It seems I'm going everywhere this spring. May I suggest some road trip headcannons from the TOG and/or ACOTARs group?

(whichever you prefer I love them all)

I'm so jealous, I need a trip lol. I went with TOG for this because they'd be so iconic to roadtrip with imo

Throne of Glass Roadtrip Headcanons

• Aelin plans the trip and insists on driving, only because she lied about where y’all are going and wants to surprise everyone

• She also only packed wine and chocolate for snacks

• Lorcan has packed enough to compensate for everything Aelin didn’t pack (and more)

• Aelin didn’t book a hotel or anywhere to stay, but you’ll be fine because she “knows a guy” literally everywhere you go

• Rowan is riding shotgun at first, but he keeps trying to give Aelin directions with Google Maps so she makes him switch seats with Fenrys

• Fenrys is moved up to shotgun for his superior DJ skills, which even get Manon singing along

• Rowan is frustrated at first that he got moved to the backseat, but eventually gives up and falls asleep for the rest of the ride

• Dorian is watching TikToks on his phone way too loud and showing you all of the funniest ones (he’ll eventually run out of battery and realize he forgot a charger. Manon has one but lies and says she doesn’t so that she doesn’t have to listen to it anymore)

• Aedion starts complaining that snacks aren’t sufficient and we need to stop for real food, and Gavriel agrees

• Manon finds a Waffle House on the route and Aelin agrees to stop there, but Dorian and Lysandra want to go somewhere nicer to eat (they’re overruled)

• Aelin and/or Manon start a fight at Waffle House (but Lysandra is the one who kicks ass)

• You arrive at Aelin’s friend’s house where you are all staying, and it’s way nicer than you all expected

• Lorcan doesn’t trust it and says he won’t stay there, until Elide convinces him it’ll be fine

• It would be the nicest vacation you’d ever been on, and it’s really best if you don't ask Aelin questions about how she pulled it off

He doesn’t really give a shit about little things and he’d rather express his love to you by taking care of big expenses (try to stop him from buying you a car, I dare you)

if you don’t have good parental figures, best BELIEVE he will let gavriel know and that man will treat you like his own flesh and blood. offering you advice, fixing your car, helping you move in/out of places, he will come over and barbecue steaks for you and aedion without even asking and he always always always makes sure you’re taken care of and that you feel loved. you get presents on your birthday, valentine’s day, christmas, but super dad gav takes it a step farther and gives you presents for EVERY holiday. sometimes it’s a stuffie and a card from “your father-in-law” even if you and Aedion aren’t married yet and sometimes it’s a $200 gift card to a nice restaurant so you and aedion can have a night out. gav will even walk you down the aisle if you don’t have someone to do that

Even if you do have good parental figures around, Aedion still wants Gavriel to be a part of your life. He’s just so obsessed with you and wants you immersed in his family as much as possible. The three of you even have a group chat where he wishes yall a good morning/night ever single day 🥹. Aedion is very much Gav’s little lion cub and a daddy’s boy at heart. The two of them spend lots of quality time together so naturally, you become a part of that too.

he has inattentive adhd and cannot stay still for the life of him. he’s always walking around, forgetting stuff, and struggles with stationary hobbies. if you’re a reader, good luck trying to get him into whatever you’re reading. he’ll try for you but he would rather be snowboarding or jumping rope or making dinner, something with his hands and body

fav disney movie is tarzan but if he’s in his feels, then it’s lion king (reminds him of gavriel)

posts lots of pictures on instagram of his family, views from the mountains where he lives and works, and you. once you two start dating, his feed is 90% you

HEADCANON — LOVE AND MARRIAGE : five years after the death of her first husband, princess rhaena married ser garmund hightower, with whom she had six daughters: valaena, coryn, daenys, lysandra, tamsin, and rhaella.

