arsenio's hands are gently as they trace along hippo's limbs, mouth kissing a soft path along hips and thighs before inhaling the scent of his skin. its arousing to be able to touch him, to woship the skin beneath his grasp. ah, he truly loved hippo so much.

It felt like a warm breeze over his skin, like a caress of the sea in the meditearean. His tail swayed and jerked with his shoulders whenever AJ's mouth touched sensitive thighs on display and parted for their shoulders to rest beneath and between. The stroking palms made his ears twitch and gaze shimmer in adoration. Though sensual it wasn't completely sexual - a softness to the want of touching and feeling over limbs that were perfectly healthy in one form or another but still barely used to hold his own weight.

Fingers, shy, ease from covering his own lips to reach down to cup his lover's cheek, stroking his thumb under eye then to push onward to stroke over ear and into hair. Scratching just politely at roots with a smile framed with golden blush cheeks. Tilting his head slight, the sea-horse couldn't help but roll his lips with an itch for them to be kissed and thus - he moved his hand from AJ's hair to trail his nails up his flesh under those eyes, until he reached his lips with a needy nibble to the bottom.

It was like a sudden pull in his core that told him to stop crawling with all his might, to turn back - to turn the fuck back. As his hands bled and his knees bruised, his body rattled with wheezing gasps but it felt like nothing, nothing at all compared to the pain in his very soul. Turning his head to the sounds of his chosen crying out in sheer agony - the sound of the storm and lightening, the rain that didn't touch him because... because his lover was covering him in the vines of his garden. Focusing on his escape instead of AJ's own.

Hippo felt it in his bones - the agony shared between two souls re-joined. Zeus would pulled their bodies of four limbs apart to make them separate but this felt second to known. Thus - as his gaze peered through the criss-crossing weaves of vine and leaves, his heart shattered at the sight of AJ being thrown across the way. Pierced by a trident of gold and water so dark it was polluted. Hippo's lashes burned, hair dotted in white as liquid covered his frame from before but to witness this --- to witness his love.

Oh how his throat tightened under the curse - how it bruised and constricted inwards - choking him on his own tears as he stared and stared and stared... AJ. AJ! "A...!" Blood, blood was pouring from his throat, his teeth stained from white to pink, his tongue heavy but his body felt worse. His legs like they were crushing down on his own bones. But AJ --- AJ wasn't moving, he wasn't moving! Hippo's lashes spilt the tears that bubbled, his hands removed themselves from his throat to instead push against the broken earth, pulling himself towards AJ.

He saw nothing else, feared nothing else, didn't want to be anywhere else but at his side. "Ahhh..." Broken his throat was, vocals tortured under Poseidon's curse but it couldn't stop his grief and agony. Bloody legs and palms scrapped over sharp rocks, the vines that once protected him, crumbled away, limp upon Hippo's arrival and his features contorted into his silent agony as he reached for his lovers face.

Holding between broken palms, smearing his golden life onto cheeks as he shook his head, blackened hair shuddering into white as his ears extended tall and blue, but his gaze never left his lovers. Wheezing and choking of the breaking of his own heart. "A..aaah!! AAAAHHHH!!" He couldn't breathe, he couldn't breathe! "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Fists crumbled as his head lowered to AJ's shoulder, his form shuddering as he wretched and wept and begged to the heavens that they save the one he has chosen. He cried and cried - raw and broken.

When the tides bashed against the mountains edges and it's foam screamed with the Hippocampus' pain, did the beast raise his head. Staring upon the clouds as his throat burned with his only words worth the decapitation... "I curse the very Gods... I curse you all, I curse you - every last one of you! I curse you, I curs---!!" As his headless frame fell back down against the impaled green thumb --- was it to known that their hands weaved in fingers, wrapped in golden string and tied - married upon their deathbed.

‘ bad dream? ’ ( aj / hippo )

Bad dream didn't make it seem like much - but the pain that Hippo felt in his chest made him want to vomit. The only reason he didn't was because his hands trembled upon touching AJ's body - smoothing over his chest and up to his face. Staring with hues ablaze with worry his silence deafening compared to usual but it was with their comment his lashes fluttered and gold shimmered from each to stare at his love.

