every time i go to look for like. explicitly plus size crochet patterns made by someone built like me and literally nothing comes up except for stuff that's along the lines of "oh heres the numbers for small and medium but if you need a larger size just add more chains! there's a bunch of other stuff like double meanings and being epic and found family that i wanted to do but in the end i didn't have time for lol and so i had to chase the serotonin for this last post and make a bad joke out of it to motivate me adfKSDJFH but also so serious

the suffering is not the end; there are horrors AND delights; you lose when you give up; not everything is as it seems but also multiple interpretations can coexist; i know this is so sappy and kids cartoons but it's so real hope is everything and can counter the overwhelmingness of despair; choose to be optimistic, to love, to be happy

you're gonna really feel that in DQ3 because of the high stakes but this is also like the very essence of rowan of rin. he's always being surprised when the big heroic models of courage break down, but they've never had to keep moving forward and doing so scared the way he has. norris was overconfident but he's never had to face something like the cold time and the Mountain, but this is rowan's like hundredth rodeo. this is not to dunk on norris at all but just the way that rowan of rin directly and indirectly shows courage and perseverance

anyway this was supposed to be our beloved trio being a family and looking after each other but it turned into post-mask and then i forgot i cant halfass things to save my life this was supposed to be a crappy shitpost but then i was looking up so much cirque du soleil references trying to figure out what they might wear lol. they might not actually be wearing costumes but the other acrobats with jasmine were so why not put her in one too and then how could bess not resist dressing lief up in her son's clothes etc

so lief's outfit is like a preliminary costume before a more grander and brighter one if he became fully integrated into their circle. i keep searching up baby bird and forgetting that im going to see some gangly pink guys lmao

jasmine's acrobat troupe were described as just blue costumes from what i found. and i was like. UH OH. because i was gonna have to work soooooo hard to differentiate from bede's blue bird vibe. i thought i'd go for a lighter blue than the sorta. royal blue i give him usually. and then it got me thinking sky blue. the perform acrobatics up in the air. they reach for the sky. they up there in the sky. sky costume.

I am so sorry to do this to you but I don't think Caparal would dress up. As a kid he probably did some halfassed costumes. Basic stuff, spider, wizard, idefk. When he was 8 he realized that there's a cheat code for this holiday which is "just go as a sheet ghost" and he abused that. He stopped getting in costume entirely when he was 14.

First Halloween after they met (let's say they're post-story here so Caparal and Rye can interact without Caparal either giving one word responses or frothing at the mouth how much he wants to strangle this man), Rye asks Caparal what he's going as. Caparal gives a noncommital shrug and says, "Well, I dodged any invites to Halloween parties, so I don't have to."

The pain and confusion that briefly flashes across Rye's face here is enough to make Caparal completely reconsider it just for his sake.

Rye loves Halloween. He spends hours and hours dreaming up costumes, agonizing over what to go as, etc. (In the second + third iteration of his character, he was actually a tailor!) You are prroobably surprised by this, but it'll make more sense once I tell you that he's so convinced that it'll make him look stupid he never once goes as anything. He has even kind of half convinced himself that no, he doesn't actually like it, because holidays are for children who haven't learned the cruel realities of the world or whatever haha.

So yeah, Rye was confused and pained because his question (which if Caparal knew Rye's internal context of, would have considered it an insult) was responded to with an "I don't want to" rather than a "I can't", which broke his brain a bit.

Don't worry, though, Delayne convinced them to get in costume!

Delayne didn't make Rye, but the threat of her disappointment was motivation to briefly overcome his weird internalized bullshit.

Rye goes as a character from a play, I think. Someone tragic. I'm imagining him finally in costume and tearing up in the mirror like those "I just put on a binder for the first time!" videos. It's really well made, too. He spent a lot of time on it.

Caparal's a sheet ghost, obviously.

Delayne considers matching with Rye even though she didn't really like the play, but when she suggested it and there was somehow more panic in his eyes she backed off.* I think she'd go as something water themed. Paint some scales on her face with kohl or something. It doesn't have much significance to her--she just went with whatever seemed fun!

(* he was scared of the vulnerability that comes with matching costumes. If she pushed, he would have accepted it gladly)

Lionel also isn't one much for costumes (too stressed! Ach, you want him to have another event he has to prepare for?). If gently prodded, he would, though. He'd go as famous poets or philosophers... this guy is such a nerd. Jester you're going to hate me for that one.

Andrea goes as classics (ghosts, witches, etc) but also some not-so-classics. I could see her as a lion. Those are probably her favorite animal. (🚨🚨 ALERT ALERT. NO RELATION TO THE MAN NAMED LIONEL. As a kid I think Sokol wouldv’e dressed up Jason (friday 13th) and its just his go to ever since. Its a perfected art at this point, and I think nowadays he’s evolved it into his own thing since…. Well he is a hockey masked killer now.

Im torn between Jacket being a halloween fanatic or like halfassing it completely. He doesn’t have any go-to costumes, but I think he would totally do a group costume with Biker and Sokol as a like murder sports theme.

Jacket kinda embraces his whole like,,, deadeyed scary looking face and does a like undead baseball player, frankenstein fratboy. Meanwhile Biker has a werewolf skateborder theme, the board is covered in blood like its been used 2 bash someones skull in. His costume is the heaviest on the blood and absolutely NO ONE is willing to ask if its real, since they know they wont like the answer.

Deadpool 3 was interesting in that I finally see what white straight humor is, and it also had best corporate guy Tom Wambsgans which was probably the best thing in the movie for me. Intro sequence should’ve really had him do those fucking dance moves right instead of halfass them like I want to see boyband realness bitch or do some ice-spice shit

You really wouldn’t get much out of the movie unless you remember/liked/or are aware of Fox Studios Marvel entries. The jabs or corporate supported jabs at the Disney conglomerate were alright if you just disassociate. The “90 year one” was the funniest and this movie will probably not save the MCU but maybe just keep the lights on just enough to get those minorities (the WOKE-CU) out there lmao

Some jokes landed but most aren’t really funny for me (which is fine my brain is rotted) but like it was like Pansexual* Promiscuous White Man played by Time Magazine’s Straightest Man Alive and Straight White Man™️ in goofy sexual hijinks or various white characters doing hypersexual/gay acts or saying hypersexual/gay shit at moments meant to inappropriate which is cool I guess bc gay sex is cool but the gag (heh) didn’t really work for me except maybe the car scene bc that was a fun sequence overall. Also I just can’t see “this Logan” as queer (even if the character is like a Bi backwater harlot in comic text or subtext n shit) like this one in particular is like straightest man to me (No shade to Huge JackedMan bc that’s one of the gayest names a man could have and I don’t doubt he could play a Logan with sugar cubes in the tank)

The somber moments should’ve been interjected with a Bwomp sound effect and played completely straight.

I hate that talking about things that hurt me like they're any other part of my life hurts people (disclaimers: this being a distinct and different thing than trauma dumping, I'm aware).

I hate how I just want to be conservational about trauma -- mine, yours, broadly, statistically -- but it's too highstrung a wire for my words to not cut them. Every goddamned time, no matter how light I try to step.

(I know that's the crux of 90% of the times people get mad at me, and I *hate* that too. I hate that the only solution I know works is to just say nothing.)

I hate so much that it's just *true*; nobody is being unreasonable not even me. Nobody's to blame, It's just verifiable trufax about human interpersonal communication.
