can't stop thinking about how feng xin did not at all have the knowledge the reader did that xie lian only pushed him away in book 4 due to abandonment fears. from fx's perspective, their friendship was already deteriorating in bk 4, then xl finally told him to stop following and slammed the door in his face. he must have really thought xl wanted him to leave, wanted him gone. he didn't know xl actually wanted him to stay. he must have thought his best friend and prince, the person who fx spent so many years orbiting around like xl was his whole world, didn't want him around anymore.

(and ofc it's so much worse in the revised version with the line "i don't need you anymore" but i don't want to think about that rn)

and i think there's a real possibility that fx just assumed xl wouldn't want to see him again at the start of bk 1, bc he disguised himself as nan feng to help xl rather than show up as himself, and he waived away xl's debt but specifically instructed ling wen not to tell xl that it was fx who did that. he deliberately didn't want xl to find out. what if fx thought xl wouldn’t want to ever see him again bc xl told him to stop following 800 years ago?

hello everyone.

im deleting this blog.

ok, well, im not deleting my blog. no, that wont happen. but look.

i know that i love this app, all the friends ive made here, everything truly has inspired me so, so much.

and its bad for me.

ive found writing to take up so much of my time now, taking up so many of my thoughts that i feel like things arent changing between how i wanted to balance my life out

.... which was the whole reason i downloaded this app. its doing nothing for me aside from the friends ive made.

and while i can at least give myself a speck of admiration for writing, id like to still see it somewhere, just to know ive done something with my life.

so im asking @held-in-my-heart to hold them with her. harshi, i met you basically three days ago, but we've talked so much, it feels like i've known you forever. i love you for agreeing to do this.

and i understand if you have no idea what the hell im blabbering about, and thats okay. recently i was told my attention is elsewhere and my mind is always straying.

and i know why.

that is to say, i love all of you.

i truly do.

but ive had a short stay, what, a month? and ive been completely infautuated with everything here, and im losing my focus.

so this is goodbye, huh?

who knows? i might be back, someday in the far future, when everythings settled down.

today, i have come on here to share a very serious decision ive made.

this is gonna be quick and hella unedited, and there are a lot of things i'd like to say that i dont know if i can even fit into one post.

words cant begin to describe the love which runs so deep within my veins, so much it hurts.

ive fallen in love.

i've fallen in love and it was nothing like what i'd imagined it would feel like.

he's always on my mind and i cant get rid of him, wherever, whenever.

i think i'd genuinely do anything for him.

even death, as far as ive considered.

that being said, i've thought deeply about this and have come to a well thought out conclusion.

i quit writing.

to devote all my passion and time into a hobby is something, but to love a person truly requires devotion and patience.

if i were to continue pursuing my writing, it would be an uncomfortable distraction, that to me and to my s/o.

and it does break my heart to say this, since writing is truly something incredible to me. but ive decided to put an end to this beautiful era, and it was a pleasure meeting you all.

thank you for coming along this journey with me, nothing i can say will ever describe my gratitude to all of you.

i am in a happy, comfortable relationship; with myself, my partner, and with writing.

as to obvious works im still working on, i may come back.

it's not an option im considering right now, as per current personal circumstances, which may also change in the future.

but i am almost certain that i will come back, as soon as i deem the right time.

again, a million thank you's sent out to everyone whom stuck with me from beginning to end.
