Danse, thanks to his self-control, did not jump at the sudden contact. However, he did stiffen up quite a bit. He turned to see who had made contact with him, immediately wary of the stranger. This man didn’t look like an immediate threat, so he gave him the benefit of the doubt that this was just a mistake.

“Civilian, state your purpose,” he muttered just as stiffly, locking his harsh gaze on the other male.

Three soldiers, including himself, were all that remained at the Cambridge Police Station. The ghouls and mutants had taken four of Paladin Danse’s recon squad. It had been one tragedy after the other, and now they were running low on supplies. To make matters worse, they had no way of contacting the main branch for help- they couldn’t send out a signal strong enough with the equipment they had.

Today, it seemed, may just be their last. Scribe Haylen had set the distress signal to loop, just in case a miracle occurred, but the approaching hoard of ghouls would likely get to them first. He had gathered all of the ammo he could, suiting up and arming himself at the entrance. This was, in a sense, his final stand. Knight Rhys was injured, unable to fight any more, and Haylen was busy tending to his injuries. All was left to Danse, and he’d be damned if he went down without a fight. As ghouls began pouring in from both sides of the barricades, he let loose, mowing down what he could while protecting his squad members.

I may not be the kind of RPer that does all my drafts everyday, but I do often check my inbox/messages.

So if your muse misses mine, don’t be afraid to show up with a random text message or mini-para or sentence or question or whatever. I promise I won’t get mad at you.
