LMAOOOO the YAS au is short for the "Younger Alpha Siblings" au, making the Dancestors and the Alpha kids Younger Siblings to the beta kids/trolls in a Humanstuck setting, since that isn't done a whole lot (to my knowledge) There's many posts about it on Rogue-of-Light's blog under the YAS au tag, but they've been a bit inactive lately!

the leader (Mistystar) was on her last life, and was also old as hell (she was going to keel over any day) and the main character (Frostpaw)'s mother (Curlfeather) was plotting to kill the deputy (Reedwhisker) in an attempt to be appointed as the next deputy and become leader due to Mistystar's old age catching up to her, she also planned to appoint Splashtail (guy who did the dirty work) as deputy. Current medcat (Mothwing) is an atheist so she doesn't get visions and has no connection to starclan.

Before Mistystar could appoint a new deputy she straight up died and the Reedwhisker's death just kinda happened at the same time so it was like "oh god oh fuck. we have no leader and no connection to starclan we're so fucked"
