Lady.
A oneshot, in which Tomioka Giyuu promised of his devotion to a lady of the main house of wisteria.
Tumblr media
A gentle smile slowly etched upon her rouged lips in gratitude as she let two of her ladies in waiting to wrap her petite frame in ivory silk robes, adorned with sewed patterns of the petals of a plum blossom tree. A koshihimo was then tied around her waist before they started to flatten any visible wrinkle on the fabric.
With a family name such as hers, flowers have always had a special place - being used as a crest of their rank and business. Though, the plum blossom isn't that of their family crest.
Soon after, one of the ladies then reached for the obi - with the same ivory silk as its initial material and a golden decorative silk embroidered onto it - laying on the wooden stand, wrapping it around the woman's body while making sure to tie it on the back.
The exhausted feeling that haunts her are well hidden behind the calmness that lingers on her facial features, reflected on the mirror in front of her. Eyes - resembling a kaleidoscope of shades of green - are emphasized with the wisteria hair pin that is placed neatly on her twin braids that is up in two low buns as though her pair of eyes are that of the flower's leaves.
A small scar on the area above her left brow is still visible even under several layers of make up. A tiny flaw to some but as part of a family that provide support to both the imperial family. She is a lady that is keep away from battle at all cost, not once having to step foot at a patch of ground that is rained down by blood.
With one last look at her reflection, Tomoe turned to give the two older ladies - who already are beside the sliding door - a bow in gratitude. With a peach kinchaku in hand that contains her little to none personal belongings, she exited her room and leisurely head towards to the common room where another set of the family servants awaits her appearance.
"We wish you safe travel, Tomoe-sama." They all bowed down in her presence as she passes them by, keeping her head held high just as she was trained to.
"Ojo-sama, the cartage is ready." A man in his mid-thirties announced to her, offering her a hand as she made an effort to lift her feet on the mini set of stairs on the cartage's entrance. She took his hand and let him help her situate safely inside the vehicle, nodding at him in thanks before the man close the door. A frown, however, made its way to her facial features when her gaze fell upon the amount of baggage that lays in front of her on top of the other chair. Its contents technically are her belongings still, yet any of it never was used for her own well being.
Disgarding the heavy feeling that appeared to plague her mind with thoughts that she never wishes upon anyone else, she simply turned away from the sight of the stacked up luggages and averted her gaze to the window beside her. Only did she noticed then that the horses pulling on the heavy wagon have already started to move. The sun is high up in the sky, shining upon the land that is mostly littered with greenery. There aren't any establishment in sight. There only is the rows and rows of newly planted rice fields and the road in between them that they are traveling across in.
Her family knew better than most than to travel far - or at all - at night. There are creatures that hid amongst the dark whenever half the world sleeps. Humanity, who thought of themselves to be the ones on top of the food chain became the preys of those nocturnal beings. Not many slipped through the tiny gaps between the grasp of death to tell the dangers of encountering one and even if they did manage to survive, they are just way too traumatized beyond healing to live a normal life after such experience.
It wasn't the case for her ancestors though, for they were saved by members of an underground organization that swore to eradicate those vile beings from existence. Tomoe was told multiple times by her parents that without the help from that said vigilantes, she wouldn't even be in this pathetic and unjust world to exist. To epitomize, her family swore to serve the Demon Slayer Corps in every ways that they can.
It is clear as a glass bead how dedicated the Ayanokoji family is to serving the organization. With the many wisteria rest houses littered all over the country under the family who closely works with the imperial family, they try to cater the needs of the members of the Demon Slayer Corps when they are out on a mission.
Before she realized it, the cartage is already entering the Corps' headquarters and soon to be entering the residence of the master of the organization after switching drivers with a kakushi.
Taking a deep breathe as she made her way out of the cartage, Tomoe almost wanted to return home right then and there. It wasn't an option though. It never is. With wisteria as the crest that the Ayanokoji family holds, it is binding for each member to help the organization in every way that they can offer. Thus, the reason of the profession her parents chose for her.
"It is my pleasure to be in your presense, Oyakata-sama." Tomoe smiled as she gently bowed down on his presence, daring not to face him as she did so. She knew better than to do so. Bringing a tarnish to the family name is deemed worthy of a harsh punishment after all.
"We will soon to be going to meet the hashiras for a meeting. I will be introducing you to them then." The man dismisses her after they tackled on what she shall do for the next few days.
"If that is what you wish." She replied, rising on her feet when he gestured for her to. Not daring to question anything he says.
And soon enough after hearing the issues discussed about a pair of siblings being part of the corps even if one of them is a demon, it is already time for her to make her appearance. Walking in with the master's cue, a few comments were made.
"Ah, Tomoe-san." Muichiro spoke, managing to focus his gaze on her gaze before sighing.
