It has been a year since the end of The Rumbling and a few years since his death. You were in a small museum that contained the heroes of Paradis.

Walking around, you saw a portrait of him. The man you once and still loved.

Erwin Smith, 13th Commander of the Survey Corps.

He looks beautiful, you thought.

You walked closer to the painting to see its full glory. You never got to say goodbye and apologize to him. You were sent to Paradis long before the titan shifters were, making you a lot older than the kids.

"I'm a traitor and I do not regret anything."

You did in fact regret everything. You regretted saying those as your last words for him. You regretted not being able to say 'I love you' to him. You regretted that you weren't able to live in a cabin with him near the sea with your 2 children. You regretted turning your back against him.

The tears surfaced up to your eyes as you stared at him longer. You broke into a quiet sob and lowered your head, not being able to look at his painted eye any longer.

"I'm sorry, my love. Please forgive me." But you knew you could never be forgiven.

His cerulean eyes stared at you as if it was alive—as if it was thinking whether it should forgive you or not. The same eyes that once looked at you with love and adoration—the same eyes that held heartbreak when you told him you didn’t love him and that everything was for the purpose of Marley.

You lifted up your head to stare at his painted figure with your teary eyes.

Oh, how you wish you could turn back time.

You could’ve lived the life you wanted with the man you love. The man who promised you a life of marriage. The man who would’ve been a great father to your children.

You start thinking that maybe your fate would’ve been different if you just stayed consistent with that one promise to yourself—the one that you broke.

"So what's the song about?"

You were rested at a small couch inside Jihoon's studio. You arrived 10 minutes ago with the sight of him in front of his computer.

"Secret. You'll have to guess."

You let out a breath of frustration and he chuckled.

Silence enveloped the room and the only noise that could be heard were the melodies of the song and his keyboard.

A few minutes after, you assumed he was done since he stretched his body and moved the chair a few inches away from the setup.

"You done?"

You stood up from your previous laying position and walked towards him. You picked up a chair from beside his table and sat down beside him.

"The guys helped me record this song so they have a few lines too."

He pressed a button and the song started to play.

"I'm ready to love

Though you didn't know who this song was for, you couldn't help but get flustered as you tried to understand the lyrics.

The next lyrics caught your attention and you felt Jihoon's stare pierce the side of your face. You felt as if he was telepathically telling you that the lyrics are meant for you.

Weirdly, the song made you remember your own feelings. Your heart started to race as the thought of Jihoon liking you back hit you.

You looked at Jihoon and you were met with his stare. His face and ears were red which made you smile a little bit.

You now felt as if the song was made for you. Though you didn't want to get your hopes high, it just felt like you were supposed to feel like that.

After a few minutes, the song was finished. The song ended and it was silent for a few seconds until Jihoon spoke up.

"So do you like it?"

"I love it!"

You gave him a smile which he returned with the same energy.

"It's..."

You waited for him to finish what he was saying still having a smile, though it was a smaller one.

"It's... The song.."

You slowly nodded encouraging him to continue.

"The song.. It-It's for you."

Your smile vanished in shock. You didn't actually expect him to make the first move since you knew his personality. You kind of wanted to confess first.

He noticed that you weren't smiling anymore, instead, you have an almost blank face with a hint of shock. He panicked and tried to find the right words.

"It's fine if you don't like me back!"

"Ji-"

"W-we can still be friends! Only if you want to, of course."

"Jiho-"

"I hope this doesn't break our friendsh-"

"Lee Jihoon!"

He stopped his blabbering and focused on you.

"Lee Jihoon, please shut the fuck up for a moment."

He turned red again and nodded. He was fiddling with his fingers while having his full focus on you.

"I really loved the song."

There was visible happiness on his face the moment you said that.

"But.."

His expression fell. The previous happiness fading off of his face.

"I think we're better off as friends."

He frowned and tried to look at you as if he wasn't affected.

"Yeah, it's fine. I kind of expected this but it's better now that I was able to tell you."

A wide smile slowly came up to your face and in a matter of seconds you were laughing. He looked at you and was dumbfounded.

"I'm s-sorry, i like you back."

You placed a hand over your aching stomach, the outcome of laughing too much.

