We could have had Gay Hippie Uncle Luke. We should have seen him in Hawaiian shirts or bright colored sweaters, dragging Ben along on 'field trips', sharing blue milk and cookies with him, feeding porgs like ducks at the park, rambling on about the most random stuff, having those VR helmet simulators at home for himself and his nephew, etc.

This has to be the cutest Moon Child and like one of the best pictures of BEN! Hands down!!! They're so cute💖!!

I've beeen thinking about some hcs for the Moon Children. Things like dreams, goals, and family life. This one gave me "church girl that plays in dirt" vibes. In the sense of her being a bit boyish, but also lives in a really strict Catholic household. Before going to church, her parents would bump her bob and what not. "Girl things". The actor/model part mainly comes from her looks. It's a short lived dream for multiple reasons. Ain't that too bad?

Then, I did more hcs for other Moon Children! They're all based on a few of BEN's images :D

The -loyal is a note of who's really devoted to the cult. Those who would be willing to die for it. Not to say the others aren't devoted, they're just less extreme. Everyone in this post is a loyalist except for one who has a lot of conflicting feelings.

Warning for s/a and blood

This is just a piece on the type of mistreatment that would happen. The people in power aren't always best. Even if some are """nice""", they won't do anything to stop this. Which makes sense; the cult was founded on and carried out super unethical practices. Abuse would certainly be rampant in these circumstances.

It's a cruel form of punishment, but effective at keeping people in line. No one wants to be around the rule breaker and no one wants to be the rule breaker. A very normalized problem in this cult that always has an excuse to justify it. Still, there are some members who comfort another, even if it gets them in trouble. This is a family, after all. 

Which gets into my next part. Yes, they're like a family, but not all family members like eachother. Those differences have to be set aside when you're stuck in a hivemind. It's the mindset of "The person suffering beside you didn't cause your suffering." Priorities! They only have eachother and their emotional baggage.

Wanted to include a photo of the parents alongside the kids, so here's my take on their appearances as of 2008. Knowing me, some stuff might get changed up later on, but for now I'm happy with these results.

The Copper Family

Well before the first Beyond Hogwarts leaks, I've always envisioned Ben becoming an Auror and growing a full-on dad beard once the kids were born. While he's mellowed down considerably from his edgy teen days, he's still more than capable of getting dangerous if he has to.

Ismelda herself would use her Doll Magic and make a business out of selling custom dolls. True to her roots, she'd also use them to scare off any rude kids and annoying neighbors. She especially enjoys messing with the local Karens.

Sometimes people around them are left wondering how the two ever got together given how drastically different they appear to be.

The Celestia-Winger Family

So fun fact, Talbott's height actually stops at Reina's shoulders, but I made him taller for the pic cuz otherwise it'd look really funny to me.

Sometime after getting married, they considered having no more than two kids to see how things would pan out. The universe had other plans and they instead had their quads lol It was a nice surprise, and they cherish their baby birds.

Reina works at her bakery and after the Battle of Hogwarts, Talbott switched from being an Auror himself to becoming a Healer. Wanting to be there for his family, he wanted to have a career that wouldn't put his life at risk anymore.

Ricardo De Los Santos and Naomi McDaniels

The two didn't really get the chance to become a family as Naomi had Ascended into an Angel and had to reach the Departure shortly after Rel was born. As it marked the end of her human lifespan, she was essentially dead.

The pair met in Las Vegas in 1993. Ricardo went there to get over Chester dumping him, while Naomi had been there with her group of "friends" that quickly ditched her. Deep down she knew that her time was coming to an end, so she was there to live out her final days as much as possible.

The two enjoyed each other's company and hooked up almost instantly. Thanks to some drunken shenanigans, they find out they were expecting. They decided to confide in each other and told their biggest secrets, with Naomi learning that he was a Wizard, and Ricardo realizing she had Ascended and was on her final days as a human.

Her Departure gets delayed due to her pregnancy, and they're aware she'll pass on once the baby is born. In the year they got to know each other, they grew very close. She got the chance to hold their daughter and gave Ricardo the idea to name her after his late older sister Rel. Ricardo would see her off once the Departure was initiated.

He always remembers her fondly and has a memorial for her at his home. Rel was told about her mom once she was old enough, and loves her all the same.

before arista, there were only two victors for district 9; ben ackerman, who won at age 17 in the 28th games, and sadie brood, who won at age 18 in the 31st games. ben's arena consisted of a chaparral biome and lasted for 9 days, sadie's was a temperate shrubland and lasted for 15.

ben was arista's mentor, and did his best to prepare her for what was to come. he was a bit jaded, but well-meaning, and lived with his sister and her husband and daughter at his house in the victor's village. sadie was a bit more talkative than ben, also a bit worn over the years, but still kind, and lived with her husband, who she married three years after her games. over the years, the two victors had become almost like siblings themselves, and had lunches together at least once a week.

ben and sadie were selected for the quell and died in the arena. their families were taken out in the purge.

If it were not for the breath he drew or the monotonous voice that grated through the air when he'd briefly spoke. It would be easy to mistake him for something made of marble, cold and unfeeling, an object without life or love. Though, that too was the truth of Kylo Ren. He lived as a statue, an object carefully crafted over many years to serve the mind and eyes of others as a beast.

Han Solo was just a memory to him. Flickers of a before life, from a past that could have been eons ago for all he remembered about it. Han Solo was just another insignificant speck in his way, a man with a name that he cursed into the void of stars at night. He meant nothing to this body, these eyes, brain and hands. Kylo Ren served a purpose that Han Solo could never attain; what a meagre and pitiful creature. He should be gladly relieved of his miserable existence.

Fist clenched, he raised his hand into the tempest, bearing his teeth behind the mask. The world around them immediately began to tremble, bending to his will, helpless against his command, like a black hole that swallowed all things whole. Perhaps Han Solo would finally succumb to his event horizon this day, taking any notion of fool's hope with it.
