okay, but this has probably been done before, but i might be having thoughts about a version of the devil that mayyy be partially inspired by the mysterious stranger by mark twain (+ yes, i know that's technically a story about a cousin of satan under the same name, but SHH lolll) and that would be in the way that they're always seen wearing a full-set of armor or like. something that bears a striking resemblance to what they used to wear during the victorian times, but gives off like... gothic and vaguely religious / angelic vibes when they're not wearing armor.
and by that, i mean just imagine them wearing the most extra looking ruffled blouses / tail coats / almost robe-esque clothing. and imagine them having snake eyes too + having a quiet yet domineering presence — though possibly one that's fully hard to pin down because instead of being hot-headed and a misandrist like most iterations are, they are both a sadist and surprisingly empathetic at times + this is possible because to be a sadist, you have to feel some level of empathy.
IDK, i was just thinking about this for some reason today ahahhh. them actually having goat-like eyes when they're not disguised was also something i thought about because of how one of the main animals the devil is associated with is goats... BUT yeah

what's your role in a found family dynamic?
Tumblr media
the hermit who helps
At first, you were a resource for the established characters to turn to, but you quickly began to steal the show due to your personality, your usefulness, or your inherently interesting perspective on life. you were pretty much already able to provide for yourself, but the next thing you know, these people are growing on you.
Instead of asking favors, it becomes an invitation to socialize. you find yourself sticking around for no apparent reason other than you like it here. the people are fun to watch, if nothing else, but ultimately they're just--oh no. oh no, you care about them. you always thought you stayed away from this "relationship" stuff for a reason. it gets messy and isn't worth it unless it really works. for some reason, this group really works. these weirdos are now your weirdos, and if anything happens to them, there will be hell to pay. you were basically already looking after them before this, after all. welcome to the family, hermit.

The more I think about it, the more I'm REALLY not caring for Devil being a representation of Jin failing to "accept his past." Devil has always been with Jin. Long, long BEFORE the events of Tek6. (Something they even acknowledged in the game for like 2 seconds) Jin struggled and grieved with Devil ever since the ending of Tek3. Tek4-Tek5 Jin was HAUNTED by Devil. What the fuck was Devil haunting him over back then?? After all, the ONLY thing that Jin could feel bad about was feeling guilty about not being strong enough to help his mother. That's it. Yet in Tek8, they MOSTLY make Devil a large part of Jin being guilty over the Tek6 events??? His unwillingness to accept his past (the war)???? I just feel doing this REALLY undermines Jin's arcs in Tek4 and Tek5. Hell, it undermines his Tek3 ending, too.
The more I think about it, the more I'm glad I can write a canon divergent Jin and Devil because they really had an interesting story in the beginning, yet I just felt they fucked up all the concepts they had. Even when they were trying to make things better (like in Tek8) they just fucked it up. I don't even mind the idea of Devil becoming "better" and becoming a "guardian devil" for Jin, I just wish... they didn't go about it this way. I just wish they didn't turn Devil into a representation of Tek6 Jin when Devil was clearly more than that and wasn't even that to begin with.

Figured, I'd throw my taste into the mix with this...I don't really have a ship I dislike BUT there are ships I just refuse to ship for reasons. I shouldn't have to explain why that is. Also, like can be romantic or platonic (or silly); since I like think platonic ships deserve some love too. Though most lean to romantic than platonic for me. Most of my OTPs are very obvious XD

So I know we have like a neato dynamic going with Hilda and Apsel and you reblogging the relationship meme makes me wonder how he and Ingvar would interact? I know we have written very very briefly w this two and I feel like maybe some capacity of 💜 friendship and/or ☀️ friends of circumstance / 🌈 developing friendship could be neat
... Particularly because Ingvar can think and speak all he likes about how murder bad but he would probably admire what Apsel does and wouldn't see him negatively
And I think the contrast between their methods would be really interesting — Ingvar being far more passive and running from his problems, and Apsel enacting fatal judgement on others + also the contrast between Ingvar loathing how others see him as scary versus how Apsel seems accepting about his similar situation?
Relationship Type Meme
( No doubt about them being friends, for sure! I like those ideas. With how protective Apsel is, I can also see him being an advocate for Ingvar in circumstances where others speak about him negatively. He knows how it feels to be feared because of what people have falsely spread, so he aims to instill some kind of confidence in Ingvar. Maybe even encourage him to ignore how others view him. Plus, Apsel can tell that he has a kind soul straight away, so any stories about Ingvar being this ferocious giant would probably make him laugh. "You? You are the 'monster' they speak about?"
In his retirement verse, Apsel would readily offer his castle and surrounding land as a safe space for the giant. So anyone (hunters, particularly) will come nowhere near him once Apsel gets involved. And it works both ways. They look out for each other as "outcasts", in a sense. )