"I'm glad that you still remember the person who nursed you back to health." The master have spoken, continuing the introduction.
"Ayanokoji Tomoe-san studied medicine for years to someday help the Demon Slayer Corps as part of the family who are most likely known to you instead as the ones who manage the wisteria resting houses. I believe that some of you have already met her."
"She doesn't really talk." Shinobu, who met her through staying in the main wisteria estate, spoke.
"She's a soft spoken maiden." Gyomei said, recalling how he first saw her conversing with a few slayers who stayed in the same wisteria house.
Right then and there, Giyuu couldn't hide away the soft smile that appeared to adorn his usually stoic face. Only he knew that she doesn't shut up.
Tomoe averted her eyes from the master and smoothly glance at the water hashira's way, catching his focused gaze on her.
It doesn't take long for the meeting to be ajorned and so, Tomoe slowly made her way out to go to the mansion that her family owns within the headquarters - in which she will stay and treat the hashiras if they ever get injured in battle. A few members of the demon slayer corp, who are not out on a mission for the night, quietly whispers with each other with their eyes locked on her form as she passes by. She couldn't bring herself to place the blame on them though as it definitely wasn't usual for them to see someone be out on the headquarters with a full blown kimono.
Though the presence that seemed to follow her from the moment she made her way out is still present, she couldn't bring herself to worry. The presence itself is serene like a lake in a summer night.
Walking through a road inside the very heart of the headquarters where most of the highest ranked members of the corps reside made her feel at ease, knowing that despite the bright moon that shines upon it is that no vile creatures awaits to cruelly take her life. The very origin of those demons kept her awake at night in days of her childhood when it was repeatedly told to him as a bedtime story. A reminder to uphold to the promise to commit oneself to support the saviors that dedicates their lives for the safety of humanity.
"Tomioka-sama, my family's estate is in view now. You can be on your way back to yours now." She spoke in the same gentle tone that she is instructed to use, halting her steps yet not bothering to turn around to face him as she can hear his steps approaching her from behind.
"You never called me that before." The water hashira uttered out before continuing to walk, matching her timid steps caused by the restricted fabric of her clothing. The woman merely smiled, keeping her gaze in front to avoid his deep blue eyes.
Giyuu lowered his gaze to the ground as the silence persists, yet it wasn't as awkward as he personally thought it would be. Beside him is the same woman who mend him and his friends back to health in their mentor's house way back then when she was asked to travel to different mentors to make sure of their health. The same woman who he regularly visit in the main wisteria house as she receives lessons on medicine.
"Since I officially joined the corps now as a healer, I am under you and any other demon slayers in terms of ranks. It is only respectful to call you with a honorific that is worthy position." She stated, reffering to his earlier statement just as they now stood in front of the Wisteria Estate.
In his eyes, she completely look fine beside the extravagant estate. Both look as though they came from the same high status. With the luxurious fabric that clad her frame to the fine accessories adorning her hair, it really didn't scream the bubbly kendo martial artist back in his mentor's care. Though the same spirit that her eyes lingers with never faded despite the layers of make up that receives much more attention.
She have already made it clear way back that in a family like hers, women are only ever expected to be married off to a man of high status to ensure the connections. Heck, she is even considered to be favored enough to study medicine.
"Then I order you to call me as you used to." He muttered under his breathe, just loud enough for only her to hear. With lips slightly agape at what he stated, she spoke with a bow.
"As you wish, Giyuu-kun."
And with that, she invited him inside. Although the swordsman anticipated the warmth that her abode, he soon found himself sitting on the wooden hallway out in the garden as he waited for Tomoe to remove all the expensive fashion accessories that her ladies in waiting dressed her in.
It was no longer than twenty minutes to get all of it off herself and get changed into a much comfortable clothing. Slowly, she approached him with lingering admiration on her eyes before she sat beside him with quite a distance between them. Her eyes then found themselves on the ground, refusing to look at him straight to the face. Though with his next words, her gem like eyes could not do anything but stare at him.
"The moon... is beautiful tonight, isn't it?" Giyuu hesitantly uttered out, looking upwards to the celestial body up in the heavens above - not sure if he could look at her in the eye after what he just said. Tomoe hummed in reply, not bothering to look up as well as she focus her eyes on his face. It still bear the same stoic expression but taking a closer look, a slightly reddish hue can be seen spreading on his cheeks.
"It truly is." She slightly frowned when their surroundings dimmed, a cloud blocking out the light that the moon emits. Her body tensed as a thought as dark as the night sky appeared inside her head, taking over it as though the cloud that blocks away any light.
The water hashira felt the atmosphere shifts, the night getting colder and young lady besides him getting more quiet.
"Will you promise to return to me safely?" She asked as she turned to face him, tears slowly falling from her eyes as though a continuous stream.
