This makes me giggle because I can just imagine Cat and Laila giving him a mini lecture and praying he doesn't accidentally kill them. Was it unprompted, or did he, like, fuck up immediately?

I'm sorry I'm so emotional about the sand dollar that Cat gave to Jean. Don't look at me I'm gonna cry she was so excited to gift it to him

thinking about jean being a nail biter. he often bites them down to the quick & it hurts but he doesn’t let that bother him too much.

when he’s with the trojans, cat notices jean’s nails are a mess and casually brings up that she began painting her nails to help stop biting them when she was really anxious or stressed or upset.

so the next time cat is doing her nails in the living room and jean walks by, she offers to paint his. jean is very hesitant at first but jeremy is there too. of course jeremy goes “c’mon jean, i’m sure it’ll look really good!” & jean gives in after that. cat chooses a grayish blue because “it’ll match with your eyes” (later on, when jean glances in a mirror and quickly holds up a hand to see, jean agrees that it does).

and it does help jean!!! jean starts not biting his nails as much! and eventually he starts asking cat to paint his nails red & gold before their games 💕

The differences between the Foxes and the Trojans are so jarring to me because I was half expecting someone to get shoved into a wall or punched in the face by a teammate the whole time I was reading and it just never happened

Jean is so similar to neil in that they're both petty, dramatic bitches who care deeply about their teammates' safety

riko and the ravens quite literally took jean's name from him (Jean-Yves, Jonny, Paris)

Okay but I’m absolutely OBSESSED with Cat and Laila. They have a very sweet relationship with each other, they love and support Jeremy and help him with his family drama, Laila is an Andrew-Minyard-level goalie, they help Jean with his shit and teach him how to cook, they aren’t perfect and have their flaws but they care so so much and I think that’s great
