Armitage wasn't sure how to answer Rose's question. Why her? He wasn't entirely sure why he felt so drawn to her even when he knew how much she hated him. Their marriage had only ever been an arrangement, something they were both forced into. She had certainly been forced more than he was, though. But even still he found he didn't want anyone else. And he was determined to make sure she did not have any anyone else either.

"I don't know know," Hux finally answered, deciding being honest was easier than trying to come up with a reason. "But I know that I do want you, Rose. There is no one else in any galaxy that I would want. You are meant to be mine even if you do not believe it. No matter how much you fight it, that will not change."
