hi everyone! i’m not actually new, but i’m happy to introduce this gal that is! this is carly, bejoomi and benayoung’s mun with the final addition to my wannabe trinity!! hana is, thankfully, quite different from both joomi and nayoung, so she should be fun. she’s about as shy as they get, but a very skilled ballerina and an absolute sweetheart. and a useless lesbian. she just floats around between being a dance major, additional dance lessons, and two jobs as a librarian and a florist! she doesn’t have any real authority at either of those jobs, though. she really just helps out. her cute lil profile is here, and her more detailed about is here, but i’ll ramble about her and put some plot ideas under the cut. of course, please like this if you’d like to plot with her, and i’ll slide into your dms (probably on joomi’s account so i can stay organized.) ok let’s go!

hana is an ‘03 liner and a pisces! dreamy dreamy gal

she was born in tokyo japan to a (retired) professional ballerina and translator (who translated for some pretty important people sometimes)

her mom retired as a ballerina due to heart complications. they were afraid giving birth would be too trying on her body, so they adopted their first kid (hana’s brother) and then hana was an accident

obviously her mom went through with giving birth to her but she unfortunately passed away because of  it

thankfully hana’s family didn’t resent her, and her dad instead saw her as the last remnants of his wife. which can sometimes be a problem tbh

she was put in ballet lessons asap to follow in her mother’s footsteps, and has been at ballet academies and dance lessons literally as long as she can remember

she was always way more interested in watching the girls dancing even when the other girls were freaking out about the potential to do dance duets with boys. gay ass

she didn’t Realize she was a lesbian until she got into online communities. she didn’t really have a ton of time and energy to socialize outside of ballet and school and was always very quiet so she had a much easier time making friends online

started in online ballet forums, got into kpop through girls there that liked it as well as some irl friends, eventually ended up on stan twitter and tumblr thanks to her really good english her dad taught her, considering he’s a translator

she also really got into poetry, and made a poetry blog, and she kinda figured out her sexuality by writing about it more than anything else. she also kinda kept her Poetry Presence separate from the rest of her online presence because u know, shy

she eventually fell Big in love with one of her kpoppie friends. this friend actually lived In korea and wanted to be a kpop idol so hana ended up daydreaming about moving to korea and debuting with her one day

she ended up so serious that she asked her dad if she could move to korea and enroll in sopa. she had a whole plan

they had a close family friend that lived in sk that agreed to house hana if she did move, and her dad never saw hana so passionate about anything in his life...so he let her go

he didn’t move with her due to work; he decided supporting his daughter’s dreams was more important than Being with his daughter, and sends her money regularly 

when she arrived, things did not go how she hoped. the girl she loved had a whole Life outside of her and they did not fall in love, in fact, they didn’t spend nearly as much time together as hana wanted at all. and hana is not assertive whatsoever, so she just kinda let it happen

she mainly just tries to keep busy now because she’s lowkey heartbroken but doesn’t want to dwell on being sad. she’s also trying to figure out if she actually wants to be a kpop idol By Herself now or not. she’s figuring out that the dream was way more to be with her friend than it was to debut

she’s not really unhappy though! just. figuring stuff out. 

PLOT IDEAS

hana has a youtube channel where she posts dance videos; mainly of choreo she learns from lessons, but some kpop dance covers too. this is an example of the stuff she does most often. it would be great to have people to collab with on her channel! contemporary dancers ideally. fans of the channel are great too. she would be so shy if anyone was her fan

onesided crushes? that kinda. seems like hana’s vibe. onesided crushes in either direction; boys having a crush on hana who is a lesbian, hana having crushes on girls that don’t return her feelings...

university friends? i don’t have where she goes to uni in mind rn to keep plotting open. she’s a dance major but will have other classes too obviously

dance friends! fellow dance majors, or dance students at the dance studio she takes additional lessons at

people that help her develop being an idol as her actual dream. people that are really passionate about kpop and becoming one themselves. she really admires people that have a lot of drive because she does not really

online friends! stan twt, tumblr, honestly we can probably make anything work, hana is all over the place

Honestly I wouldn't consider myself a great source even if I found out abt own system last year aha aha aha...............

