A particular snippet in Hollow Heart that I'm proud of. Chapter 5's gonna be a doozy.

OUGH hollowheart
I'm so invested in the arc of Porter Robinson's discography
Like I love looking at it and seeing how the outlook of the perspective character changes
And hollowheart is THE point where worlds ended and nurture began
It's a deeply despairing and tragic piece that nonetheless introduces the naturalistic style of nurture and serves thus as a great point for nurture to refute and comfort
It's so beautifully tragic. How do you interpret it?

Enoch O' Connor is my fictional love. I love this character, both in the movie and in the books. I think he's been very underrated for a long time. Here is my video appreciation of the Hollow Heart.

One of the nicest comments I’ve gotten on AO3 😭💕
Sometimes I get self conscious about how I write characters and reminders like this reassure my anxious brain 🥰

closed starter for @hollowhearts-aoife
where: ink and antiquity
when: early afternoon.
"I know, I know," she started, with round eyes in a half-roll and a smile teetering the corners of her lips.
Marnie had her forearms on the front counter, hips pressed into the wood, and her body leaning well and truly towards Aoife. Shamelessly flirting, just as hands slid across the surface and reached to take a gentle hold of the woman's wrists. A gesture she could pass off as something more pure in an emotion heightened by her excitement-induced impatience, had it not been the hundredth time.
"You said a week at best. But... if you maybe have an update?"
Of course she'd asked Aoife to source the impossible. Marnie was on the hunt for a long-forgotten text about a universal language spoken among necromancers. It was a fallacy, really, but there was always a little shrivel of belief swimming in her eyes that even the improbable, and the most unlikely little rumour, had some merit to it. At the very least, she might be able to track down where the rumour had started.
"It's totally fine if you can't get it in. I know it's a ridiculous ask."

some dark forest side characters! :] names and a little info on each under the cut.
Clawstripe (top left) - he/him, formerly Snowdrift, banished for murder
Shademask (top right) - he/they, formerly Evergreen, banished for murder
Hollowheart (bottom left) - he/him, formerly Alpine, banished for doubting his role as a Peace-Keeper and refusing to punish his son for breaking the code
Fishleap (middle) - they/them, formerly Snowdrift, banished for starting a conspiracy against their Clan’s leader and Peace-Keeper (and later assassinating both)
Dawnclaw (bottom right) - she/her, formerly Alpine, banished for lying about StarClan’s messages to her, as a Clan medic
+ Finchfeather wasn’t included since I’ve drawn her before, but she is technically a dark forest side character also. She was formerly Alpine and was banished for (mass) murder.