"I promise." He muttered, taking her hand in his before bringing it to his lips.
"I will always be back for you." With his words, the moonlight shines upon them once again. The darkness that once surrounds them was soon lifted and so was the thoughts of ever losing one another.

Coffee.
A oneshot, in which Gojou Satoru is fascinated with a "normal" woman who works for an infamous cafe.
Tumblr media
It is a rather slow day for a certain cafe in the middle of the city, despite the buzzing crowd of people of different origins just outside the busy streets of Tokyo. Sure, it have some regulars visited earlier the day for their usual cup of either bitterness or sweetness but as noon approaches, the lesser people came through the door. It doesn't help that the cafe isn't actually as well known as other competitors around the same area. Though the cold-eyed owner deserves some credit as well for scaring off potential customers with her uneasy smile.
In normal weekdays, it is rarely surprising. There are several students from nearby schools usually studying together with friends in their uniforms, couples who chose the cafe as their date spot and burnout workers spending the rest of their lunch break with a cup with several shots of espresso before having to go back to work. On the other hand, weekends are a blessing. A lot of different kinds of people stumble upon the small business by the corner of the street, whether it be the citizens of Tokyo who are out for leisure and tourists. It's those days that the business is blooming.
The interior of the small establishment resembles that of the aesthetic of minimalism. Shades of white and beige are mostly the color that adorns the cafe. The birch wooden foot of the glass tables and the beige cushioned chairs are stationed neatly through the off-white marble tiles on the floor. The aroma that flooded the establishment of freshly brewed coffee are rich and unmistakable.
A ravenette woman sighs as she watches from one of the tables her only two part-time workers play around with a deck of uno cards behind the counter. It's not like she could have the two around working as there isn't even a single customer inside for them to serve nor are there any chores to be taken care of. It's also beyond their working hours as the two childish college students are only supposed to be present in the morning but they reasoned that their afternoon classes were cancelled. It's not like there are any customers anyway, so she just let them be.
"Kanroji-san, who do you like more? Me or him?" Sana, one of the workers asked as she slumped her upper body onto the counter. Kanroji Fusae could only shook her head in defeat when she saw a plus four card on top of the pile between the two and a smirking Haru beside the girl.
"If I like any of you two more than the other, that person would have been receiving a bonus every pay day."
Fusae sighed once as she took one last glance at the door one last time before standing up, finally succumbing to her bittersweet craving. She made her way behind the counter, approaching the mini coffee station on the side - smiling at the two to let them know that she's fine on her own. Not long after scanning the products inside the fridge, the ravenette reached for the carton box of milk and heavy cream along with approximately one cup of ice.
The two part-time workers stared at her in wonder noticing the growing number of the products getting placed on the mini station. They did learned working in a cafe from Fusae and are still learning. The woman then get the espresso machine going before taking a glass from one of the cabinets, pouring the needed amount of heavy cream with a tablespoon of vanilla.
"Haru-san, the frother please." Fusae gestured to the cabinet near the spot where the male is leaning on, her gaze locked on the espresso machine as it satisfyingly let out the strong coffee into a small clear glass. Her senses are being taken over by the pleasant aroma of the freshly brewed coffee. Her taste buds ached for some of the bitter, yet invitingly warm aroma that soon flooded the entire establishment.
The student moved a bit, opening the drawer by his waist to get the said tool to pass off to the ravenette - to which she smiled in gratitude for. Fusae gave the glass with heavy cream with the vanilla syrup a slight glare before starting to whisk, making sure to move the handheld milk frother up and down in order to get air into the cream.
The student couple exchanged a terrified look as they watch their employer brutally whisk at the cream as though there isn't tomorrow to come until she get stiffer peaks in a minute or so. It was like watching the devil himself make a cup of coffee as the pits of hell surrounds him. At least, that's how Sana and Haru envision the scene inside their heads.
Letting out a sigh as she stretches her arm out, Fusae set aside the glass before taking yet another empty glass from the cabinet. The forest green eyed woman began to hum to herself as she pour chocolate syrup and espresso into the glass, beginning to stir it together right after - not even noticing how Haru creeped closer to take the used glasses to wash it immediately. Reaching for the milk carton, she poured just enough before adding the ice onto it. She smiled to herself as she carefully added the last ingrediate needed for the iced mocha, whipped cream.
Sana felt her face grew hotter when she averted her gaze away from her role model towards the glass door, bringing her hand near her mouth to hide how her jaw dropped at the sight. Feeling her knees buckling in nervousness at the sight of the approaching man dressed in what seemed to be casual clothing - that she definitely think is from a brand given the fact how good it suits him - with silver white hair with a hint of purple.
