I’m currently fixated on Thoma & Ayato bc of all of the anecdotes surrounding Thoma and his journey to Mondstad – which means i get to make a post where I just project really hard onto Ayato and Thoma :3

semi-mandatory disclaimer that this isn’t realistic at all and is definitely at least five HR violations and not healthy at all!! but it’s fictional and not ethically incorrect so. we will proceed now 🐾

I entirely see Ayato as a freak of a man and an extremely disturbing person beneath his professional and respectable front. he is super cunning & calculates things from every angle and tries to predict every outcome before even considering taking a step.

same logic would apply to the relationship between he and Thoma so I feel like he’d keep things very ambiguous for so long that Thoma is unsure if he’s even interested or if he’s just strange.

He’s the type to expect unwavering loyalty and obedience and he’s not afraid to force it. He wouldn’t when it comes to something or someone he loves— like Thoma. He probably gives the man far more leeway than he needs but he always denies it when it’s pointed out. He acts like he has no soft spots and some might think he doesn’t, but when u compare the way he treats Thoma to others it���s glaringly obvious.

He’d introduce his interests and desires one thing at a time and Thoma would go through with every single thing because he’s so devout to Ayato. Some things he’d hesitate on— like being public about his status of submission, wearing a full time collar, or going through ‘training sessions’ with Ayato— but in the end, he’ll always agree with little worries bc if Ayato is into something, he’s genuinely into something.

Ayato would probably hand feed him a couple times while making him kneel on the ground beneath him just to have that feeling of power.

He’d also be the kind to threaten Thoma with punishments (as if Thoma would ever be disobedient enough to warrant it), just to find a loophole or way to go without it because he doesn’t want to be the one inflicting pain upon his pet.

Thoma would be more than onboard with this like i feel as if that man would bruise his knees from just SLAMMING into the floor if Ayato even hints at wanting him down.

nyways. i wrote like all of this after midnight while extremely tired and barely able to think straight. so hopefully it makes sense. i had plans for it but they got lost to sleep deprivation & adhd.

🪺 ⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ Xiao Post ✮⋆˙

Xiao and his forever angsty “don’t get close to me, it’ll end up in regret. I’ll hurt you.” mentality. (ie half of his dialogue at this point). But he clearly carries some emotion towards the traveller. (I’m an Aether user & ship Xiaother so that’s what we’re going to refer to traveller as here !!)

But he’s probably never been treated as anything other than a tool. At least, not that he registers. Rex Lapis freed him and gave him the ability to self-govern, but Xiao never stopped viewing himself as a weapon and something to use.

And then he meets Aether and starts to care— something he’s never been allowed to do— and is probably so afraid of being seen as nothing more than a tool to the man. So he tries to push him away. And it never works (because that’s how the story goes, but also because he really doesn’t want to shove us away, deep down.)

& so when he finally starts to recognise those feelings as attraction, and even love, he’s so conflicted on how to act. He talks about how he doesn’t see humans often, so he wouldn’t be all cheesy and romance-y. I think he’d offer himself up like a spear for you to brandish. He’d try to give as much as he can and it’d come off in that weird “blood-hungry” way, but the point would eventually come across.

゛Headcanons ⸝⸝.ᐟ⋆

-> I fixated really heavily on that one line where he offers to kill for you, if you’re unable to bring yourself to do it. He really reminds me of a love-starved dog that’s only been taught to kill. His method of loving is similar too, he’d bring you the equivalent of a dead squirrel and expect you to receive it well, as a sign that he provides for you and can do what you wish.

He’s so eager to feel needed that he’s straight up desperate to help. If you asked him for anything, he’d try to find a way. He’d hate to be useless or ‘tamed’. Even if he managed to ‘settle down’, he’d always be skittish and in need of that violent outlet of his job.

He’s also known to deny any human traits he has— you’d have to coax him back into it, show him that the vulnerable parts of him are what makes him him.

He has a voice line about drowsiness where he denies being tired. But I think he’s afraid to show that he does need rest, that he just can’t sleep without terrors waking him up after an hour. He’s afraid for you to see the darkness he’s lived through and for you to know the things he’s had to do in order to survive it.

He’s so closed-off, but he’s more than open. He’s different from others and that’s why it’s harder to get a read on him. But if the right person came across him (such as Aether, who he can’t avoid due to the nature of their meeting), he’d be laid out like a magazine spread and everything he tries to hide would be out in the open and he couldn’t handle that.

I don’t really know how to end this or switch it into a silly headcanon list but I am so obsessed with him and he’s so silly despite acting so serious !! Thank u for reading <33

getting back into genshin and i’m not gonna lie the anecdotes are 100% the reason im back into writing. i miss the lighthearted conversations between characters where you got a feel for them and not their fight or flight attitude 😭 everybody’s at war now
