I think that when azzy started working with the hounds he wasn't hateful. he was a little lost and needed something to do and col took advantage of that. but as time went on azzy started to grow more and more hateful and resentful - especially of io. io has killed his hounds, even outside of a fight, because if io marks a hound in a civilian setting they'll kill them first.

and those were people. not good people, but the hounds don't see themselves as 'bad.' azzy saw people he knew and trusted die at the hands of a very pissed off witch, and it's made him furious. azzy hates io with a passion, and the feeling is very, very mutual.

I am thinking about some of my muses:

I think about azzy a lot, and the fact that he has so much potential, and how unlucky it was that col was the one who saw it first. it's unfortunate, too, that azzy is so loyal to him now.

keith really is my quintessential terrifying werewolf. he is the one who can't control it and never will. he's the monster, the beast, the wolf who is so, so angry and frightened and dangerous. he doesn't love the things other werewolves might love. he hates the night, he hates the cycles of the moon. his changes are painful and leave him sore and tired and hungry each and every time.

eden collects a lot of things that some might find odd: carnivorous plants, taxidermy (rogue and normal), bones and other vulture-culture related things. their house is filled with this collection. their fox familiar, quasar, enjoys pretending to be these pieces of taxidermy, sometimes, only to frighten an unsuspecting guest by moving or blinking (or winking if he wants to be really terrible).

latona comes off as rather calm and self-assured, in a way that makes her intimidating in some ways. she's perfectly aware of her own power and her own emotions, and can easily use one specifically, while shoving the other way. they never effect each other unless she wants them too.

          I think azzy is hands down, hardest to have a relationship with. he’s always busy: he works for venator. he works for col. he has his own subordinates to keep track of and make sure they have everything they need. the man is busy. and then there’s also the whole kills people directly and indirectly for a living. and the loyalty towards col. if azzy were asked to choose between a friend, a lover or the hounds? I think... I think azzy would choose the hounds. he would take his spot just a step behind col, like the loyal hound he is.

azzy has his fair share of scars and old injuries, but two of his most notable is a crooked nose (halfway up, bends slightly to the right) and a perichondrial hematoma ‘cauliflower ear’ at the top of his left ear. 

he really loves dogs. he used to have a husky mix for a couple of years, but ended up having to find another family for her because of his involvement with the hounds and venator. 

tbh he doesn’t expect to live past 30 both because of job and lifestyle. jokes on him, though, because he does.

good at his job, but reckless. he takes a lot of chances and jumps at a lot of opportunities without bothering to think it through first. he is a man of action, not of thought.

he has stellar aim. he was fairly good/a natural when he first started practicing, but now with more practice he’s become lethally good behind a rifle.

not a big fan of being touched suddenly/without warning. way too many fights and near-death experiences to be comfortable with that.

his mother was a witch. azzy did not inherit her magic, but he is blessed in a way - curses and hexes roll off him like water on duck feathers. it annoys a lot of witches.

          once I said azzy was really motivated within the hounds because of money, but I don’t think that’s true anymore? maybe at first, he was. but now? he’s loyal, and unshakeable. someone can preach at him all they want and give good reasons why he should leave, but azzy will always take a step back to stand just behind col, because that’s where he thinks he should be. and that’s where he’ll stay, until it all comes tumbling down.