"Death." He whispered. "Your death." A frown. "Poseidon poisons my sleep." Nightmares of tridents and violence, of agony from being too weak to defend against the God that created his species from harming and killing his chosen one. "It pains me." To remember that - but he leans forward to press his forehead to AJ's chest, gripping their hand and holding it tight.

"I beg thee… never push me away in danger." Never - ever.

Hippo turned to AJ's voice with ease, though the hour was indeed late, it wasn't as if he was tired yet. The seas were unsettled, and it was putting him on edge. No matter where he was on land, he always felt the pull of the sea. Poseidon was a monster, a God that didn't take rejection to his rule fair and though HIppo was on land, walking on two legs instead of a tail - he was still scared. A deep seeded instinct since his creation. "It's hard too." Raising a hand to be offered one in return, Hippo rose to his feet once more. Practice and patient finally gave him enough muscle to be upright and no longer crawling or awaiting AJ's strength to carry him places.

Now he could stand and walk small distances without aid, though it was a habit of his to remain on his knees, to sit in places he used to do so when he didn't have the mobility. Now though - as he adjusted his blanket over shoulders and turned his attention back to the window, watching the seas in the distance. He felt a shudder roll down his spine and turn back to AJ to seek warmth. Safety in his presence as he rested his head against their chest and held onto their wrist with a soft squeeze. "It feels like he is watching… Waiting for me to return to the waves to take my life." Like he did to millions of his kind. The Maker of Horses was a vile being in his memories, and it'll never change.

"I wish he didn't exist any more." Though it burned his throat to confess his truth, he held his tongue with his pain and nuzzled hard into the others frame to smear tears from his lashes to be unseen. Instead, he remained still, waiting out the sensations of the world behind him.

Permission whispered in the silence of the room - the way AJ stared upon him made Hippo's tail curl with his brows raising as a shiver ran throughout his veins. Invitation was easy to taste in the water, on earth not so strong and yet - he knew he had it. Thus, the smaller of two, moved his hands from the side of the bed, instead trailing over the clothing that was worn upon his chosen's frame. Stomach large, padded but still so strong - it didn't collapse like trapped air in a wet cloth on a waters surface.

Dancing fingers from stomach up to sternum and chest, Hippo really felt the difference of what a body purely toned and large was. He understood that body fat wasn't to be dismissed in the woes of strength. Whales had the most blubber, seals too - and they swam faster than any human or shark, his own species were never skinny or thin - they held pounds of fat, they held muscle and blubber much like most sea life and they swam with speeds that could make most predator flee on sight.

His lashes fluttered, legs shifting with pins and needles to slide one over the others thighs, adjusting his want to touch them in a way that meant something more than a cherished brush of fingers on hands or kisses to fingertips after long days of relaxing out of the sun. No, this time, Hippo followed his own desires and adjusted himself to straddle the larger of two, staring down at him with oceanic hues and allowing his frame to shift only slight. Decorating his dark flesh with highlights scales of sea-glass greens and sky blues under the ocean's surface. His tail, extended to fan out the iridescent membrane stretch between golden bones.

Leaning down to stroke his hands over AJ's biceps, bending an arm up to feel down the triceps, to ribs and hip, the other smoothing through palm and to head, sinking clawed digits into locks with a flutter of his own breath. Softness was always a love for those that dwelled in the sea - they knew of rough coral reefs and shark skin but for mammals, it was a foreign concept of dry fur. So AJ's had, oh - that made the Hippocamp make a noise of content adoration. Leaning closer, resting on his chosen to brush his lips to chest, over heart - to kiss twice more, before releasing his hands and sliding them to chest to aid himself back up again - though this time, gentle with his weight to brush his nose up the others chin.

Scenting at the stronger tones of life, warmth and natural aura. Lashes fluttered closed as he raised just a touch more, allowing his lips to part and give the gentlest of nips to the green thumb's chin. One... then two, before lips press with dry softness, moving it up the curve of AJ's jaw to ear before pulling back with wonder in his eyes. Settling himself upright, above, hands now moving to pillow to hold his torso in place without hurting his Flora tamer and soon smiled his most content smile... "Touch me too, psychi mou." Whispered through dry throat, but it was worth the ache as he lowered his lips finally upon those of AJ's own.
