Griffin Guardians - Essential Fixes & Optimization
This was a long time coming, but finally Griffin Guardians has been updated with various fixes and optimization, enjoy!
This set now requires the Timeout controller
Changelog
The Griffin Egg was causing some lag, this should no longer be an issue
Griffins are now able to take advantage of the new Water Sources added by Fetch Water 4.0
Theft chances are now BCON-tuneable. Note that this update also adds a hard requirement for the Timeout Controller
Griffin Pregnancy is now tuneable
Updated inventory tools and accessories to the newest versions
Texture optimizations
The Griffin PSD has been put in its own rar, it was bulking up the download a bit too much.
Update instructions: make sure you have the timeout controller and token in your game! (Version: sept. 2022 or newer) Replace ALL old files.

Barnyard Bash - Tools & Hogs Update
Pigs have been having issues for a while now and would constantly die despite food and water being present on the lot. Naturally, this was a relatively simple issue that took us months to find and fix. There's always something... In any case, please re-download the set.
Changelog
Pigs will no longer randomly die of starvation despite food being present
Fixed pig pregnancy issues
The Mud Wallow has been repositoried to the BB Niche
The inventory tools included have been updated to the newest, most optimized versions
UPDATE: forgot to mention initially, but Sheep now have a "Force Shear" option
Update instructions: In case of doubt, REPLACE ALL FILES. Files affected: mud wallow, all pigs, all accessories and inventory tools.

Accessories & Tools - Optimization update March 11 2024
Hello everyone, a small update today. A number of inventory tools and accessories have been optimized. At the moment of writing, the updated accessories have not been added to the sets they belong to, but as we continue updating, we will include these new versions, of course.
Changelog:
Texture optimization for a large number of files, bringing the total file size for tools + accessories down by about 10 MB
The small harvest basket has been repositoried to the regular harvest basket.
Fixed incorrect descriptions for a number of inventory tools
BONUS: The butter churn pole has been localized in Dutch, Portuguese (EU & BR), French, Spanish, Russian, Polish and Finnish. Call it a preview for the upcoming dairy consolidation.

Loads o' Laundry - Fixes and localization March 10 2024
Changelog:
Added support for Brazilian Portuguese - Obrigada @itsyuna & @scararmst!
Servos should now be able to automatically pick up and store laundry in hampers when they go on a cleaning binge. Thanks to @zeussims for reporting!
Update instructions: For Brazilian Portuguese games: remove ALL old files. For all other languages: replace the hampers as well as the wet and dirty laundry piles. In case of doubt: replace everything.

Hi, I hope all is well! I love your laundry mod, and I've seen some laundry objects I'd like to convert from TS4 in order to have a variety of detergents in my game to stock in my stores. Would it be okay if I create other variations of the bottle and box of detergent ONLY for my personal use? I read your policy, but I still wanted to ask for your permission. If the answer is yes, how can I get the object to function the same as your laundry bottle and box? If it's no, I understand. Thank you!
Creating new detergents that function as part of the laundry system is tricky and requires modifying and adding quite a few resources across quite a lot of objects. It's a very time-consuming process and not exactly something we would recommend someone unfamiliar with the code to do. All the parts are connected and it's easy enough to break something if you're not sure what you're doing. Heck, even when you do know what you're doing, you can still break it (as last update showed did happen). Something that may work better for you, is making mesh/texture defaults of any detergents you do not use. Simple enough: replace the mesh/texture bits, fix integrity, save and re-compressorize.
As a side-note: Making edits for personal use is totally okay in all cases. Just be aware that by modifying the files, you are voiding our warranty (BCON tuning does not count).

Hi!
Not sure if it is a bug or feature but when I harvest a wild berry bush from a community lot, it does not go in the sim's inventory. Baskets and snacks work.
Am I missing something?
Are you playing on a owned community lot, if so it may be being given to the lot owners inventory rather than the sims doing the harvesting.

Hello! I am using the laundry mod in a house of supernatural creatures, where the maid is Bonehilda, that is, a disguised servo. My question is: according to the mod's documentation, the service npcs, maid, butler, etc... will collect the piles of dirty clothes autonomously, but the servo completely ignores them. Is this like that or is something wrong with my game?
Servo's do not currently automatically pick up or deposit laundry. It will be added in an update. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Hi, I hope this question isn't a time waste, I've read both the FAQ and the manual but I seem to be having trouble finding the info. I downloaded Laundry 2.0 and I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the modern version of the fresh outfit... I remember in Laundry 1.0 there was a similar file labeled modern and you had to delete the other package to get the modern version to display... however 2.0 does not have this now it seems? Thank you :)
The modern DR was removed when the original fresh outfit was given a new mesh and texture that fits multiple time eras, thus reducing file counts.

