Did he talk much about the Beatles?
All the time.
Did he feel like it was a weight on him?
No, he absolutely loved it. I used to have a little Sony blaster that I would put up… It’s funny because now I do my fucking mix through a Bose wave radio, but then it was a Sony blaster. A fairly good one. And if you sounded good in there, everything was right. And one day in a few moments when nothing was going on, he would put on WNYW FM and listen to the radio. He loved to listen.
And when a Beatles song came on the radio, he would tell you everything about that session. Everything that happened. He never had a problem talking about how much he loved that band. And how much he loved those guys. He was a little annoyed at George, because George had written a book and he didn’t mention John much in the book, at that time. But he felt that that would come around.
But his love for that band. Phenomenal. It was great. It was what you hoped he would be like.
He loved them as much as everyone loved them. Did he ever discuss why they never reunited, or why they had those near-misses? Well you know he and Paul were already in the process. This Ringo album I think was going to be big.
That could have been a big stepping stone?
Yeah.
Did you ever see them together, any of them?
No. But I know that Paul was up at the Dakota.
Did they jam together?
I don’t know. All I know is that Paul was preparing stuff for Ringo’s album.

Today's the day we finally move to the new house! It's been a rough journey and a very stressful one, but I'm happy to see it's almost over <3 Our cats are... less than pleased with us lol.
Taking a hiatus has been a huge help, and I'm so glad that many of you have stuck around! Doing Poll's Egg Playdate has been very fun and I hope it continues further! I'm not going off of hiatus just yet; I plan to make my grand return on JUNE 1ST, with the (very short) April recap posting on June 8th.
All of this is to say:
If anyone has poll ideas, requests for accessibility, formating changes, or just any ideas, my inbox is wide open!
I can't wait to come back and make polls again ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

MCFLY JULY ‘24 — jennifer’s porch swing.
MAY 16, 1989
He’s still not sure this is actually happening.
If he stops to think about it, focuses too hard on the wrong thing, it might turn out to be a dream.
Jennifer is tucked into his side, her head on his shoulder, as he pushes them gently back and forth with his foot. The old porch swing creaks and the chain rattles. It’s the same as always, as familiar as breathing, but tonight, everything’s changed.
And they’re the only ones who know.
Marty kisses the top of her head, smiling.
“So, the future Mrs. Parker-McFly,” he begins, and she giggles.
“Yes, the future Mr. Parker-McFly?” she replies. God, the sound of that!
“…We got our whole life in front of us,” he continues. The album comes out in July and by this time next year they’ll each have degrees; real, actual college degrees. Somewhere further down the line, they’ll have kids and a place of their own and it’ll be so, so good. “How d’you think it’ll go?”
“We’ll graduate, get married,” Jennifer hums, with a dreamy sigh. “And once the album’s out, you’ll be so sick of hearing your songs on the radio all the time. But I won’t be.”
“You think so?” Marty teases. “Even after all the rehearsals?”
“Even then,” she reassures. “I’ll start writing. Maybe someday I’ll get a job as editor-in-chief.”
“There’s no maybe about it, Jen.” He squeezes her shoulder. “You’re gonna be great. You’ll win a Murrow Award and we’ll frame every article you write.”
“But you know something?” Jennifer asks. “Even if none of that happens, I’ll be happy if we just have one thing.”
“Yeah? What’s that?”
She pulls away from him then, taking his hands in hers— he’s gonna have to get used to the feeling of the ring around her finger— and searches his face.
“I wanna be sitting on our front porch with you sixty years from now, still holding your hand, and just as in love as we are now.”
Marty leans forward so their foreheads are touching, tracing the back of her hands with his thumbs.
“I want that too,” he agrees, “more than anything.”

was supposed to be in london right now, but airport staff went on strike for like 10 hours yesterday and after spending 6 hours at the airport they finally told us that our flight was cancelled. spent a total of about 4 hours on the phone yesterday and this morning finding a new flight for tomorrow morning (this is one of the busiest times of the year here) and there’s still a pretty decent chance we’ll get to the airport and won’t be able to actually board it since it’s a different airline and the online check in is fucked. pray for me 😂