Your best bet is to check DID resources/information blogs, but also especially to ask other systems abt your plot/characterization/motivations/etc if it directly involves the system. Gettin a second opinion from several different systems could help u out a lot, I don't remember too much from 2015/2016 but I was in a Discord server years ago w a few systems who I asked w their permission..! https://did-research.org/ iirc this site is good and that's all i got for text stuff ABABABA. sorry i don't have many links, used to just return to them from history or seeing the already clicked on links on google and stuff instead of saving em 0(!

Anything that uses MPD or split personality please take w a grain of salt, those terms are outdated and I've become very wary of anything using them. It could be likely the information they're using is just as outdated as the term [which it was changed in 1994 btw]. i'm sure u prolly know this tho but fer anyone who may not..!

I'd say also check out actuallyDID or similar tags on tumblr and see what people are postin about. I'd warn that there could be vent posts w heavy topics in there tho, that is a big side of the disorder after all. Ofc remember to view those things critically. But gettin an idea of day to day life or struggles and whatnot isn't somethin that typically shows up in a disorder symptom outline list.

ofc in the end i'd say anythin you might stumble upon, if u have the ability to, ask another system or two if it's pretty accurate or not. but one system doesn't speak for all experiences either, ofc. bit of a tricky situation..!

but ultimately as long as it's respectful and u don't do spooky murderer alter u should be more or less ok haha. it's hard to even just get a character that's even researched honestly.

You know there is a part of me that wonders what kind of relationship Tokiya has with his old Manager and President now. Especially since in the anime when we get to the major concerts we do see them in the audience each time. The first time I assumed it was Shining’s doing, since if I remember correctly there’s a small scene where the two presidents are talking on the phone about Tokiya, but all the times after it too? Seems a bit over kill to me.

I mean as turbulent as it was during his time as HAYATO those two were the ones who were right there with him, especially his manager. So I can’t imagine they wouldn’t have had a close relationship while Tokiya was there, and to the end Tokiya doesn’t seem to harbor any ill feelings towards them. Yeah he was frustrated that they weren’t letting him do what he wanted and loved, but it never seemed like he hated them for it.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they keep track of him, not because he’s super popular as a STARISH idol but out of personal interest, and obviously as I mentioned above we see them at the major concerts in the anime.

Do they ever meet though? Especially Tokiya and his manager, and if they do what is it like? Do they ever talk when they do meet? Or is it just wordless acknowledgement? If they do talk does his manager ever slip up and call him HAYATO?

These are things I need answered.

i  usually  tend to write for trigger heavy fandoms (such as asoiaf, kingdom and others) and may incorporate some of it into my writing, muses' backgrounds and overall characterization. if you're bothered \ squicked \ triggered by that, i kindly encourage you to reconsider and not follow me. no amount of rp fun is worth your mental health.  i try to tag everything accordingly and i fully expect the same courtesy for our followers' sakes. be aware that there may be mentions of death, gore, violence, consanguinamory \ endogamy (especially when it comes to the lannisters and kekkei genkai clans), rape ( kingdom, though it will only be mentioned on the character’s backstory ) and cannibalism ( hannibal and kingdom ) , as well as unhealthy relationships and dynamics alongside with powerplay, and otherwise bad behaviours.  for all that is sacred, please, do note that i, the mun, do not approve, support or condone any of these actions or behaviours !!  i simply am capable of separating fiction from reality. as long as everything is properly tagged, with mutual consent and there are no minors involved (muse and especially not muns), . i support the right of a consenting adult to explore these awful dark topics in a safe fictional environment with other like minded consenting adults, people shouldn’t have to share their traumas to strangers on the internet to explain why they write what they write, be considerate. if that notion bothers you perhaps you might not want to interact with me, for both of ours sakes. fair warning, most of my graphics and aesthetics might trigger those who have xylophobia/hylophobia (phobia of trees or wooded areas), and considering it is a main theme here i will not be tagging it, i'm sorry. but its too many. however, if you want me to create a special tag for you, there's no issue! it will be either "[your mun name] don't look!" or "[your url] don't look!", whichever you prefer. i love shipping but i like my ships to be devices to move the plot/dynamics/muses forward, every once in a while though i partake in some much loved self indulgent shipping. just because i ship a certain pairing don't presume that my characters are approaching yours with second intentions, please.   most of the time i like to reblog those relationship memes, so if you’re interested in a ship the best way (other than  sending me a message ofc) to let me know is by sending ones. there will be some triggering ships here ( like the lannisters, both cersei x jaime and joanna x tywin are my otps, and potential inter clan ships, like with the hyugas - i mean how the hell you think they keep the byakugan in their family?? ) that may either be played with trusted friends or be mentioned/reblogged sometimes, all properly tagged so you can easily blocklist/avoid it.  most of my muses are either bi or pan, those who are not will be specified. don't be afraid to reach out to me for shipping right off the bat - i'd rather have you to be open and honest with me about the interactions you want than lying to me, just know that there will be needed some plotting and threading first to see if your muses match. as an adult, my blog is smut friendly, i partake in sexual sunday a lot because some of my muses are very lewd in nature, you can blacklist my tag if that bothers you as well.

