jean protected neil by not being there. had he been there and the ravens won then surely neil would’ve faced the fate riko did. but by not being there he saved both of them, and freed them from their contracts.

one day a photo of andrew staring at neil ends up on the foxhole courts wall. his face looking impassive and uncaring to most, but the cousins and neil can see it for what it is, adoration. andrew threatens to tear it down and burn it but it never quite ends up happening.

i can’t believe people still think that aaron is homophobic and cite him questioning neil in tkm as reason why. what aaron is doing to neil is essentially the same thing that andrew does to people when he takes them to eden’s. andrew wants to test people, see who they really are when their back is against the wall. aaron pushed neil to see how he would react. him punching aaron is what aaron wanted (ish. he probably would’ve settled for some verbal lashings)

kevin's childhood was always going to end tragically. the minute kayleigh got intertwined with the moriyamas she started the domino effect that eventually lead to her own death. the moriyama's take what they percieve as theirs and feel no remorse. they paired up kevin and riko, giving riko a sense of superiority, which lead to his own undoing. kevin going to the foxes intertwined neil into the story. riko's own actions to take revenge on neil is what lead to his death, without killing seth the foxes would never have come together in the way they did. kevin's neuroticism helped drive the foxes to win.

kevin is the queen on the board of chess and he wont be toppled.

i hope we see riko from kevin's perspective. their relationship was always 1000x more complicated than any of member of the perfect court. riko must have had some "kind" moments to kevin because of the very nature of their relationship as partners and riko's complicated relationship with tetsuji. as we see with neil and jean, partners are bonded in their own fucked up way, and we do not see that with kevin and riko. they were always something different. riko never went after wymack because he couldn't. the only issues we know about him is his intricate and endless daddy issues, and even then we do not see it deep. kevin will give riko more depth but he will NOT redeem him.

the night that night practice was cancelled must’ve been the best day of andrew’s life. not only was practice cancelled but the boy down the hall likes him. and wants to kiss him. he doesnt quite feel love, but when his mouth is on neil's he understands why people do.

hc when jean finally celebrates his bday (and is happy about it) the trojans take him to dinner. they start singing happy birthday and jean just walks out of the restaurant. (not in a nervous way but in a "i cant belive that they are that ridiculous" way) cat has to run after him and bring him back but only AFTER she made the table promise to not sing again.
