Steven Universe Recast
Retelling Steven Universe using CGI characters with a theme of magical creatures instead of gems. This is going to be a lengthy one, so you might want to sit down.
We have…
The Main Humans:
Antonio Madrigal in the role of Steven. In this world, fairy/ human hybrids are called changelings. Aside from talking to animals, he also has the powers of other Madrigal members, such as healing, enhanced strength, growing plants, affecting the weather, and best of all; Mirabel’s power of listening.
Felix Madrigal is the role of Greg. I guess he’d have a different surname in this story. Or maybe he was married to Peppa, and she passed away. I’ll leave that up to you.
The Crystel Gems:
Nimona the pucca in the role of Amethyst. Pucca are shapeshifters who serve as foot soldiers in the Fay army. But Nim would rather play and cause mischief.
Mavka the tree nymph in the role of Pearl. Nymphs, like pearls are cultivated to serve whoever possesses their soul plant. But Mavka was emancipated to cultivate her own path.
Sweet Dream the fusion in the role of Garnet. She’s a fusion of Branch the scout troll (in the role of Ruby) and Poppy the wood troll (in the role of Sapphire). Fusion between different species, even different ranks of magic creatures, is forbidden.
Supporting Protagonists:
Nora aka Anansi in the role of Bismuth: Well-intentioned overzealous butch warrior. Spider people are used for manual labor in the Fay world, but they rebelled and went on the lam, with Anansi as their leader.
Mike the cyclops in the role of Peridot. Cyclops are bred to be soldiers, but since Mike was born “defective” he works as a scout.
Celia the gorgon in the role of Lapis Lazuli. Gorgons are architects with stone powers. During the war, Selia was petrified by accident and left behind when the Fay left.
Sophia the First in the role of Connie. This was a hard role to fill out, and Sophia’s the only character I can think of whose young enough to be matched with Antonio. I think they’re a good couple.
Chunky the death cat in the role of Lion. He was bred to be a war mount, but he ran away from the battlefield.
K-Pop pretty boy Merlin in the role of Lars. Wizard wannabe who (spoiler) is eventually turned into a dwarf and becomes a rebel leader.
Sweet precious Snow White in the role of Sadie. Badass with a heart of gold.
The Off-Colors:
Terry and Terri as the Rutile Twins. They’re conjoined cyclops twins who were deemed “useless” at birth but were rescued by Cory.
Pomni in the role of Rhodonite. She’s a fusion between Gnomeo and Juliet.
Oh in the role of Padparadscha. He’s a goblin bred for clean-up duty, but he’d rather play in messes than clean them.
Cory the Manticore in the role of Fluorite. She’s a fusion between a vampire, a were-lion, a scorpion centaur, and a satyr. She rescued the other off-colors from being killed by the Fay.
The Antagonists:
Chackel the vampire in the role of Jasper. He’s an assassin who loves his job and can’t stand letting his prey get away.
Lou the siren in the role of Holly Blue Agate. Self-righteous control freak. Male sirens are rare, so they get special ranks, usually as instructors or enforcers.
Manon aka Puppeteer in the role of Aquamarine. A pixie retriever with the power to paralyze people (plus she kind of looks like Aqua)
Laverna the pixie the role of Emerald. She’s an inspector in charge of hunting down dissidents.
Elves Velvet and Veneer in the role of the Zircons. Veneer is the blue one, Velvet is the green one. Elves are in charge of upholding the law and seeing if it’s been broken. These two are very bad at their jobs.
The K-Pop Quintet in the role of the Ruby Squad. Scout Trolls similar to Branch who seek out missing VIPs.
The Diamond Authority: They are based on legendary Fairy Queens.
The Director as Gloriana the White Diamond. Creator of the Law.
Mayura as Mab the Blue Diamond. Interpreter of the Law.
Style Queen as Titania the Yellow Diamond. Enforcer of the Law.
Then there’s Sun Yi, who is based on the Celestial Weaving Maid of Asian lore.