valaena "laena" hightower (born 141 AC) - the eldest. rhaena wanted a daughter of her own to name after her mother, just like her twin sister baela did, but chose to make it a diminutive for a distinction between her and her niece. valaena is almost exclusively referred to as "laena" amongst close friends and family. laena was a carbon copy of her mother, if not so much in face then in disposition. she is betrothed to and eventually marries her stepsister alysanne's second son, laenor.

laena's family is even more prolific than her own as she gives birth to seven children later in life: four boys and three girls. her husband dies in battle in 196 AC and she outlives him by three years, dying of consumption.

there has been much speculation over the name chosen for coryn, with it being very similar to the name of rhaena's first husband, ser corwyn corbray. rhaena has never commented on the fact and coryn has never asked.

daenys hightower (born 146 AC) - while many tend to think she was named after her ancestor, her name is actually a middle ground between her grandfather daemon's and great-grandmother rhaenys'. much like daenys the dreamer, daenys once dreamt about taking up the faith and becoming a septa, and she resigned herself to this fate for years as she studied the holy texts. she gave up this aspiration upon attending her first ball and realizing she'd like to fall in love.

daenys, however, was very nitpicky with her suitors and it took years to marry her off. she eventually marries a cousin of queen myriah and prince maron martell of dorne, the heir to house allyrion of godsgrace.

lysandra, tamsin, and rhaella hightower (born 151 AC) - rhaena had always thought she would have twins like her mother did, but she never once considered the possibility of triplets. the girls came early; rhaena's labours lasted for over a day and the attending maester believed she wouldn't make it, nor would the child. but when dawn broke, she had two more daughters in her arms while garmund held another. amongst all sisters, they took the most after their father.

lysandra was a lot like her aunt baela, tomboyish and wild, and her partner in crime was rhaella more often than it was tamsin. the firstborn and lastborn triplet were the same side of the same coin. tamsin was relegated as the mediator between the two and didn't much like their antics. she kept close to their eldest sister, laena.

all three were betrothed around the same time. as expected, tamsin was the first to marry and does so even a few months earlier than her older sister daenys. she married into house mullendore. rhaella married into house velaryon, a distant relative of theirs descending from vaemond velaryon. lysandra married into house tully and though her husband died within three months of their marriage, she stayed in riverrun as a companion to his sister, who'd grown fond of her and she had likewise grown fond of.

The question comes as something of a surprise.  He thought back to the time after they had scattered Mother's ashes, after the two of them had finally started to figure out how to be a FAMILY without her. His father had told him that he was a god, the first time he had really said much about his past.

Atreus knew that it was......painful for his dad to talk about his time in his homeland, but there had been one night, when they'd been staying warm around the fire, enjoying a moment of companionable silence, that his father had spoken first, telling him more about what had happened to bring him to this land.  He wasn't naïve enough to believe his dad had told him everything about his past, but he had mentioned, at least briefly, that he had had a family before, that it was their deaths had started the killing spree that had led him to kill his own father.

"He didn't tell me much, but I know that his first wife's name was Lysandra....., and that I had a sister named Calliope."  His father had sounded so sad when he talked about them, and Atreus had been able to FEEL his regret.  The sadness and pain that had washed over him as his dad had talked...., it was different than how he felt when Kratos talked about Faye.  

"I hope he'll tell me more someday."  He didn't want to make his father sad, or force him to relive his past if he didn't want to....., but he wanted to know more about his dad, so he could TALK to him, the way they'd finally started to be able to.

Headcanon meme

Basic background infos for the AU: Kratos is a professional MMA fighter, Lysandra works as A.D.A., Deimos is still alive and (somehow) well.

☾ - sleep headcanon

While in winter Lysandra loves to snuggle against Kratos’ side ‘cause the man is basically a furnace – so they mostly sleep in spoon/cradle positions, in summer she doesn’t tolerate the heat. Yet they still want to feel the other one, so they loosely intertwine their fingers (and she blesses the ceiling fan LOL).

