Winry had been walking around Domino aimlessly, trying to get a feel of the city that she was still incredibly new to. She knew that she had get used to this world especially since there was so much technology that was much more high tech compared to theirs back in home. Seemed like the years were way ahead of the ones back home so that was a big step since they weren't in the 1900s anymore.

Hearing a familiar voice she could dream of hearing again someday her attention was caught as she looked in the direction of said voice and saw that familiar face and heard her say her name. That couldn't be? Could it? He asked if it was her, and of course she stood there in awe as she realized that this was actually real.

It was Edward! The man she was trying to find in this world to begin with! She finally found him after all this time!

"Yes, I'm Winry. Is that really you? Edward?"

She stood in place and hadn't moved wanting to see if she was just hearing and seeing things. She could only hope that he was real and that this wasn't just a dream.

He'd been on his way to the store to pick up a few supplies that he needed, humming slightly before he was stopped dead in his tracks. He'd spotted a familiar figure, oh he'd know that black tube top and that blond hair anywhere. And those bright, intelligent blue eyes...It couldn't be....Could it?

Edward couldn't believe his eyes, blinking for a few seconds to ensure he wasn't just seeing things, before he tentatively decided to call out. Perhaps it wasn't her, but he had to try.

"..Winry? Is that...Really you...?"

One thing- I think it's Genius that the first glimpse we see of qBad returned is from outside his perspective. I think it's such a great move. for a year now we have seen everything from qBad's perspective. we knew and trusted him (as much as you can trust bbh lmao/j) and he was someone familiar to us, and we'd gone through the hardships and joys with him.

But this shot, full of fear and wild alien strangeness, really reinforces the unfamiliarity of this new Bad. we don't know this guy. this is something else, someone else. and if the ghosties' reactions mean anything, we cannot trust him.

It truly felt a breath of fresh, nay, familiar air to find someone else in such good cheer despite just having been in a sick bed; Nanna may have introduced herself as a princess but Micaiah had no doubt she was just as much a warrior who had seen her own share of battle and injuries. Sitting down across from her, she once again appreciates the deftness of Nanna's penmanship and takes the wooden coins offered to her, putting them each in a line as she considers her tactic partners' words.

"Strategy meetings, yes; but perhaps not quite what you are imagining - you see, until very recently Daein was an occupied country under a much larger empire."

The Dawn Brigade hardly started out as having meetings; relying mostly on brute force and Yune's future sight for their meager headway before meeting Izuka - still, it had been a simple time and Micaiah, seeing Nanna do the same, writes her own initial on one coin with the first two members of Brigade on the other two: S and N.

"It was a result of the previous war... but since then we managed to put a stop to a second war, and rebuild somewhat. Still, I find peace to be just as nerve wracking in some ways."

It would be far more challenging a battle if two minds were pouring over it.” Gesturing to the seat across from her, she pulled out six wooden coins she had chipped away at in her free time. Three for herself, three for Micaiah. On a spare sheet, her feathered pen converged down the middle, gliding ink into a table to keep score.

“…Memories, hm? I suppose Daein called for strategy meetings like this?” She had not heard of the land before then, but she could only glean from Micaiah’s laugh that she had others relying on her, too. Nanna’s foul mood over losing so swiftly was easily overcome with a growing feeling of kinship. She thought of Lord Leif, of Sara, of Larcei, of Lord Seliph— there were hearts beating out there that knew she was beating to the same pulse. “And comrades that you’ve fought day in and day out with?”

“Then,” She drew the letters L, N, and S on her three coins. Setting them on the neatly hand-scrawled map, she readied her team for battle. She laughed out of her nose fondly, as she moved her friends into place. “…I’ll call two comrades on the field with me, and you shall do the same.”

“We’ll have 3 rounds, with each turn being designated by a strategy of our choice. The best strategy will determine the victor.”

“Ready?”