CosmoBug (my favorite variation of Ladybug) as Pink Diamond and Sun Yi as Rose Quartz. There’s lots of symbolism in this transformation; she goes from a racially vague unsure teenager to a fully Chinese-coded mature grown-up.
Queen Bee in the role of Yellow Pearl. She’s a daffodil nymph.
Miraculer in the role of Blue Pearl. She’s a tulip nymph.
Raggatha in the role of Cracked Pearl. She’s a rose nymph whose right eye was replaced with a button. Long story.
Finally there’s Anxiety in the role of Spinal. She’s a personal companion brownie assigned to Sun Yi. But she kept freaking out over everything, so Sun left her with the nymphs.
Character fusions coming soon.

REBEL MOON (2023) | Anthony Hopkins’ Robot Jimmy Is ‘On A Journey Of Self-Discovery’ In Zack Snyder’s Sci-Fi Story
At the age of 85, you still never know where Anthony Hopkins’ career is going to go next. Recently, he won an Oscar for his heartbreaking performance in The Father, and he’s playing an elder Sigmund Freud in the upcoming Freud’s Last Session. And just a handful of years ago, he was joyriding around in Transformers: The Last Knight. For his next role, he’s taking on another surprising task – not just joining a Zack Snyder movie, the multi-part original sci-fi epic Rebel Moon, but voicing one of its most mysterious characters: the robotic (occasionally antler-wearing) Jimmy.
“Jimmy, I see him as a wild card,” teases Snyder in Empire’s world-exclusive Rebel Moon cover feature. “He’s on a journey of self-discovery.” And it really is one heck of a journey. Jimmy was brought to the peaceful planet of Veldt by the Imperium – the nefarious force hoping to demand all of Veldt’s precious resources, and who get more than they bargained for when the planet assembles a handful of hardened warriors to fight back. (Yes, the inspiration is Seven Samurai.) Once upon a time, Jimmy was one of many identical ‘droids assembled to serve their king in war. Now, he’s been repurposed by the Imperium to do their literal heavy-lifting – and he’s set to undergo a significant transformation over the course of Rebel Moon Part One and Two.
For Snyder, Jimmy represents a significant tonal addition to his sci-fi saga’s more fantastical leanings – an Arthurian element to sit alongside influences ranging from Akira Kurosawa to George Lucas. “I’m a huge Excalibur fanatic,” he tells Empire. “He’s Lancelot for sure. I was thinking about him, and how Milius [another hero, played by E. Duffy and named after Conan The Barbarian writer-director John Milius, as well as filmmaker Mike Mills] is Percival.” Expect a legendary arc for a robot like no other.

Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire

Once again, Zach goes in with an open mind. Again he's rejected, but he confidently decides to prove that he was wrong. Again, just like with DC, he goes bare-knuckle on the huge Disney corporation. Everyone loved the story then and everyone was waiting (and longing) for it now. But behind the crusade of a peculiar director comes a film education that isn't quite coherent. In Snyder's exceptional style, with slo-mo and pathos taken to the absolute (absurd), this, in some places quite ancient Greek saga, looks like a set of highly artistic clips.
(Like his "Batman v Superman". But the storyline is still better ).
The lore of the film project is smeared in a thin layer under the feet of the heroes carelessly fighting with evil. The world of those "own", "Snider's", Star Wars, which never fits into this concept. Because it's desperately forlorn. In the creation of George Lucas, from the first moments of any film from the screen, the hope to defeat evil and find the long-awaited peace. In the world of Rebel Moon, heroes go to beat evil to beat evil.

And every hero (and especially the protagonist) is a warrior here. No one has ever found peace on the "green and beautiful" planet (in Zack Snyder's colour correction, any greenery puffs with the brightness of hopelessness and death). Everyone is just waiting for the next twist of fate that will bring them back to the battlefield. And the peace and tranquility that Zack wants to deceive us with is not even seen in the cute village children of simple farmers. (in the second part, the girl from the village begins to perfectly handle the weapon literally from the first touch).
