open to anyone!! plot: Sam left the house after hours of psyching himself up and smoking a couple of joints, but now he just woke up halfway in his car after passing out from standing up too fast--presumably upon arriving at xyr destination. They're panicked and can't remember what happened, not even what they were supposed to be doing, which is why they've called your muse to pick them up. This isn't something that happens often, but they probably have asked your muse to drive them places/pick them up from places before. Or maybe not, maybe your muse is shocked and confused by the sudden call...whatever works (: It's also worth noting that Sam only does drugs of any kind when he's under extreme stress/pressure/having a big anxiety spike, so if your muse happens to notice he is high that would also be very surprising

The cold in the air stung Samuel's lungs as he took in a deep breath, releasing it slowly and heavily. His hand was shaking horribly, too much to even think to start the car so he could warm up. It was chilly out, but not freezing, still he shivered as he lifted the phone to his ear.

"Hey, uh..." Their voice was anxious, jittery. A sucked in breath, pressing their lips together. Don't cry. Don't make this worse. "Um, I- I- I...I need you to c- come pick me up." Xe held xyr breath to avoid making a sound as tears began to fall down xyr cheeks. Xe couldn't think straight, could hardly breathe...There was no way they could drive themselves home. Normally he wouldn't ask, but...They were the only one he knew that wasn't busy.

yes this is a natural series of events when you've worked at the same place for over a year and it also happens to have RIDICULOUSLY quick turnover where very few people wind up staying on consistently, but ive become one of the Experienced Waitresses That Knows What They're Doing at my job and we very suddenly have a lot of New Teenagers That Have Never Done This Before and it's just. insane to me. bc when i started my job i was SO intimidated like it truly is a big very fast-paced place where everyone has to pull their weight (ie you need to be able to do the coffee station and work the floor and run food and help on bar) and the customers are particularly wankerish so the more Experienced Staff that had been there for a while were like mini gods to me. like truly i thought they were so cool and smart and unbothered and now that's me. i have a gaggle of 17 year olds constantly asking me how to do things and I KNOW THE ANSWER. on a government wage no less

He hadn't been sleeping well, hadn't been able to pay attention while at school lately-- Not when there seemed to be a war going on inside of him. Was he turning into one of the very monsters he'd often fight? If so, that meant he would become a threat to those around him, to those he loved. That was unnaceptable, until he found a way to stop what was happening to him, to control the hollow within himself, he would have to keep a certain distance from his family and friends.

Obviously, that would be no easy thing.

He blinked a few times, Orihime's voice breaking him out of his thoughts-- Their last class for the day had just ended and she'd come up to him talking about the art project they had been assigned, and he thought he'd heard her ask if he already had a partner for that but maybe he'd heard it wrong, since the worries troubling him had kept him from giving her his full attention.

Erica shuddered as a cold sensation rippled through her body, snapping her back to reality. After being in the dark and solitude for so long she often found herself wanting to go back to it, to get far away from all the sounds too loud, scents too strong and blinding brightness all around, as her body & mind slowly readjusted. Clutching her take away coffee in her hands she exhaled slowly, careful not to accidently call upon her claws and burst it. "What?" she snapped, glaring up at the figure who'd approached her. "If you're looking for directions, your guess is as good as mine."

open! @swstarters It was annoyingly ironic that she spent most nights cleaning up after patrons of the Mint (who did not tip well enough for the mess that could sometimes be left behind) and now here she found herself, cleaning up after grown-ass adults in her free time. Sure, she wasn't required to actually clean, but playing up the housekeeper bit had her playing pretend, and...well, that led to actually cleaing up the glasses that had been left behind on tables. Truth be told, Mari wasn't even sure if those had been left behind by party-goers or had eben left there on purpose to set the scene. Nevertheless, Mari had cleaned them away (and was grumbling to herself that she would not actually clean anymore, this was supposed to be fun) and the last glass she'd collected managed to slip from her grasp, crashing to the floor with glass shards scattering across the floor. Mari sighed to herself. One last mess, considering she made this one herself. "...I guess I'm a pretty shit housekeeper if I don't even know where to find a broom, huh?"