As soon as the bell on the door rang, Fusae let out a sigh before bringing down the iced mocha back down on the counter within the mini station. The bamboo straw that she put on the glass shifting a bit as some of the ice in the drink melted down.
Almost with a grudge, Fusae turned around to face the customer - giving Sana a warning look as she did with how she's slumped on the counter as she stares at the man. She judgingly eyed the man up and down, not fazed with him at all after he ruined her time with her precious drink - dare say even glaring at him in total hatred.
Gojou Satoru, who either totally oblivious to the set of different kind of looks he's getting with the ladies or is simply too egotistical, only lowered the pair of black-lensed shades he's wearing as though flaunting his clear blue eyes that could put even a kaleidoscope to shame. The female student almost die and got brought back to life by the man's eyes, her face felt like exproding with how hot its continuing to get and on the other hand, Fusae merely shown him a lukewarm smile - twitching everytime her ears pick up the sound of the ice in her drink melting down.
"'Kanroji'-san, can I have an iced vanilla latte and a slice of strawberry cake on the go?" Satoru grinned before he asked, making eye contact with her after glancing at her name tag. Clear blue eyes and forest green eyes met, one bear curiousness and clarity while the other remained cold as though only righteous judgement lingers within them. The corner of the sorcerer's lips tugged upwards at the way she let her eyes remained locked with his.
"Kanroji-san, can I do it?" Sana asked with a grin displayed on her face, wanting to do the silver haired man's cup instead. The ravenette merely nodded at her without breaking off the eye contact with the customer, not even flinching in surprise when the younger woman squeled in joy unlike how her boyfriend did when he appeared from the door behind the counter that leads to the storage room.
Sighing in exhaustion, Fusae broke off the contact and motioned Haru to the counter before walking off to the station to get her thankfully still cold beverage. Whispering to the both to inform them of having a bonus for taking this one out of her hand when she passes them by, headed for the same table she sat at before.
Satoru followed her with his gaze before turning to the male student in front of him to repeat his order. He once again pushed back the glasses up the bridge of his nose before wiping the smile off his face. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee that fills the cafe is rich and unmistakable. The deep aroma that only coffee could produce has always been and continues to be one of his favorites. It has, after all, been a reason why he could stay up to either finish a late night job or complete a report of a previous mission.
"Your eyes are pretty." He muttered under his breath as he passes by her seat with his purchase goods. If only he knew of the small smile that lit up her face as well as the mumbled thanks that left her lips as she faces the window outside, he would've stop to join her table.
Though, he doubt that this will be their last meeting as he planned in his head to continue to visit the small cafe. And so, he did exactly that. Satoru continued to do so for the same time everytime, going as far as to make sure to add the mere ten minutes to his daily schedule. Though their exchange only limited to the woman saying her thanks and to say that his order is ready, he still felt as though it is worth it when he began to receive some genuine smiles by his third visit.
As his visits remained fixated in the afternoon, he never saw his junior, Nanami Kento, go to the same cafe every morning.
"You're earlier than usual." Fusae announced as she stood from behind the counter, looking at the man with displease written all over her face. There has been only one reason why the blond go the cafe after all.
"You should go back." Kento stated with a straight face, looking at her stoically as though he haven't been going to the cafe early in the morning to ask her each time.
"If I actually wanted to, I wouldn't be here serving coffee and baked goods." She retorted, quickly followed by a scoff out of annoyance at her batchmate from another school's stubborness. Though before Kento could utter out a response, the bell on the door rang. The two former friends turned to look at the college students couple who works at the cafe. A smile is etched on the ravenette's face as though relieved that the two arrived, finding it a reason not to talk to the blond anymore but it quickly melted down as she saw a small flying insect like creature following after Haru. She did know that the male possess a small amount of curse energy, though not enough for him to see nor attract even weak curses.
Getting nervous for the male's safety, Fusae turned to Kento as if to plea for him to save the student but the blond merely stepped back before motioning for her to do something.
"You know what to do." Kento stated, talking to the woman who turned her gaze down to the floor. He could see the growing energy forming in her hand, manifesting for her cards.
"Haru, Sana. Close your eyes." She sternly said as three cards appeared in her hand, forcing the two to abruptly follow her command upon hearing her tone. Picking the last card of The High Priestess between her index and middle finger, she took catious steps towards the fly head curse as the other two cards disappears.
"Shadow Cards Technique." She uttered out under her breath as a lady wearing a blue robe with a cross on her chest holding the Torah appeared before her. Fusae's green eyes stared blankly at the small curse as it began to create noises that is comparable to that of a gutteral screams of terror as her technique bring out the worse images that the curse have seen and playing it in its head repeatedly like a broken tape.