And such atmosphere of eternal movement in the battle to the death is very typical for Warhammer universe. Where every particle of the visible universe breathes war. This is where Zack Snyder would be brilliant. This is his world. How beautiful the Ultramarine giants would look in all that slo-mo. How magnificent would those slow motion and bright flashes from bolt cutter shots illuminate the emblems of the invincible Space Troopers. How beautiful the Dark Eldar played by Zack Snyder would have been. How accurately and succinctly would all this moody colour and slowness fit in the ritual of dressing a space trooper in armour (even stretch it to the whole film). It's as if you can still imagine Zack Snyder in the director's chair as an emperor on a golden throne, almost dead but incredibly powerful.

The film didn't live up to many expectations, but what it sure did well was Evil. Yes, with a capital letter. In these times of resurgent evil, Zack Snyder is definitely pointing the finger at it. This is it. Uncompromising. It's impossible to negotiate with. Vile and powerful, it is sure to hide behind nobility and the promise of freedom, but from goodness. And the time of doubting and self-doubting superheroes is passing. Enough of this illusion that everything can be avoided or get to the bottom of Evil. It has no foundation, but it does have a nature of absolute destruction and total superiority over all that is good. Evil, constantly returns. Perhaps in a different guise and we do not even see it at first (or prefer not to see it), but sooner or later it comes out and begins to do the same thing that it did before - to destroy. And if the world and we change, evil never does. It's always the same. It's always the same. Destruction. And the only thing we need to know is if it can be defeated once and for all. And the only way to find out is to fight it. Like Zack's heroes (and probably himself) do.

Part Two is coming out soon. And despite the first, we're all waiting for the sequel (and the victory over Evil). And we'll all be watching it. Like a mirror.

Josh Crockett explained that Matthew Weathers was the new interim Chief Enrollment Officer.
The last one, by the way, was Bobby Wood, Jr. That'll be an interesting point later on.
Weathers is the Director of International Student Relations too. And he, of course, also works for Crockett Doodles.
I mean, who doesn't work for Nathan Crockett at this point?
And Josh Crockett bragged on Matthew Weather's sermon from last March where he read a "Manifesto against Mediocrity." Weathers read the same thing for the Board this week too.
This "Manifesto" is essentially a statement of self-righteousness and retrograde gender roles. Here goes:
I have a hope for you today. A hope that you will rise above the downward pull of mediocrity. A hope that you will rebel against the cultural norm of pursuing comfort and strive to pursue Christ. A hope that your love for the Gospel will eclipse your love for the praise of men. A hope that you will have a broken heart for our broken world and have the courage to do something about it rather than look the other way. This is a manifesto against mediocrity. Men, I have a hope that each of you will develop a backbone instead of a wishbone, a hope that you will treat these ladies like sisters in Christ rather than objects to exploit, a hope that you will not become a lazy man sitting in a lazy boy with the remote in one hand and Doritos in the other, but that you will become strong, that you will train and become a tender warrior wielding the sword of truth against the encroaching darkness of the enemy. A hope that you are humbly preparing to lead yourself and your family in a way that shapes the world rather than being shaped by the world. A hope that as for you and your House, you will serve the Lord. This is a manifesto against mediocrity. Ladies, I have a hope that each of you will develop a heart of faith rather than a heart of fear. A hope that your words will be full of grace rather than fraught with gossip, a hope that you will meditate on what is valuable rather than what is in the vogue. A hope that you will treat these men like brothers in Christ and pray for them. A hope that you will care more about the battle lines of eternity than tan lines for the summer. A hope that you are diligently preparing to lead yourself and support your family in a way that demonstrates strength and dignity. This is the manifesto against mediocrity. I have a hope that you all will strive to progress in wisdom and make decisions rooted in the word. I hope that you will advance in stature and strengthen your body to serve others rather than indulge or idolize your body to serve yourself. A hope that you will advance in your love for God as you prioritize your relationship with him, a hope that you will grow in your relationships with others as you impact them for God's glory rather than manipulate them for selfish gain. A hope that you will pursue eulogy virtues more than resume virtues, a hope that you will have a growing desire to be confronted with uncomfortable truths that lead to life rather than being coddled with comfortable lies that lead to death. This is a manifesto against mediocrity. I have a hope that you will imitate Christ and your thoughts, words, and actions. I hope that today and over spring break and over all your days you will do the next right thing rather than the next easy thing, because Christ is better than the fleeting pleasures of sin. The hope that the things of Earth will go strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace. A hope that the God of Hope will fill you with all joy and peace, and believing by the power of the Holy Spirit. You may abound in hope. I hope that you will join this manifesto against mediocrity and advance the cause of Christ with courage and conviction, because your identity is in Christ, our hope that one day on your final day because you rejected mediocrity and embraced the way, the truth and the life you will hear well done thou good and faithful servant. This is a manifesto against mediocrity.