After competitions he sleeps… and snores. Like, a lot, it seems like you’re sleeping beside a fr3aking tractor. But Lys has no heart to tell him that, so she goes to sleep on the recliner she has in her home office.

■ - Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

While before they both lived in apartments, when they started to live together they chose to buy a detached, single-family home.

The style is pretty essential. Elegant, but nothing too much. No trinkets nor ornaments, beside photos and Lysandra’s succulent plants vases (except in Christmas because Lys has a weakness for Xmas themed stuff LMAO).

Kratos really didn’t care to show them, but Lys has prepared a showcase for his sport trophies and medals.

Part of the basement has been converted into a home gym for Kratos.

Lysandra has a home office for those times when she must work some extra hours on a case.

Kratos painted Calliope’s (nursery first) bedroom and built her crib.

There're big windows in the living room, and toward the backyard

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

When he takes some free time  - quite rarely , to be honest - , Kratos likes to read. Don’t give him fantasy or romantic stuff, but a nice crime novel, historical or sport-themed books? That’s his cup of tea.

If Lysandra has to overwork in her office (YES, she’s quite a Stakhanovite), he reads there with her on her recliner. Ready to take his wifey to bed when she’s almost dying from sleepiness.

If she needs to decompress, Lys likes to swim. While at school she was a quite good archer, but for her swimming is way more relaxing.

ൠ – random headcanon

Lysandra first met Deimos at the physiotherapist studio.

He’s a veteran that got honorably discharged after getting injured in an explosion, where he almost completely lost sight from his left eye and got his “marks” as scars – while Lys was there because she got shot on the shoulder joint during a trial, trying to protect a witness.

At first he thought she was a cold, yet (a hot piece of ass) charming woman, he even told his brother about that.

Then he found out that that “hot piece of ass��� was the very same woman that was working to throw Kratos’s ass in jail C:

{Finished reading Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn}

hahahahaahaahaah!!!!! nobody told me I would be sobbing!!! I should have known, but instead I blindly and happily danced through these books until my heart was ripped out and thrown on the ground!!

(major spoilers below bc I need to write it out in order to begin processing what the hell happened?!)

Maeve is so evil I literally cannot process it. The entire scene with her on the beach with Aelin, Gavriel, Fenrys, Lorcan, Manon, Elide.... oh my heart.. I don't think I breathed during that entire scene. I literally had to stop reading to ready myself when Aelin took those lashes...

Rowan getting to the beach and growling out "where is my wife" actually shattered my heart. Maeve talking about how she faked the mating bond with Rowan and Lyria, and that Rowan and Aelin were actually mates?! ughhhhh His Fireheart. His equal, his friend, his lover. His wife. His mate. stopppppppppp i'm sobbbinnngggg

Lorcan realizing what he had actually done, what he didn't do for Aelin and Rowan.. him sobbing because he realized he destroyed everything and betrayed them... the way I know his heart just shattered over and over at Elide saying she wished he suffered forever and then completely ignoring him. the way he goes to Rowan and says he will go with him to save Aelin... oh my gosh idk why I love him so much, but I really do and I'm gonna need a Lorcan redemption arc in the next book or I will create a headcanon that nobody will ever be able to convince me isn't real. fix it bro!!

I'm so mad that I like Aelin and Dorian so much bc I don't want either one of them to die for this stupid bullshit Elena pulled 1000 years ago!!! I'm so mad that I love all these damn characters so much!!

Chaol and Yrene getting married is honestly so damn cute okay!?! The life-bond?! ugh I love them so much. such a cute little bright spot in these books. the way that she's the light for his darkness is so fucking cute (and so elriel coded). Chaol seeing the note that Yrene carries with her and recognizing the handwriting!! ohhhhh man

All the favors that Aelin called in, everyone showing up for her like the damn Avengers movie?! Literally everyone, every single person she showed kindness to over her life, everyone showing up and being there to fight for her and with her to save the damn world.. Ansel, Ilias, Galan, the thousands and thousands they brought with them... and Aelin doesn't even know it. Rowan's cousins turning on Maeve's fleet in the battle?! ohhhh my heart is made of tears.