Kento only watched as the curse disperse into nothing along with the spirit that Fusae brought forth as though disappointed. She is still on the same level as the day she left the Jujutsu Tech Kyoto branch for the safety of her parents as there is still only three cards, maybe even weaker as he doesn't remember her being too hesitant to exorcise a weak curse.
Letting out a sigh, Fusae deactivated her innate technique. Fatique immediately appeared on her facial features, nearly collapsing as this is the first time in years that she had to activate it thanks to the blond who faces her with a look that leaves her to reconsider.
"You can open your eyes now."
"Are you two fine on your own here?"
"Don't worry. We don't have any classes for today." Haru grinned, showing the ravenette a peace sign as he slumped his arm around his girlfriend's shoulders. Sana pouted before pushing off his arm, jumping onto his back instead as she pointed at the counter after sending her role model a reassuring smile. The ex-sorcerer chuckled at the two, immediately feeling better before turning to Kento.
"Lead the way." Fusae stated, not taking anything in her hand from the cafe as they made it outside.
It doesn't take them too long to arrive at the school grounds on the mountain, none of them speaking as they walk towards the viewing room where the principals and mentors from both the Tokyo and Kyoto branch are waiting for the sister school event.
"She's here." Nanami Kento announched as he twisted the knob and pushing the door open.
"Kanroji-san from the cafe!" Satoru excalimed as he rose from his seat, eyes widening behind the fabric that cloaks it from the public eye.
"Gojou Satoru-san." She merely addressed, not giving the same enthusiasm as the man.
"You're famous in this small world of jujutsu. Don't flatter yourself with the thought of me possibly stalking you." Fusae smiled at him rather genuinely, not really giving much thought to the rest of her seniors.
"It's been a while, Fusae." Utahime smiled, receiving a formal bow from her junior back at Kyoto.
"I'm back." She deeply bowed, somehow knowing that she won't be regretting this decision.

A oneshot, in which Fushiguro Megumi was given no choice by his beloved teacher but to awkwardly interact with his crush who came all the way from Kyoto.
Tumblr media
It was a normal morning at Jujutsu Tech. That is if Gojou Satoru bringing along a first year student from the school's Kyoto branch back to the school is normal. His reason? He apparently saw how a certain raven haired student of his looked at her during the sister school event that they did prior and as the boy's mentor, the man somewhat felt the responsibility to play the matchmaker role in his student's love life.
The first year's class started out with a normal homeroom discussion - which technically is a thing as Jujutsu Tech is still a learning institute, in which the strawberry blonde haired girl was forced to take. It was rather an understatement that the young lady wanted to bury the silver haired teacher down to the very pit of hell as her wrath could be felt burning holes behind him. How a teenage girl like her held too much bloodlust in such a small body is beyond him. Maybe the man did underestimate the warning that Utahime threw his way when he came to Kyoto with no apparent reason but to trespass and kidnap Matsui Minari, a Jujutsu Tech student from its Kyoto branch who much like Zen'nin Maki couldn't use curse energy.
The tension, however, then soon disperse when Nobara turned to the gentle faced girl to complain about a favorite clothing brand of hers closing for good.
"Since when were they closed?" A meek question came from the kidnapped student, a yelp of surprise leaving her lips when Nobara leaned towards her face in excitement - a chilling glint appearing in her eyes as she held the girl's hands with her own.
"You know them?" Nobara asked with enthusiasm clear in both her tone and movements, seemingly forgetting that they are in a middle of a discussion and that their teacher is at the front as she skipped towards Minari's seat beside Megumi with an evident bounce in each of her step. Not used to such energy from anyone besides her light blue haired friend, she could only respond with a nod.
"Aren't they a major brand in Japan? Even I knew them." Megumi spoke from beside Minari, his gaze fixated at their dear mentor as though to replace the strawberry blonde's glare. Both of the ladies appeared to be irked with the guy's intervention, not appreciating the way he spoke of their trusted brand - the seemingly only one that is being run by a former student of Jujutsu Tech. Therefore, mixing some clothing in their lines that is combat friendly for a sorcerer.
"Shut it, I'm not talking to you!" Nobara, who seemed to be the most effected by Megumi's words, animatedly whacking her straightened hand down to karate-chop the raven haired sorcerer's head. The heavy blow caused him to hit his chin on his desk, causing an alarming sound to be heard. Minari flinched in her seat and spending the next second to glance up on her left to check on her seatmate's condition - an action that her kidnapper couldn't help but notice. With the way his face remained deadpanned at what occured, she couldn't help but assume that this kind of thing might actually be normal at the Tokyo branch.
"Got something to say?" Nobara asked as she turned to face Yuuji, who repeatedly shook his head in fear of the brunette's wrath.
"No, ma'am!" The one known as the curse king's vessel exclaimed in fear of what the brunette could do to him, definitely acting way different from what the Kyoto branch's principal have said he would. Minari could only watch in silence as the trio playfully got on each other's nerves, beginning to pull on each other's hair as they push the other's heads away from their's.