Universal truths in boy's own adventure
By MICHAEL BODEY THE AUSTRALIAN 12:00AM AUGUST 25, 2010
TAIKA Waititi is still pinching himself at the success of his second film, Boy.
He concedes New Zealand films don't do as well on their home turf "as, I imagine, many Australian films don't do crazily well".
Boy doesn't exactly scream "hit", being a coming-of-age story set in 1984 on NZ's rural east coast and starring an unknown 11-year-old.
But Waititi's film is the highest grossing local film in NZ history. Its box-office take to date of $NZ9.3 million ($7.4m) surpasses Once were Warriors and The World's Fastest Indian, both of which earned more than $NZ7m.
"In my head I thought around $NZ2m would be nice, twice what my last film [Eagle vs Shark] made, and it's just kept going and going," Waititi notes.
"The feedback and response by local audiences is something none of us really expected."
Boy has been a success because New Zealanders want to see themselves on screen, but its tone is more tragicomic, self-deprecating and relaxed than audiences are used to. It focuses on universal themes of family and the insecurity, clumsiness and wonder of growing up.
James Rolleston is the Boy, a Michael Jackson-obsessed kid living on a farm with his Gran. He idolises his father, Alamein (played by Waititi), a man he imagines is a deep-sea diver, a war hero and a relative of Jackson.
The reality is underwhelming: his itinerant and unreliable dad has been "in the can" for robbery and is little more than a rebel biker without a cause.
"Anyone who has a parent can relate to this idea of not quite understanding who your parents are or making up stories about them," Waititi says.
"Then there are the realities of who they are and their secrets and [realising] they're not superhuman human beings."
Global audiences understand the film, he adds, even if some are surprised to discover it's not a family movie. A Hawaiian festival director programmed the film before seeing it. "Halfway through he asked me, 'Just out of curiosity, is there much more swearing or violence?' "
Australians will find Boy sweet, raucous and lovably NZ, with its recognisable cultural references, language and intonations. It won the audience awards at the Sydney Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival this year.
The film upends certain cliches about NZ cinema globally, although Waititi is still smarting from one US review, in trade newspaper Variety, that accused it of misrepresenting Maori culture.
"[The reviewer] almost took it personally that there weren't ghosts and people in villages riding whales," Waititi says.
Waititi played against local expectations, too, after winning an Academy Award nomination for the short film Two Cars, One Night. "Essentially that was a dramatic short and people assumed after that I would go down the drama road and make typical New Zealand films, dark films about kids who die," he says.
"So I ended up moving away from that and trying to inject some quirkiness and comedy. Maori get pigeonholed into the idea they're spiritual and telling stories like Whale Rider and Once were Warriors, quite serious stuff, but we're pretty funny people and we never really have had an opportunity to show that side of ourselves, the clumsy, nerdy side of ourselves, which is something I am."
