First cross stitch piece for my abstract art collection that will be up @cafe_amor_art in October! I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. Other than some small stuff and turning pictures into patterns (with computer help), this is the first real pattern I’ve done on my own. I even hand drew it on graph paper! It changed quite a bit from my original pattern, but it was fun to go “off pattern” and add elements to help it come together. These two pieces will be part of a new series I am displaying/selling @cafe_amor_art in October! I have to start early because cross stitching is laborious 😂. These are made from #ort aka old ratty threads I’ve been collecting for years. It’s basically the bits of thread you discard after finishing fiber work. Don’t be fooled by the pictures, these frames are big at 20” x 17” and will be for sale in October.