"Now, now. Settle down. You'll have Matsui-san all to yourselves throughout the whole day, so please direct your attention here first." Gojou Satoru clapped his hands to earn his student's attention back, not that he truly needed to as they already stopped by the time that they heard the painfully playful tone that he used to call them out. It doesn't felt long before the four students found themselves in front of the grounds to spend their lunch break.
The two girls clicked way better than any of them could ever expect. It was all for the name of fashion. Minari showed the brunette the stash of her hair accessories after class earlier, promjsing to style her hair after they eat. The two mostly talked about cloth stores and some of the current fashion trends but Minari often had to fish her phone out of her pocket, communicating with her classmates about how the strongest sorcerer kidnapped her in broad daylight, not to mention inside the school premises. As she did so, Nobara did notice of the subtle glimpse of her raven haired friend sends to non-curse energy user's way as she steadily types on her phone before returning to the conversation with her.
"Any request?" Minari asked as she stood behind a sitting Nobara as the trio talked among themselves on the same spot where they ate their lunch together. Sensing someone looking at her, she averted her gaze away from the girl in front of her towards the boy next to Itadori Yuuji's left who is sitting next to the brunette. Upon making eye contact with the student that her fellow female first year students in Kyoto were gossiping about just the day before, Fushiguro Megumi - she somehow understood now why they were so caught up with his looks.
Despite participating in the sister school event just as any other student from first to third year, she haven't really directly bump into the raven haired sorcerer during the team battle. As for the second day of the event, she merely stood by the side of the scoring board to watch as she received a broken arm the day prior by a guy who was way idiotic to think that he's popular just 'cause he met a single girl that is obviously not interested in him.
"Matsui-san?" Nobara called out, causing the girl to realize that she have been staring and that she was caught by the others. Minari averted her gaze towards her front to see a hairstyle flashed on the girl's phone screen. She replied a hum as she proceed to comb through the brunette's well cared hair, acting as though she wasn't just caught staring at Megumi's face.
"Can I ask what cursed weapon do you use?" Yuuji hesitantly asked, scanning the girl's physique as well as for any pockets on her uniform to look for it but finding nothing in plain sight.
"You sort of already did, idiot." Megumi stated, wanting to go back to training or going to missions already. Not that he doesn't the new girl but he knew that her being in Tokyo is only his mentor's doing as his 'matchmaker'.
"It's this." She replied as she pulled the kanzaki that held her long strawberry blonde hair in a bun, handing it off to Yuuji as she continue on with braiding pieces of Nobara's hair. It's not like it's going to be easy to break anyway as it is a special grade.
"I could only see those curses but I never possessed curse energy in my life. Utahime-sensei got that for me instead. Hold it by the part where the dangling plum blossom charms are connected and you've got yourself a stabby. Though I wouldn't recommend using it on a human as there is poison stored in there." She explained, only then realizing how much she had spoken when she felt the gaze of the trio fixated on her. And so, she simply busy herself with styling the brunette's hair, taking a kanzaki adorned with pearls from the stash that she brought along to secure the braids that surrounds her hair like a crown.
"And done~" She announced after snapping a picture of Nobara's hair, showing it to her after. With the silence that follows, Minari assumed the worse with the two boys just waiting on the side for their friend to snap out of it and jump on the other girl.
"Could you please stay forever?!" Nobara yelled as she leaned in to Minari's face, once again grasping her hands with her own in gratitude before moving to the side to admire her hair. Megumi patiently waits for the strawberry blonde haired girl to reply to his classmate but instead of responding back, she merely chuckled at the sight of an overly hyper Nobara who somehow dragged Yuuji to be her photographer - who more or less trying his best to change angles in just a few seconds for the girl - as she does poses.
Deciding that it's finally time to confront the teacher who dragged her all the way from Kyoto to Tokyo, she began to tie her strawberry blonde hair back into a bun. She crouched on the spot that Yuuji once sat at, reaching for her kanzaki.
"Do you... need help putting it on?" Megumi stiffly offered, looking away as he put his palm out for her to put the hair ornament. Once his words got processed in her mind, she couldn't help but feel her face getting warm. Hesitantly she put it in his palm, catching his navy blue eyes for a moment as she turned around.
With shaking hands, he carefully secured the bun that she made with the ornament. He couldn't help but notice that her hair color isn't only that of one color as each strands vary from reddish to blonde yet still making out the strawberry blonde shade that truly suits her. Once done, he reached his hand for her own that held her hair and slowly guided her hand down.