Waititi is something more than clumsy and nerdy. The 35-year-old has a background in painting and photography, having exhibited in Wellington and Berlin. His acting and comedy emerged on the side, as he performed with mates including Flight of the Conchords's Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, directed episodes of their US series and gave popular stand-up comedy shows. The semi-autobiographical Boy was the first, tentative screenplay he wrote as he mulled the prospect of being able to move from shorts to feature films.
"I kind of freaked out a bit, I didn't want to leap into it because the transition between short films and feature films is the same as short stories and novels," Waititi explains. "Some people just can't write a novel and some people can't make a feature film, it's just the way it is sometimes. Maybe I couldn't have made a feature film."
Now that one's settled, Waititi is in the enviable position of being able to juggle directing and acting. He has just finished filming a performance in the big-budget studio superhero film, Green Lantern, and expects a sequel to follow.
"Yeah, for my film work I'm in a good position in New Zealand. I could probably make my next film pretty easily," he says with honest understatement. "You're always fine until you stumble and then obviously it becomes harder. The acting thing crept up. I'm not sure how much attention I'll give it.
"I'm lucky my main job now is filmmaking, so it's not like I'm rushing off to LA to do all these auditions and desperately trying to be an actor.
"I think I'm a better filmmaker than actor, so I already know that. That's OK, I can handle not being a famous actor."
He remains unsure whether he can sustain himself as a filmmaker in NZ, even though he doesn't appear particularly rushed to take up any international offers.
He believes he can remain in NZ "if you don't expect what we all thought was the high life of a film director in the 90s when people were being paid squillions of dollars just to do anything".
The money in filmmaking has dried up; today it really is just like any other job.
"The glitz and glamour has gone and you get paid a normal wage to do a job that isn't extraordinary," he says. "So it's kind of fair. I think people were overpaid for what the job is, having fun and telling stories and getting all this cool stuff."
Waititi appreciates that the films he wants to make won't generate the fortune of blockbusters such as Green Lantern, but he doesn't want dedicate two years of his life to a project he's not passionate about.
"The stuff I'm passionate about is what I write, it isn't multi-million-dollar franchise movies," he says.
But with the success of Boy, could there be pressure to create a sequel or franchise out of its characters? Waititi looks across to Rolleston and raises an eyebrow.
"Maybe I'll just make this into a franchise, do the Truffaut thing and just keep hiring him until he's 40."
Boy is in cinemas tomorrow. SBS One screens Eagle vs Shark on Saturday.

Alright but the description of the new Ronin novel (tie-in to the Visions short the Duel) is absolutely insane.
A mysterious former Sith wanders the galaxy in this stunning Star Wars tale. An original novel inspired by the world of The Duel from the Star Wars Visions animated anthology.
The Jedi are the most loyal servants of the Empire.
Two decades ago, Jedi clans clashed in service to feuding lords. Sickened by this endless cycle, a sect of Jedi rebelled, seeking to control their own destiny and claim power in service of no master. They called themselves Sith.
The Sith rebellion failed, succumbing to infighting and betrayal, and the once rival lords unified to create an Empire…but even an Empire at peace is not free from violence.
Far on the edge of the Outer Rim, one former Sith wanders, accompanied only by a faithful droid and the ghost of a less civilized age. He carries a lightsaber, but claims lineage to no Jedi clan, and pledges allegiance to no lord. Little is known about him, including his name, for he never speaks of his past, nor his regrets. His history is as guarded as the red blade of destruction he carries sheathed at his side.
As the galaxy’s perpetual cycle of violence continues to interrupt his self-imposed exile, and he is forced to duel an enigmatic bandit claiming the title of Sith, it becomes clear that no amount of wandering will ever let him outpace the specters of his former life.
It hasn’t been clear if the Visions shorts are full on Elseworld style things, or if they’re just bringing in new perspectives and new eras. The article also says
Kamikaze Douga’s The Duel, helmed by director Takanobu Mizuno, focuses on Jedi and Sith, but with an alternate history pulled from Japanese lore.
[...]
“I love that Visions as a whole is a grand recursive experiment. A fairy tale of a fairy tale. A myth built upon modern mythology,” Candon says.
