idk if you are still working on the vampire!spencer fic but i was rereading some of your thoughts and you wrote how hankel turns spencer into a vampire during his capture, does he also develop an addiction as well as being a vampire or is that out of your story? and if he does develop an addiction as well, does that ig interfere w him being a vampire? damages his heightened senses and rapid healing or something? you don't have to answer, i was just curious!! i hope you have a good day! :)

kind of! (for both your questions) i’m still working on it in the since that it’s been sitting in my google docs while i think about it but don’t write anything. i have 7,000ish words written and a full chapter by chapter outline but i haven’t touched it in a bit. in canon, when hankel gives spencer dilaudid, hankel does so to make spencer’s torture and ‘turning’ less painful and (in his mind) easier to get through. it definitely damages spencer’s health in many ways. i really want to get back to writing so i’m looking through all my wips and this one is certainly near the top of the list of things i want to finish!

One thing I've noticed about moreid that kinda breaks my heart is that Derek confessed (whether you want to see it as platonical or romantical is up to you) two times in the span of 7 episodes that he loves Reid. First it was the "I just..." scene in 11x11 and the second one is when Derek is leaving the team when he says the words out loud "I love you, kid". What breaks my heart is that Spencer didn't say it back in neither of these times, he just acknowledged it like "yeah I know".

Derek voiced his love in season 11 TWO times and on top of that he also named his first born son after him. Morgan loves Reid, he is vocal about it, he shows it, he named his kid after him. Now whether you think Morgans actions towards Reid are something romantic or simply just platonic is up to you.

(Now comes my headcanon and what broke my heart:)

Why didn't Reid say "I love you too"?

In 11x18 you can blame that on the fact that Derek was just leaving and Reid has abandonment issues. He didn't say it back because he felt like it didn't matter, he is leaving anyways.

Now what bugs me is the 11x11 scene. And here's my view on this. I was focused so much on Derek's confession that I ignored what happened before. So, Reid and Morgan arrive and Savannah comes out with Penelope to greet them.

My take on this is that Spencer never said it back because he thought it didn't matter since Derek was in love with Savannah (as we can see in 11x18 Reid studied Morgans behaviour, expressions and gestures around Savannah). That's the only explanation I could came up with. Cause if Reid loved Morgan in a platonic way why not just say it back? Once again, there's no logical heterosexual explanation. Reid was IN love with Morgan.

So basically what broke my heart is that Reid was convinced that he never had a chance with Morgan and knowing so he never voiced or showed his love. He only loved Morgan from afar since he thought he never had a chance. But he loved Derek, that's for sure.