Suddenly, Megumi's hand gently slipped into hers before he began to drag her along. Minari let out a tiny whine in protest and tried to pull her hand away, but the boy merely gripped it tighter. The strawberry blonde haired girl couldn't help but feel embarassed as some lingering students left on the hallway turned their attention to the two of them. It isn't everyday that they will see the aloof first year with the Kyoto branch first year student together, let alone seeing them holding hands.
Once in front of the first year's homeroom, he opened the door and subtly poked his head in to check if there's a certain nosy mentor inside. Confirming that they are indeed the only people to be in the room, he let out a small smile away from Minari's vision, pulling her inside with him. He urged her to sit on his seat near the corner of their classroom, still holding on to her hand.
She looked at him confused, taking in the uneasy expression displayed on his face. Noticing her gaze on him, he immediately averted his eyes from the younger girl before putting his hand on rest on his nape. Taking a deep breath, he properly faced her once he mustered all of his confidence.
"Could you do my hair too?" Megumi inquired, immediately turning his reddening face away from the girl's view. Minari's confusion increased and it was clearly visible from her face, causing Megumi to shy away from her once again.
"You brought me here... for that?" She asked, still processing the boy's request in her head.
"Not that I don't want to but why?" Seeing how the raven haired sorcerer's eyes widen, she began to ramble over her words of excuses. Panicking that she may have crossed the line with her choice of words, she raised the hand Megumi is holding along with her other hand in a pathetic attempt to hide her face. Flinching in panic when her lips lightly brush against Megumi's hand, she suddenly stood up - not noticing the slight redness spreading through the boy's face.
Still looking away from him, she let herself take deep breathes before she move towards the back of the chair Megumi is sitting on. She mustered her confidence to send him a smile, pulling her hand away from his hold. With shyness evident in her actions, she began to play with his soft spiky hair.
"I mean, okay. I will." She muttered out as she reached for her stash of hair accessories, once again not seeing the small smile that appeared on the boy's face. She took out her comb and begin to brush through his soft hair, sorting all the slight tangles and frizz.
"Do you have a particular look you want me to do?" Minari asked, forgetting her shyness as she focuses on the task at hand.
"Please do what you wish to. I'll be okay with anything you do." He calmly replied, closing his lids as the girl continue to run her fingers and the comb through his hair. Minari opened her mouth to protest but stopped midway when she caught sight of the soft expression lingering on his face. Deciding to not bother the boy too much, she scanned his hair for a moment before starting to get to work. Her idea might be more of a personal curious one at that but she decided to go with it and started to straighten his hair down.
She carefully parted his hair in the middle with the comb and then reached for a navy blue bandana that matches his eyes quite well from her stash. Going around the seat to face him, she then crouched on her knees and then reach her left hand to brush some stray strands to the side before putting the bandana on his forehead - adjusting it a bit before admiring his look. Seeing that he still have his lids closed, she took the opportunity and leaned forward to examine his face thoroughly. Not long after does her gaze fell on the pair of his long lashes. It suits his fair and flawless face, that she couldn't help but admit. It is true after all and she doesn't have a definite reason as to why she won't say her opinion of him when asked. She remained staring for a few more seconds but it just happens that Megumi began to open his deep navy blue eyes then.
"Is something matter?" He softly asked, almost as a whisper. She already is close enough anyway.
The girl merely shooked her head side to side before delivering her thought without much thinking. It is not like she needed to as it just adds more to the sincerity her tone carries.
"Just admiring the view." Minari whispered just as low as he did. Her voice sounds soft and soothing like the expression that often lingers on her face. It is something that is not common for a sorceress, having to tough up to match with the pace the others are going. Though, being strong and maintaining one's looks are not something that needs to discard the other for it to florish. That even Megumi could understand as he saw Nobora doing both as it makes her happy.
It wasn't about Minari though as the indirect compliment is directed at Megumi himself. Surely, this isn't the first time that someone have praised the charm that he possesses as a young man but it is his first time that anyone he find interesting do it.
"Why look at me when you can gaze at something more lovely when you face a mirror?" He softly muttered under his breathe, something that he didn't mean for the strawberry blonde haired girl to hear yet did. Maybe he shouldn't have said it as seconds after those words escaped his lips, he received a jab right at the same face that she claimed to be quite the view.
Still in the stance that she took before landing her punch, color drained from her face and a somewhat shocked yet flustered expression stupidly gracing her face. Her green eyes widened in surprise at what she have done, seeing him jerk up to caress his nose in pain as drips of a familiar red liquid fell from it. Before he could even say anything, Minari immediately kneel on the floor, bowing down at him for his forgiveness.
"Please forgive me! I didn't mean that!"
All the shyness from earlier was thrown out of the window, awkwardness and embarassment is the only thing left between them.
Megumi reached down and pulled her up from the floor, wiping the blood with the cuffs of her uniform to which she mentally cringed at. This isn't at all anything she thought could happen when a white haired man literally carry her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She most propably prefer getting kidnapped for ransom than any of this awkward crap.