But I don’t think that the worldbuilding of Ronin/The Duel has to be incompatible with the main Star Wars continuity. This could be the new dawn of the Jedi, and if that’s the case, it’s super fucking interesting.
You have Jedi, not as space shaolin monks, but space samurai. With all that entails. It explains why there’s disagreement about if the first temple is Tython or Ahch-To. They’re both very early martial art dojos. The Jedi weren’t a centralized order, but a class of warriors with the values of sammauri. The warring lords set up seems like it’s invoking the Sengoku Period. So the Jedi going from warriors to peacekeepers and monks is reflective of how during the Edo period the samurai became a bureaucratic class, as this Empire became a Republic. Most chambara (samurai cinema) is set during the Edo period, so this makes sense.
This first batch of Sith are still an internal hersey. But the rebel for freedom instead of power. Which makes sense, you can very much still have these samurai-Jedi still be light side aligned without changing the rules and have them be the tools of a much more corrupt system. Samurai valued duty, selflessness, and serenity. Their acceptance of death is are two sides of the same coin. A concept similar to Shinto piety would be how these Jedi live in balance with the nature aspect of the Force. While these proto-Sith want freedom for themselves, not everyone, foremost.
And it makes their fall so much more interesting! I’ve said before that it was the Jedi who aligned themselves fully with the Republic who doomed the Order. But with this, they’ve always been servants of the state! And them serving as generals in the Clone Wars is actually a regression to a past that they’ve almost moved beyond. And if this Empire becomes the Republic we know, it also solves the continuity weirdness of Palpatine renaming the Republic when that’s not really something that happens IRL. But if the Republic used to be an Empire, an empire that is generally well regarded, it works. It would also explain why Luke becomes so disillusioned about the Order when he arrives on Ahch-To. What he would find would be many of the texts of the samurai-Jedi, which would horrify him.
Honestly I don’t even care if Visions, and the Duel specifically, is officially canon or not. The Jedi just having such a tangled history where they fundlemently and slowly changed as an organization is such much more interesting that what I’m aware of Legends doing.

Io Asteria Voice Lines
Next up's Io, the last member of my main three Nebula girls! Let me know if you want to see lines for the others! (I can't promise all nine for fear of clogging this blog with Nebula content, but Stelle and Phea are definitely priority ones.). Enjoy!
Self-Introduction 1: The name's Io Asteria. I just came here for intel, so don't get too used to me. With any luck, I'll be outta here before you know it, so don't you dare give me a reason to miss this place, okay?
Self-Introduction 2: Hello, honored citizen. I am Io Asteria and I am most pleased to meet your--gyah, don't you dare walk in on me when I'm trying to practice my professional introductions! I swear I'll fucking kill you if this happens again!
(Note: Io is the daughter of the Manufacturer and one of Olympia's three current presidents. Since the Manufacturer kidnapped her and faked her death when she was very young, she wasn't really raised in a presidential household and...it shows. Hence why she works on looking more "polished" to the public now that they know she's alive.)
Personal Story
Story Chapter End 1: The Firebrands...they've gotta be the best path to my revenge, right?
Story Chapter End 2: If I'm a mad princess who kills for what she wants...what stopped me from killing her?
(Note: Io did not take the Actress revelation well at all and it was frankly a miracle she didn't Witch out then and there. She did, however, mercilessly attack the Manufacturer, and since he's her father and people didn't know the full story, the Actresses at Star Corporations assume she's some kind of madwoman. She starts to assume this herself until another magical girl, Xing, confronts her for trying to join the Firebrands. Xing asks Io if she can really kill her, since she's one of the Firebrands' biggest enemies. Io doesn't, which makes her question if she really is who the rumors make her out to be.)
Story Chapter End 3: Valvi-nee's the only family I've got now, so I've gotta fight for us to stay together!
Story Select 1: How the hell can I not hate my father? He started all this!
Story Select 2: I'll do whatever it takes to get back to them.
