did it? So now my game I've been playing for months is gone, never to return. I just don't get why!!! Google isn't helping as the only forum post I can find where someone had this issue was marked as solved when the person later came back and said it actually wasn't solved, and no one else commented after that. I'm so sad.... I know it's only a game, but I work hard to create my sims and their stories. It's my escape after a long day at work, and now my families are gone. I'm too mad to even think about starting another game right now...

Things are getting even more exciting for the Potters.
Lola is all grown up! She moved in with her boyfriend Dave and they both got jobs in the hospital. Lola is doing really well. They also had their first son, Johnny and are now expecting again.
The other children all became teens and began their own relationships and enjoyed making new friends.
The animals are also doing well, and the Potters welcomed a new arrival, Border Collie puppy Chester.
Cerys became an adult and moved in with her boyfriend Shaun. They got married and are now expecting their first child.

Things have continued to move along well for the Potters.
While still living in Oasis Springs, my fiance became my husband. We also had our fourth and final child, a lovely daughter named Chloe (not pictured - for some reason there are hardly any screen shots of her!)
When Sims 4 Cats And Dogs was released to XBox, I made sure that the Potters got some cute pets. We adopted a cute puppy, and Australian Shepherd named Honey, and a sweet little Burmese cat named Peanut. Both quickly became valued members of the household.
The kids continued to grow and eventually, we were able to leave Oasis Springs and move to Brindleton Bay, where we built our own beautiful house. The house was, and still is, a work in progress, but it will be the forever home until it is passed down to one of the children and their family to live in when we’re old.

I haven’t posted for a while, but I’ve been simming a lot. I created myself and my boyfriend and we’ve ended up having quite the family!
My boyfriend and I started out living in a mouse infested apartment in San Myshuno and started trying to make money so we could get out. My boyfriend went out and busked with his guitar whenever he could spare the time, and I painted and wrote books that I sold. We both had jobs too - he was a musician and I was a writer. While living in the horrible apartment, we got engaged.
We then moved to another apartment that was better quality, but way too small to start a family in. We did however have our first daughter, the beautiful redheaded Lola. Shortly after, we had our second lovely daughter, Cerys and moved into our first home in Willow Creek.
By this point, mine and my fiance’s money making ventures meant that we were pulling in a good amount each day through song and book loyalties, so we didn’t spend long in that house. We bought a bigger house in Oasis Springs and had our first son, Michael.
Note - I am playing this legacy without cheats as much as possible. I did turn off ageing at the start, but once I got pregnant, I turned it on.

So, I’ve been gone a while, but that’s not because I’ve stopped playing The Sims. I mean, come on now, I’ve been playing since it first came out, so I’m hardly going to stop now!
The reason for my absence was that my personal life became very busy. I have mentioned in previous posts that I am now in a relationship with the most wonderful person I have ever met. That wonderful person has kept my occupied in a lot of my free time, meaning I had less time to really sink myself into a sim legacy.
Now, before you start criticising my wonderful person for taking me away from my game, I have to tell you the amazing things he did for me. At Christmas, he bought me an XBox One! I was so shocked and touched that he would buy something so expensive for me. Alongside the XBox, he also bought me a couple of games. One of those games was The Sims 4!
Playing this game on the XBox has taken some getting used to. Not only did I have to learn how to use the controller properly, but I also had to adapt to a different way of playing. One of the main reasons my boyfriend bought me the game for the XBox and not for my laptop was to prevent me from breaking my game with custom content. He is far more sensible than me in that respect, and to be honest, I think he was sick of hearing me complain about my glitchy game that took forever to load - that was all down to the sheer volume of CC and some dodgy CC I couldn’t seem to remove from my game. Surprisingly, it’s been pretty easy to get used to a clean game. The clothes and hair in The Sims 4 aren’t all that bad, and I’ve stopped worrying so much when two people turn up in the same outfit. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really effect the stories I’m creating.
Another thing that is different is how I’m keeping track of memories. I can’t take as many screenshots because I don’t want to fill up my console, and it has taken me until today to work out how to transfer them to my laptop. Now I have a fully flown neighbourhood (in its second generation), I hope to get some more screenshots to share with you. The photos above are from my latest neighbourhood. I created a group of single sims and had them pair up. Each couple had one child (apart from the Dedmans who had twins), and now the kids have grown into teens and have started forming relationships of their own.
Pictured here:

Image 5 - Alexandra Satchell and Hayley Burgess are now teenagers!
Stay tuned for more updates soon!

Things have been quiet on Tumblr for a while now, and that’s not because I’m having horrendous game glitches or anything bad like that. I actually have some very good news!
For the first time in my life, I have someone to call my own. During the summer, I finally got together with my crush Simon and things have been wonderful ever since. He’s everything I wanted him to be and more! I have never been so happy!
Girlfriend duties have meant I’ve had a lot less time to spend on The Sims, not that I’m complaining! I managed to squeeze in some game time recently, and surprise, surprise, I made Simon and I and started living out our fantasy future life. Here’s the first update!
Simon and I moved in to a tiny bungalow that, although very dated, was enough for us. We spent blissful days in each other’s company, playing video games and generally being awesome. We got a little old lady cat called Honey from the shelter - I finally converted Simon to a cat person ;).
Simon proposed to me, and then we had a private wedding at home. Married life is bliss!

Exciting times for the Edmundson-Bennetts.
The family welcomed a new arrival, baby Simon (named after my real life boyfriend). This adorable little boy has already brought so much to the household and now he is a toddler, his parents and Grandma will be able to enjoy the experience of helping him learn to walk, talk and potty train.
Owen and Carmen have joined forces and formed a band, Black Passion. They haven’t landed any gigs yet, but they have purchased another additional property which is being turned into a band studio.
Michelle has been having ever more success with her paintings and has even painted a portrait of Purdy to put in the house.
Purdy is settling in well and I am debating getting her a play mate.

Just a short update. There was both joy and sadness for the Edmundson-Bennetts tonight.
Carmen discovered she was pregnant. She and Owen are both working in the Music career and are avidly brushing up on their guitar and piano skills.
Des died of old age which has sent shock waves through the family. It’s such a shame he won’t get to meet his grandchild.
A new family member arrived when Carmen decided to adopt a cat, Purdy. Hopefully she and the baby will cheer the family up.