"What's happening with you?" He asked her, squishing her cheeks with his hand. Now, the aloof first year her friends told her about is messed up in the head. Did the effects of Nobara's hit on his head earlier got triggered when she accidentally jabbed at his nose?
Megumi chuckled at the sight of the girl's puckered lips, alternating his stare from her forest green eyes to her lips as he slowly leaned in.
"Megumi-chan~" The culprit of all of today's crazy happenings bursts through the door with a bento in hand, pausing his steps when he took in the sight in front of him. His student who's sitting in the floor had the girl he kidnapped for him on her knees on the floor for him.
"My~ You two are bolder than I thought you were." Satoru decided to make fun of the two, fetching Yuuji and Nobara in a split second for them to see the two as well before they could even flinch away from each other. Megumi covered his face with her hand in embarassment while Minari stumbled down to the floor when she misstep in attempt to save her remaining dignity for the day. The pair of students behind their mentor bursts out laughing when the two doesn't even try to deny anything as though lost in their own self pity.
And there began the string of speeches in embarassment that the strawberry blonde girl is known for in Kyoto.
"Please take me home now. I can only handle much embarassment in one day..."
"My upperclassmen's going to kill me later with their teasing for sure."
"Utahime-sensei will have your head for torturing her student, Gojou-sensei."
"If I die out of embarassment, I'm haunting all of you."
"Maybe I should quit being a sorcerer and just leave for the countysides."
"Cheer up, Matsui-chan. At least, I am the only one who saw that or you two will be scolded for doing inappropriate things at school-" The man got interrupted when the once shy girl got fed up with his teasing and began to throw anything on sight at him despite knowing that his Infinity is currently in use. The three enjoyed the frustrated expression written all over the girl's once soft features, almost in a verge of crying as they laugh when they saw how constipated Megumi looks beside Minari.
"Matsui Minari! Where did that disrespectful man took you to?!" Utahime exclaimed from the hallways, ignoring the looks that she is receiving as she know of her student's tendency to make a fool out of herself despite her skills as a sorcerer. Satoru grinned as he peek his head outside the door and wave at his senior in anticipation of her reaction.
The woman clad in yukata marched towards him, almost whacking him in the face when she saw the girl she was looking for in the floor. Seeing that her teacher is here now, she immediately run towards her.
"Utahime-sensei... Please kill him." Minari sobbed as she cling to the older woman's body, wanting to go home as soon as possible after what happened.
"Care to explain?" The older sorceress questioned as she sent a glare towards all the people in the room, having the urge to murder them all when they only ended up laughing way harder than before except Megumi who stood there with his face red from both the embarassment and the jab the strawberry blonde sent his way.
Not soon after Utahime listened to both Satoru and Megumi's perspective of what had happened, she just decided to sent a death glare in her junior's way before calming the sobbing girl down so that they can catch the train headed back to Kyoto. Minari got over her initial awkwardness with the students in Kyoto just before sister school event, so Utahime didn't worry about the strawberry blonde as much. Not that she knew that her junior would steal the girl away in broad daylight and bring her to a whole new environment.
The Tokyo branch teacher made his way towards his fellow sorcerer, wanting to ask of the teenager's clinging form on Utahime's fore arm. The girl had her face buried in the woman's yukata, making it hard to see how she is.
"Don't worry. It's just that she's too socially awkward for her own good. I'm surprised she even made it this far before breaking." The sorceress clad in yukata merely explained, taking the girl off her arm to free herself from her tight grasp.
"Can't you just stay here, Matsui-chan? The strongest sorcerer can be your teacher."
"No thanks." Minari mumbled under breathe, glaring daggers once again towards the man - almost having the urge to stab her kanzaki into his body but her mentor already took it out of her hair, letting her hair sway along with the soft breeze that came from the opened windows.
"Well, that settles it. Let's go."
"Can we accompany them to the station at least?"
"Can we? I do feel bad for laughing too much."
"What do you think, Fushiguro?"
"But hey, are you really going in for a kiss there?"
"Matsui-san, here."
"It's okay. Please keep it."
"This day is a mess..." Megumi muttered under his breathe as he recalled everything that happened in the comfort of his own dorm, laying down on his bed's soft covers. How the day started with their teacher stealing a student from Kyoto and then resulted into the two of them being mistaken to be engaging in a sexual activity in school grounds will forever be a mystery for him.
Though he couldn't fight off the microscopic smile that made its way to his features when her gaze fell upon a piece of ripped paper on top of her desk. In there is her number that she gave to him - saying that she wanted to make it up to him for the jab and the misunderstanding - just before she and Utahime boarded the train back to Kyoto.