Relief engulfed Jihoon's body and he let out a breath. He grabbed a pillow from nearby and hit you with it.

"Ouch!"

You exclaimed, still laughing.

"Don't scare me like that, motherfucker."

He was now chuckling with you. You finally decided to calm yourself down, wiping a few happy tears that came out of your eyes.

"So, are we official now?"

He asked while looking at you like you were his whole world. You are, he thought.

You gave him a smile and nodded. You came near him and hugged him. He returned the hug and kissed the top of your head.

He had a few love song ideas in mind and he'll make them just for you.

You went straight to the cafe after finishing your classes for today. Your 3rd year is going to end soon and you'll step up into the last year of college so you've been trying your best to do better and at the same time, to be good at your job.

The chime echoed throughout the almost empty cafe as you opened the door. You found Mijo, your close co-worker, behind the counter fixing stuff and cleaning the counter.

"What's your shift for today?"

You asked her as you made your way around the counter. You had a 4:30 pm-10:30 shift. The cafe was a 24-hour one so you often change the workers in charge.

"I'll be leaving at around 5:30 then Sieyu will arrive and take my place."

You hummed in response and grabbed your apron that was placed in a container underneath the counter. You tied your hair in a low ponytail and fixed your appearance even more.

"So... how's it going with... you know who."

You playfully rolled your eyes and tried to stop a smile from coming.

"It's been fine. He's been extra annoying lately."

She chuckled and leaned against the counter facing you.

"But I'm sure you like that."

"No I don't."

Silence fell upon the both of you. The only sound that could be heard was the calming music being played. Then the both of you burst into a fit of laughter.

"It's partially true though cause he found my twitter dump account."

You stopped laughing and looked at her. She looked shocked but borderline 'i kinda expected that'.

"Really? Isn't that place a forbidden one considering you don't shut up about him there."

"Yeah, but he doesn't know that since it's private and stuff "

You shrugged.

"He won't tell me his dump account though. I tried to make an exchange but it didn't work.

She then walked towards the storage area to refill some ingredients leaving you in charge of the cashier area.

"Sucks to suck."

You threw a towel at her which she couldn't dodge.

"Hey that's dirty!"

She picked it up and threw it at you whole laughing. You were able to dodge it and it splat on the counter. You were going to throw it at her again but the sound of the chime peaked both of your attention.

"Hi, welcome to Cafe Siebzhen-"

You cut yourself off as some familiar faces made their way to the counter you were in.

"Hi."

Smiles were painted on 7 of your friend's faces. Jihoon, Soonyoung, Seokmin, Seungkwan, Vernon, Jeonghan, and Hoshi were there.

"Hi, what can i get for you guys."

You gave them a smile and a questioning look. They normally come at weekends and today was a Thursday.

"You guys don't normally go here at weekdays. What's up?"

Jeonghan, who was in front of everyone, shrugged.

"Nothing's up. We just wanted to drink and eat here."

You raised an eyebrow trying to detect anything suspicious. They were just looking at you except for Jihoon who was tapping his right foot on the ground and was scanning the menu. They were quiet and were smiling.

That's suspicious.

"Suurree. What are you guys going to get?"

They proceeded to state their order one-by-one. Jihoon was the last one who ordered.

"You want Coke Zero orr..."

He chuckled and finally looked at you after a while.

"I'll get what you like."

This caught you off guard. Whenever he comes to the cafe, he usually orders Coke zero, which you guys sell, surprisingly, and that's it.

"Sure, anything else?"

He shook his head and gave you a smile before going to a table where the others were.

A whistle erupted from behind you. Looking back, you saw Mijo with here arms crossed and a sly grin on her face.

"Was Princess being charmed by Prince Charming or was i seeing things?"

She gave you a teasing look and walked towards you with a bounce in her every step.

"You're just seeing things."

You laughed still flustered by the small interaction you had with Prince Char- Jihoon.

"And you're still thinking if he's inlove with you or not. Blind as fuck."

She exaggerated a sigh and placed a palm over her forehead.

"I don't want to trust my feeling i might get dissapointed."

She gave you a 'seriously?' look.

"The only thing you should be dissapointed in is your vision."