@townsheriff — i love liz forbes, that’s not a secret to anyone. i love lia and that’s also not a secret to anyone. so can you imagine how i felt when lia made a liz???? if you can’t, lemme tell ya: i fangirled for, like, 3 hours straight. liz forbes is - as i’m sure a lot of you must’ve noticed - not a character that many people want/like to play, so to say i’m happy to see her on my dash every now and then would be a huge understatement. lia does a wonderful job bring liz to life; you can hear the sheriff’s voice in everything she writes and every action she describes is something that makes me be like ‘oh, liz would totally do that’. so lia, this is my formal thank you to you. thank you for bringing such an important character to life and for giving my caroline her mom. you have no idea how much it means to me to be able to write with such a talented writer as yourself (hint hint: a lot!!!!!!).

Iggy's Wee Guide for Roleplaying

So I’m here to put out some helpful advice as an RPer for other RPers, regardless of how long you’ve been RPing. Note that this mostly relates to tumblr RP, though it could be applied to anywhere, honestly. Please keep in mind that I’m not trying to tell anyone how to write or run their blog. These are just some key points I’ve learned in the three+ years I’ve been RPing on tumblr and Skype. - The prose in RP is different then the prose you use in stories. What we are doing on tumblr is called round robin storytelling. The point between writers is to keep the story going as it progresses through a plot line. I think that gets forgotten a lot because everyone is so focused on “what would my character do in this situation?” By no means am I saying the entire focus should be the story, just that a mun should always remember to give something for their partner to work with. - Scene transitions can suck, but they are necessary. Don’t be afraid to ask a mun if you can take your characters somewhere else ooc or even do it ic within the thread. - Dialogue is so important. In a lot of ways, it’s the most important thing in RP due to many interactions starting as or existing as conversations. You want to be sure what you say sounds like something your character would say. There are a lot of things I could prattle on about dialogue. How to make it sounds like a natural conversation, the issue of gender and lack thereof, but I’d rather touch on two very major things that I’ve experienced or myself done. This first one is a pet peeve, but I know I’m not the only one. Unless your character has a catch phrase, it feels kiiiind of cheap when lines of dialogue from a character’s fandom canon is lifted. I guess I just wish it were paraphrased. I mean yes, people have pet phrases and words but I mean if something is a recognizably famous quote from the movie/show/book it just comes off as cheap to me. However, the point of advice I really want to impart is the issue of characters monologuing at each other. Conversations can be chaotic and even when you’re telling a story, it’s rare that the other person(s) will let you tell it in one go. There might be questions, the other person(s) sharing insight or showing that they understand. Maybe you ramble a bit and get derailed and have to get back on track. Obviously that’s not easy to replicate in prose without precision and pre-planning with your partner and honestly? I can’t think of a single time I plotted a conversation with breaks and interruptions planned regardless of how close I was with the mun. Keep in mind of this when you’re writing, however, that it comes off as a bit unrealistic to be shelling out paragraphs of dialogue in a reply unless your character is speaking to a captive audience that can’t interrupt or otherwise comment. If your character is telling a story, parse it out. Maybe start out with the bare minimum (for example, say you’re playing Harley Quinn and your partner’s character asks “what happened to you? Why are you like this?” it would be easy and maybe even tempting to lay out her entire story in your reply. What would be more dynamic and true to real life discourse is if perhaps you have her say “I fell for the wrong guy.” Maybe that sounds underwhelming, but let me tell you what it opens up: The other character relating somehow, asking more questions, drawing out the rest of the story. In other words, it fosters interaction.) - Save info dumping for ooc talk. This is especially true for non-dialogue prose. Certainly it’s fine to set up a scene or have characters flash back to something but when your reply is 95% irrelevant introspection, it can stymie the other person’s ability to respond, because obviously their character can’t react to all that stuff, even if it might be interesting. - Which brings me to the point of sometimes less is more. It feels like for some reason it’s considered better to be someone who writes lengthy multi-para/novella posts. I think it’s great if the thread inspires you so much, but if you can’t swing it consistently, there’s nothing wrong with you. It’s ok to do short RPs too. You don’t always have to match perfectly, either. I feel like matching length doesn’t mean paragraph by paragraph, simply that if your partner gives you a three paragraph starter, you’re not going to reply with two lines. Remember, the point is to keep the story going, foster the interaction, character, and relationship development. - Lastly and most importantly and I can’t stress this enough: Respect the other person’s character. They put a lot of work into bringing them to life on your dash. Treat villains with the appropriate amount of trepidation, treat heroes with the appropriate amount of…Well, you know that’s a bit harder to explain. I know a lot of people have opinions about heroes and if what they do is truly heroic. If it right for your character, of course cynicism is a valid route, but don’t put your feelings in there too. Same goes for if you think the character is the cutest thing ever. I don’t care if he’s a “precious cinnamon roll”, pinching Dick Grayson’s cheeks will probably get you punched. I’m not saying to be completely unbiased in RPing. Obviously, if you like the character a person plays, it’s going to be quite likely that you’re going to want to RP with that person. Don’t let your personal feelings overwhelm what your character would feel however.