I've triple checked that i have all of the required textures, but the shrimp bowl and the crates of fish (on the inside, whatever the fish are on inside the crate, not the crate itself) still have missing textures. is there any way that a required texture might have gotten left off the list or anything?
The texture for the shrimp bucket is living in the oyster bucket file. I'll go back and check to see if something got unlinked as I haven't had any other reports of this and it was working on my last round of testing.

Hello. I love your Restless Roots mod very much. I was wondering, if you could you do an evil ghost version of it. Have a sim fight it and gain money after its defeat. If the sim loses, it will "punish" them by setting the sim on fire, or curse him/her with a deadly disease. It would be the closest thing to Ghostbusting in Sims 2.
If you want to fight ghosts, the Spooky Spawner in the Samhain set allows sims to defeat reapers for ectoplasm. No cursing upon loss but it is in the process of being updated so who knows what outcomes there may be.

Hi I'm the duplicates anon and I found another two: SunMoon-Accessory_BrooderBoxFeedbag, conflicting with FeedbagKits, and TrapBait. I also have Accessory-Feedbag conflicting with PoultyCoopFeedbag. Are these different or all the same?
They are the same file with different names, you can pick one to keep. Another example of old sets needing updating name convention wise. If HCDU+ reports a GUID conflict and they are named in similar intention with just a set difference, this is often the case. Keep the most updated one.

Hello! I have a couple of questions regarding the sets. Why do some sets have objects with gray thumbnails that can't be placed in the game? Also, in several sets, there are completely identical objects for the inventory, like buckets, baskets, or tools. Are each of them tied to their specific set, or are they compatible across sets, allowing me to keep only one of each? In this same message, I would like to express my gratitude for the fantastic and detailed instructions you provided for each set. It must have been quite a task to write. Thank you for your dedication to the Sims2❤️
Greyed out catalog icons indicate an item is in the collection file, but was never intended to be "cheat bought" from the catalog. It's more prominent in older sets as in newer set (and because people kept complaining about having to do the work) we gave up and have just allowed access via collection file. Old sets have not been updated for that yet but you can do it by editing the file in SimPE.
As for identical objects, you only need one of each. In fact use the files from the quick start post because those are most up to do. They are included multiple times in the beginning so people didn't have to download multiple sets for 1 file but naming conventions have been changed. Again old stuff needs updating name wise.
And you're welcome. We try to cover all we can as we know they're complicated. Hopefully when there's time to update the old stuff to the new way it'll pair down on doubles and such all the more.

I'm not sure this qualifies as a bug, so I'm asking rather than sending a bug report. I've found that wild mushrooms don't respawn after being harvested. It's entirely possible I'm doing something wrong, but other than placing the non-poisonous mushrooms I can't figure out what else I should do.
Mushrooms spawn every 36-48 hours roughly. So you have to stay on whatever lot you're on for that amount of time for the next round to spawn. If you're on a community lot, things reset as community lots tend to do.

Hi, I'm having trouble w/ the basic instincts water pools/puddles that comes w/ fetch water for the barnyard bash, in the catalog & neighborhood view they're partially blue, on the lot they look fine- I do have all the req'd sets, their parts, plus parts/sets for the req'd sets indicated in the manuals, and the problem persists in a clean game. Assuming I'm still missing something, what specific resources do I need for the puddles' textures?
Do you have the original Bathing Instincts files? There is a set floating around out there that someone else had edited and released with the same names, so I don't know if you're using that set. I believe all the water textures come from one of the small puddles in the original set. I will have to double check and will make an update if necessary.

Changelog:
Fixed some issues with the Polish translation for the inventory tools
Children were erroring out when trying to use modern washers and dryers. This is no longer the case.
Washers (modern and manual) were not properly calculating crafting points for anything other than the Jar of Soap. This has been resolved. Note that any tuning you did, will have to be redone.

Hello! I would like to download all your medieval sets. I've noticed that many of them have received several updates along the way. Where can I most reliably find the most updated versions of the sets? Can be found in the "download links" section? Or should I look under the posts to find the latest and most updated versions? I just want to make sure I'm definitely downloading the latest versions of everything. Thanks in advance.
We only ever have one "live" version of files available to the public at a time. This is one of the reasons we don't use mirror links too. It's much easier to keep one link always up to date than several and risk having multiple versions of files out there.
Quickest place to go would be yes the Download Links page, but honestly any "active set" (for example, all individual livestock sets are considered retired while all of them bundled together under the barnyard bash grouping) should always be the latest version no matter where you are accessing it from.

So I was running a program to check for duplicates and it said these two are the same file: "SunMoon-FunctionalCandle_Aromatherapy_CandleScentEmitter-DoNotDelete. package" and "SunMoon-ZZ_CRITICAL_ScentEmitter. package". I also noticed they're both "Scent Emitters" so figured they might be, but because of how important they are, it wouldn't hurt to ask and make sure. Thank you! I love your mods!
They are indeed the same file, but with different names. You'll want to keep the later file as this will continue being it's name moving forward and is the most up to date.