The 13 showing up because Abraxos (sweetest lil flower sniffing bby) went and found them, and they all followed bc they knew he would bring them to Manon. And how they fought instantly, and fell into step with Rowan, Dorian, and Aedion!?

How when Gavriel was called to Maeve, he left his shield around not only Aedion, but also Lysandra because he just knows and cares about them even if Aedion wants nothing to do with him. :( The way Gavriel has been kind of a sweetie the whole time and I just want to hug everyone in this damn series.

gosh, the way that everything is just connected, even the gods are represented in so many of them. the way the threads are there and always have been, pushing everyone along, pushing the plot along and putting all the puzzle pieces together slowly and perfectly and now it's all coming together. Ugh a series in which a re-read is well worth it so you can pick up on all the little bits and pieces throughout!! I can't wait to read theories and breakdowns and everything that people have connected and figured out over the years once I finish Kingdom of Ash!!

Amren. She is not interesting to me at all. I can forgive a lot but I draw the line at boring characters.

I think she could be a cool character but SJM hasn’t given us much in regards to the IC, even though they’ve been part of the series since the second book. Maybe she can rectify that in the next few books but I’m losing hope, especially after HOFAS🤷‍♀️

Who's your favourite High Lord? (If you picked one for your fav character, then who's your second fav!)

I absolutely adore Tarquin. I think he has the potential to be a really good HL, especially since the bar is so low😭

Favourite MINOR character?

Probably Jurian, if he counts as a minor character lol. The Bone Carver too, though his death was very anticlimactic for being a DEATH god lmao

Tamsand, Azris, Targwyn when it comes to crackships. Elucien for real ships!!

Favourite court and why?

I loveee the beach so I love the Summer Court, I feel like it’d be so nice there. I also really like Tarquin & Cresseida and I just know they’d be so fun to party with

What relationship would you have wanted to see more of in the books?

I wanna see more of Tamlin & Rhys rectifying their past friendship. I would also like to see Lucien/Eris & their mother interacting.

What's your unpopular opinion?

I don’t really LOVE any of the mating pairs we’ve gotten so far, but I’m still a ride or die for Elucien. But also, I loved the idea of feysand & nessian until they actually got together and now I’m doubting SJM’s ability to write a good, healthy romantic relationship. Which is a bit ironic.

What's your favourite headcanon/fan canon?

That Tamlin & Rhys had a brief, violently passionate love affair hundreds of years ago and that’s why there’s so much tension between them (outside of the family murders lol). On the flip side, I also like the idea of Tamlin having a romantic relationship with Rhys’s sister and that she didn’t really, but escaped through the Starlight pool w/ her mother and Tamlin glamoured random heads to look like theirs. That HC gives me peace because it actually utilizes the magical element in these books lmao

If you were swept away to Prythian, what's ONE thing you would want to do?

Oh baby I’m going to all of the Soltice parties. Especially in Spring & Summer. I’m avoiding all the warnings and heading straight to the faerie wine. And then I’m gonna stick realllll close to Tamlin during Calanmai 😏

If you could have ONE faerie ability seen in the books, which would it be?

Ooh probably shapeshifting. I know we haven’t seen too much of it from Tamlin or Feyre (which is a shame) but Lysandra from ToG made it seem so badass. I love it. Also, winnowing sounds amazing.

There's no content for Atreus of Sparta besides Kratos's story but do you have any headcanons about him??? I'd love to hear whatever you think!!! Do I think he was Kratos’s boyfriend? For me, I prefer their relationship as bromance.

Since Sparta is very open about homosexuality, So there is a chance that they might love eachother and It’s up to everyone to decide their headcanon.
