I used my crochet cat bag to carry my exam supplies to a VERY important math exam the other day (affected my entire degree path 😅) hoping it would bring me good luck or at least some positivity. I got many compliments and someone even asked if I took commissions which really brightened my day!!

(Also if anyone cares, the exam went really well!)

Completed a set of custom TMNT pals!

I’ve made this set a couple times before but I always sent them out and forgot to take pictures of them. 🥲 I just get so excited to send out my little babies to their forever homes!

So here’s my take on the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

I love all my TMNT babies but this rendition definitely has the most variety between brothers, which I love!

It's 50/50 baby camel/silk which is easily one of the softest things I have ever touched. Feels like kitten fur. Tragically the dyer I purchased it from seems to have lost their source so if anyone knows where I can get more please do lmk.

Side note I am terrible at winding on to Phang style spindles neatly, it would appear. This is not the first time I've had a major "jumped right off the end" issue.

AI generated images have penetrated the fiber arts community!

And not the very annoying "granny knits a portal to hell" AI images, fucking sick of those too. (If I get one more family member deciding that it's my goal to hand knit an impossible and very expensive octopus blanket, so help me!)

But I have now seen MULTIPLE indie hand dyers selling merch with AI generated images without considering the impact it has on another art community. I don't care if you are editing it a little bit after it is generated or if you are "not making a profit" from these items, you. Are. Still. Part. Of. The. Problem. It is still theft, and it is still not compensating artists for their work used to train the program.

It just. Baffles me. That people whose art of choice is one of the slowest working mediums would not consider the time spent on the art pieces that feed ai

Made this play garden for a customer. There are seeds that you can "plant", veggies, watering can, garden bed , apron and a basket.

It's a fair bit of work but the result is stinking cute.

Felted Shiny Mareep

I feel a little bad being inactive for so long then posting something constantly but hey! I finally don't feel incredibly overwhelmed!

this Mareep was fun becuase with my last order of wool I was gifted some dyed pink loose locks and I figured hey! Mareep would be the perfect time to try and use this different type of fiber.

In the end it was a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy!

I knitted this lovely scarf as a gift for a family member and it turned out so beautiful. The multicolor yarn and cables are a perfect combo! I'm a little sad to let this one go.
