I also want some advice Ive liked this guy for like a year now and he's super sweet and a good friend of mine, unfortunately some of my friends told him early on in our friendship that I liked him so it got kinda weird since then.

But he's always been super sweet and understanding, later on our close friends told me he was interested in me and then they told me he wasn't so I'm like kinda confused cause at first when they asked him what he thought about me he said I was pretty and then they asked him again and he said he thought I wasn't and he's never told me directly, I'm super in love with him but I don't know if I should keep trying or just let go.

Aaaand turns out that for a while he really liked one of my best friends but she was never even slightly interested in him, and he kept like saying that he didn't want to hurt me or flirt with her in front of me cause he knew how I felt about him. So like what do I do?? 😭

For one, if you really want answers, go straight to the source. If my school days taught me anything, it's that things get misconstrued really fast when there's too many people involved. Shake off your nerves and ask him about what he said himself, through text or face to face, whatever you feel most confident doing. However, I vote face to face if possible, texting sometimes makes things messy and it gives people time to lie or ask their friends what they should say instead of just being open, upfront, and honest.

And honestly just express yourself. Ask for answers and tell him how he made you feel or how your friends made you feel. I wouldn't be too aggressive about it but definitely have some confidence in your responses and explanations. You'll regret not saying something more than you would doing so.

It's okay to be emotional. We're people. People feel things. And feeling those things doesn't make you weak or a crybaby or anything negative you may think. Say your peace and go on with your life, with or without him.

And if you're in love with him and you think there's a chance, then give it a shot. I'm a big believer that people who are meant to be will always come together in the end. And if he's not for you, then there's someone out there who is and you just have to give them the space and opportunity to walk into your life. 🩷

hey bby i rlly need some life advice if u don’t mind reading this:

basically I like this guy & we both partake in a music/band sorta club thing. Unfortunately we don’t rlly get chance to talk much which sucks ass tbh.

anyway, tmr we have a performance in the evening. Usually he goes home on performance evening and then comes back to the venue 4 the performance ab 30 mins before. The other band members and I hang around right up until the performance starts.

so today- after never having messaged the guy I like in my life ever, I messaged him something like “Heyy, it’s me, just wondering if you’re planning on staying behind before the concert tmr. It’s usually rlly fun!! :)” blah blah blah etc etc

& for a response I got “No I’m not sorry”, which to me is giving uninterested and can’t be bothered trying to talk to me

So idk!!? Do I j get over my crush or is that maybe j his style of texting? Lmao what do u think bc I’m actually dying inside x

i say try and get to know him more! maybe its just his style of texting, and thats just from the first and only conversation. don't be afraid to throw yourself out there! be friendly, get to know him some more, and be patient with it. and if it truly seems hopeless, then that's when i'd say just try and move on :/

from how you described him, he seems like someone who likes so be by himself more than usual so maybe he just isn't the talkative type.

Girllll omg this ‘Mondays not coming’ book sounds rlly cool?! I’m loving the quotes actually- is it a self help book or something?? Or am I being stupid asf

Never stupid lmaooo😭 It's actually a fictional mystery/thriller novel! I totally recommend it, the plot twists had me balling for days😪 However, please beware it touches on some extremely heavy topics like child abuse/neglect/abandonment, PTSD, violence, sexual assault, sexualization of minors, homophobia, bullying, etc.

Some more on the book below the cut because it was actually life changing (NO SPOILERS):

Basically an overview: Claudia (The MC) is the only one who seems to notice or care that her best friend, Monday, is missing. So, she goes around looking for her and trying to put the pieces together. The pieces are a part of a sad ass puzzle and she uncovers a side of her best friend that she never knew existed, unfortunately, and the ending actually made me sick to my stomach. The only con I would mention is that the timeline is a little wonky with the way it's written but you get used to it a few chapters in.

I believe the author put out this book with the main intention of bringing more attention to missing black teens. It does touch on race theory and other race issues because of this but it's extremely eye opening. Of course, all missing children deserve to be looked for and found, but the author makes it clear that she is simply bringing attention to the fact that lots of kids of color go missing but because of where they may live (statistically being in more low-income, high risk, high crime communities) they aren't allocated as many resources when they go missing.

So, the book has stirred up a bit of controversy and it's also based on the true case of Mitchell Blair (An absolutely gut-wrenching case that actually gave me nightmares) and another similar case I believe.