Story Select 3: If it's for the ones I love, I don't care what I've gotta do!
Story Select 4: I'm sorry, Xing. I guess I can't be a Firebrand after all.
Story Select 5: Is it normal to hate someone enough to try to kill them?
Story Select 6: Your gang captured my friend, so you ain't getting off that easy!
Stats
Strengthening Complete: My lasers are all fired up and ready for action!
Strengthening Max: I'm so strong now, I could vaporize a Firebrand just for lookin' at me! Relax, I'm kidding!
Episode Level Up: I'm Nebula through and through, past alliances be damned!
Magia Level Up: If only my father could see how strong I am now. I bet I could almost convince him to put a stop to all this with enough magic.
Magical Release 1: I'll never stop bein' amazed at how generous Valvi-nee is. She should hate me after everything my family's done to hers.
Magical Release 2: Back when I was out on the streets homeless, she took care of me. Even once she found out I was a dirty Tsukimura...
Magical Release 3: God knows I couldn't forgive like that. That's why she deserves a happy life more than any of us. Certainly more than me.
Awaken 1: This is where the Manufacturer came from. These magical girls inspired him to make us. That's why I gotta fight for them!
Home Screen
Login (first login): The Actress name my father gave me was "Altesse," or "highness" to you. I ditched it and became Chevalier as soon as I found out I didn't wanna be the one being saved. I might not be a kind knight, but I'll protect ya all the same.
Login (morning): School is so pointless when you're an Actress like me. I mean, what're they gonna do, make me write 2000 words on the horrors of war when I was made to be part of all that? Valvi-nee'll kill me if I skip, though.
Login (noon): Why aren't I sitting with anyone? All the rich girls at Mizuna are way outta my wheelhouse 'cause I was raised to be a warrior instead of an heiress. Maybe I should try some of the regular gals who tested in instead.
Login (evening): Wait, is that actually a video store over there? I should probably be getting back, but I gotta check it out. These things all closed by the time I escaped Star Corporations, and 'sides, I still haven't decided what movie I'm gonna watch tonight.
Login (night): Hey, you goin' to the midnight premiere of that horror movie in a few hours? I swear, the franchise is so bad, but I've always gotta be the first to see them. Even a student director like me could do better than that!
Login (other): Leo-nii volunteers at a hospital and was born with healing magic, so he helps us out a lot on cases. I get that both presidential kids couldn't up and leave the country, but I miss him so much already.
Login (AP full): I might be neutral, but I ain't sitting out when it comes to Actress work. Stelle and Valvi-nee need all the Soul Gems they can get, and I like takin' out Witches anyway. Anything to keep me from going at some of the shady magical girls in town.
NOTE: Io really, really hates Promised Blood and Neo-Magius due to the former's status as a Firebrand-like magical girl gang and the latter's association with the Wings of the Magius (whose brainwashing techniques she opposes most of all since her friend Stelle was brainwashed for many years). Of the Nebula members, Io has come the closest to breaching the neutrality contract, since her and Juri being in the same room together practically guarantees that a fight will break out between them.
Login (BP full): Can the Mirror Witch really make copies of anything? Even your past selves? 'Cause when I think about the girl I was back then and how I believed all my father's lies, I just wanna throttle her! Maybe I'll finally get the chance!
Tap 1: There's that cheesecake shop they were talking about... Valvi-nee wanted caramel and Koto wanted mint. I told Koto I didn't want anything to do with that nasty stuff, but whatever. I'm feeling nice today.
Tap 2: People always tell me I get mad real easy, but that ain't the case. Just don't hurt my friends or call me by my father's name, and you're good. Can't say what'll happen to you if you call me Io Tsukimura, though.
Tap 3: Surprised to see me in a Mizuna uniform? I pulled some strings to get in. Mizuna can brag about havin' a president's daughter, and they'll write me one hell of a reference letter for film school. I ain't proud of it, but that's how it's done, y'know?
