opinion: distros are meaningless, the only thing that matters is your de/wm/compositor/whatever what distro you choose means nothing and should be disregarded entirely
bad take 👎 you lack curiosity and interest in how the systems around you function. the complex interplay of interacting and constantly changing parts underpinning any Linux distribution makes them all a unique work of art that warrants engagement and curiosity. except ubuntu ofc.

okay so I really really liked i3, but I discovered that, as much as I'm ashamed to admit it, I love eye candy too much, and some of the decorations I like don't work on i3, or if they do they work on accident. so I ended up going back to hyprland, BUT ☝🏻 I have a much better understanding of how to use it like I would use i3 as far as doing everything with keybinds, so I kind of have the best of both worlds with hyprland.
I might have i3 on the side so I can keep playing around with it because I really did adore its simplicity. but I can also make hyprland work like i3 so who knows
I've been using hyprland for my arch linux for a few months now and I'm curious about i3