Let me just say again that I’m not trying to tell anyone how to write, run their blog, or claim that there’s a right or wrong way to RP. This is just a guide that I wanted to make for people that might want to improve their experience or those new to the craft that are still learning the ropes. I was a newbie at one time, too, and I can promise you that I suffered under the learning curve as well.

hey hi yo wassup daniel’s mun here! though you can call me lj. first of all i wanted to generally thank the people who’ve welcomed me so far and offered to interact with this awkward little turtle. i’m excited to get some plots going! but yeah i wanted to write a little intro for daniel, like a quick fact thingy so you can get to know him better. i suck at these things im SORRY. before i start however, i would like to mention that this is my first time rping a rather socially awkward muse so please bear with me while i try to get a hang of his personality and actions. OF COURSE HE’S NOT UNAPPROACHABLE. just-- an awkward nerd. he’s always been alone ok.

➝ daniel’s place of birth and information on his family are unknown. he was left on the streets in new york right after he was born and rescued by a dog that heard his cries. the caretaker of a nearby orphanage found the dog carrying the baby and took him in.

➝ on his left hand he carries the symbol of hades-- a mark left by his father, though he has no idea about the meaning of it, so he claims it to be just a tattoo when people ask about it.

➝ as a child of hades, he is gifted with the ability to sense, summon and speak to ghosts. however, unaware of his powers, he fears the ghosts that approach him as most of the ones he calls for are violent or suffering in pure agony. they tend to visit him in his dreams as well, so he often experiences night terrors and can be seen sporting massive black circles under his eyes.

➝ games are his escape for his fears. he has a lot of knowledge about both indie and mainstream games and consoles, and daniel himself is also quite a succesful horror game developer. with the games he has released so far, he’s gotten quite a decent paycheck-- so yes, he’s rich.

➝ while he basically dresses like a homeless person when he goes outside, daniel is actually a very clean and neat person. while he mainly wears hoodies in flashy colors and skinny jeans at work, on his days off and at home, he prefers to wear black suits and dress shirts. therefor, if you know him from work only, it can be quite confusing to meet him outside of work as he looks like a different person.

➝ oh yeah he’s the owner of the level up! video game store

➝ he is extremely nearsighted and so he wears glasses at all times

➝ the kid’s extremely inexperienced with everything besides video games ok pls go easy on him

➝ outside of his work, you can find him in coffee shops, bars at night or the library. he’s that awkward guy sitting somewhere all alone. can’t miss him.

➝ VERY IMPORTANT!!! daniel has no knowledge about his powers, about the gods and goddesses, nor the demigods that surround him. he thinks he is entirely human himself.