Tap 4: Mom and Leo-nii just found out about me a few months ago, and it's already leaked all over. The lost First Daughter, alive all this time and all that. Don't get me wrong, having them back is awesome but...I'm just glad the paparazzi aren't breathing down my neck here.
Tap 5: Every rebel leader from the movies gotta have a bruiser to back him up, and I don't mind playing that role. If it's what I have to do to keep Valka and Omega out of trouble, then consider it done.
Tap 6: My wings retract when I'm not in Actress form, so looking human is super annoying. I wanna stretch them out all the time, but all the "out" Actresses at my old school went Firebrand. They kept pestering me so damn much that I just go to school like this now.
Tap 7: "You're a light Actress like her. If you killed the Valkaine Project, you'd be at the top of the food chain." That was the last thing that Firebrand said to me before she hit the pavement. Just hearing that made my blood boil so hard, the other Nebula girls had to tear me off her.
Tap 8: Tsukuyo and I hang out sometimes. I never thought I'd find someone in Kamihama who went through the same stuff as me, so it's nice getting tips from her on the whole estranged twin thing. I'm still gonna make sure she loosens up a ton by the time I leave, though!
NOTE: I have a whole semi-event planned in my head where Io finds out about Tsukuyo's secret and asks her for advice. She kinda intimidates Tsukuyo a bit at first (a callback to her interrogation in the Endless Solitude arc), but they eventually become odd friends. The rest of the event consists of Io taking Tsukuyo out of her comfort zone, trying to get her to rebel more, etcetera. I also feel like she'd be good friends with Kyoko.
Tap 9: I--I can't go over there...there are too many people. You have to get me out of here! *clears throat and attempts to return to her normal personality*. You gotta understand, I don't do crowds. Back at Star Corporations, I was a special experiment kept under complete isolation and...God, you gotta get me outta here right now!
Battle Start: Oh, they're askin' for it now! C'mon!
Battle Victory 1: Ha! They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't even stop to think if they should!
NOTE: Yes, this is meant to be a Jurassic Park reference. Io is that much of a movie nerd, and fully intends on screaming the actual quote at her father the minute they meet again.
Battle Victory 2: All right, everyone's safe! Now I just gotta make sure the enemy's completely withdrawn.
Battle Victory 3: If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
Doppel: We're finally together, Mom.
Dying: You'll never win in the end!
NOTE: I spent a long time trying to phrase this before remembering the She-Ra theme and figuring a negative version of it would flow best.

1, 9 and 12 for Casoleil?
thanks Amelie! 💜
1. answered here!
9. if time travel existed and they were thrown into the prequel/original/sequel trilogy, how would they react?
confused beyond the telling of it. what do you mean there’s only two Sith at a time now? where did the Empire go? oh wait, they’re here but who’s Palpatine? definitely convinced that Palps and Vitiate are the same dude if it’s her KOTFE era self who was thrown into the future.
she’s clever enough to get by on her own, though, and would probably find herself as a freelance assassin of sorts until she could find out how to get back to her own time. definitely joins the rebels in their work against the Empire if that’s the era she landed in, on account of her deep regret for being so loyal to the Empire of her own time.
12. if they were the opposite class, what would change about them? (a sith warrior becoming a jedi knight, smuggler to bounty hunter, etc.)
hard to imagine because so much of why she became an agent is wrapped up into her backstory - wanting to impress your terrible, former director of propaganda father will do that to you.
I gotta imagine that a trooper Cas is one who ran away from Dromund Kaas and her own awful family life to the Republic, and enlisted in the military as a show of loyalty. absolutely a lot less manipulative and a lot more horrified by atrocities committed by the Empire. would’ve empathized a lot with Elara on account of both being ex-Imperials, maybe would’ve romanced her. all in all, somebody who’s a lot less depressed and anxious to please like her canonical self is.
#Sierra's Asks#SWTOR stuff#arcann#OC: Casoleil Molgan#I will now think of trooper!Cas for quite a bit bc that's suddenly an inch resting AU