// Best part about having a fandomless muse? I can insert him into any Fandom I want! That being said, I have a few ideas to play with!
Orphan!Verse
**Early Life:**
Parker Ambrose Winslow was born into a wealthy family in a prestigious neighborhood. From an early age, it was apparent that Parker was different. Despite being biologically older, he had a condition that made him unusually small for his age, causing him to appear and be mistaken for a child. This physical appearance allowed him to blend into environments where he could exploit his youthful guise.
**Diagnosis and Institutionalization:**
By age 7, Parker’s parents began to notice disturbing behaviors. His manipulative tendencies and a cold, calculating nature were troubling. His intelligence was off the charts, but it was coupled with a profound lack of empathy and moral restraint. Despite numerous evaluations, his condition remained ambiguously defined, with various specialists labeling it as a rare psychological disorder similar to Leena’s from *Orphan: First Kill*.
Overwhelmed by Parker’s behavior and fearing for their safety and public image, his parents admitted him to a high-security mental institution. There, Parker’s unusual ability to deceive and manipulate was observed and documented. Although he was classified with a broad psychological disorder, the specifics remained elusive, complicating treatment and containment.
**Escape and New Identity:**
At an age significantly older than what he appeared, Parker plotted his escape from the institution. His detailed knowledge of the facility’s routines and security flaws allowed him to outwit the staff and flee. His goal was to exploit his childlike appearance to start a new life under a new identity.
Targeting a wealthy family that had recently lost their young son, Parker used his understanding of their loss to create a convincing impersonation. He adapted his behavior and knowledge to fit the memory of their deceased child, exploiting their grief and desire for closure to integrate himself into their lives.
**Life with the Rich Family:**
Once adopted, Parker’s ability to mimic the deceased child’s habits and preferences enabled him to seamlessly fit into the family’s life. He quickly established himself as a beloved member, using his charm and deception to win their affection. His small stature and appearance helped him maintain the facade of a child, despite his actual age.
Parker began to steal from the family, starting with minor items and escalating to more significant thefts. His skills in manipulation extended to the household staff and visitors, whom he would frame for various misdeeds or create distractions to cover his tracks.
**Motivations and Actions:**
Parker’s actions were driven by a deep-seated need for control and validation. The mental institution had been a prison, and the rich family’s home represented an opportunity for power and luxury. His violence emerged when his carefully crafted life was threatened, leading him to eliminate anyone who could expose him.
**Current Status:**
Parker continues to navigate his life within the wealthy family’s home, balancing his deceptive role with the constant threat of exposure. His complex psychological profile and youthful appearance make him a unique and dangerous individual, living a life of both privilege and peril.
Chained!Verse
Based on the movie, "Chained".
One day while out with his mom, he and his mom are kidnapped by a mysterious man who is a well-known serial killer in their area. After killing Mynx's mother, the killer takes Mynx in and forces him to be his servant for the rest of his life. As Mynx gets older, he unexpectedly develops feelings for his captor. Feelings that could be his undoing.

i'm too dizzy to articulate it fully but like. constantine can be genuinely terrifying when he wants to be. he's got an energy to him when he's pissed off that's like he's reading off a list of ways to systematically rip you apart and still coming up with new ones along the way. the moments in the comics when we see him through other people's eyes are always so powerful, because he truly is someone who always knows a little more than he should, and someone who won't make threats that he doesn't mean to follow up on. he's off-putting. he's ominous. he could ruin your life with a well-placed word. he's someone who either invokes deep and abiding loyalty or the sudden full-body need to flee the country and change your name.
