listen. odin is not the kindest person out there ok. he’s a king FIRST, a husband and father second. this can come across as though he is neglectful of his personal relationships and, in short, he is. the man grew up with a father figure who beat him into being a soldier and drilled it into his head that nothing mattered but power so the fact that odin is even able to differentiate that is a MIRACLE in and of itself. where his father sought to own the people he ruled, odin’s objective is to protect them and make sure they have the most opportunities for a good life. 

unfortunately that means that anyone who threatens to harm that is considered a nuisance at best and an enemy at worst.

Entangled limbs, heavy breathing..... Eiden praises himself for his well-trained flexibility with the kind of position he's currently stuck on. Begrudgingly he'll allow some for Aurelius as well but refuses to share them out loud knowing it'd just rush to his head. It makes his placement here easier as well allowing to spread his leg further according to the previous command read a while before this one.

Klaus who witnesses the scene from side must be reconsidering his life choices by now. All he'd done to suggest a game he'd heard brought harmony even to the most rowdiest of crowds. It seems like he'd been duped.

So he spins the arrow as per rules go and reads the command:

" Red, left hand! "

In the mids of fixing a better placement turns his botton upwards only realizing he's pushing onto Aurelius front now.

" Oh my bad, don't go pushing back now though or I might pop a --AAUUUUUWCCHHHHH!! "

" Aurelius! " Klaus yells from the side.

" You did say red on left hand... I misunderstood the command."

Aurelius gets up before Eiden who's now down holding to the hand that the angel stabbed with the pen. Aurelius pockets the pen sighing as he gets ready to heal the annoyance. The temper got better off him but Klaus is here.

" I'll do it! "

With (rather gentle) push Aurelius is left aside in shock as Klaus rushes over to tend the scoundrel who as if on cue promptly shows a tongue at him when Klaus isn't looking.

❇ life philosophy headcanons.

♛ — Does your muse believe in luck? What about fate?

From Zech's perspective, if there is such a thing as "luck", then he figures he must have the worst luck in the world. There's a case to be made for being so fortunate that you survive everything that's thrown at you, but the tradeoff is that you constantly end up losing everything that matters to you as a result.

On a related note, Zech doesn't care for gambling outside of, say, poker because, to him, poker is more of a game of skill than chance, regardless of whatever hand you're given.

As Zech himself would say, "Fate can go to hell". He has decided to scorn every measure of predestination wherever possible at this point, and it's because he doesn't want to believe there's some guiding hand out there that controls the direction of people's lives. If there is, he would rather reject it and decide his own life for himself.

Something something, his powers inherently make him something of a "Fatebreaker" anyway, so—

♘ — Do they believe humanity/their species, as a whole, to be moving in the ‘right’ direction or the ‘wrong’ one? Why do they believe this?

While he can't speak for the human race of other worlds, the direction that the human beings of his own, original, home world were taking made him considerably pessimistic. It's not his place to judge it as being "right" or "wrong", but there was certainly something dubious happening behind the scenes. Technology developed rapidly, civilization flourished, and most of humanity was united by his time, but it was all completely centralized even as it grew outwards. It was as though the humans of his time were more focused on progressing forward rather than paying any sort of mind towards the past, and those who did were left behind in the dust, considered "obsolete", which said nothing of the people who could not afford to survive under the constant momentum of "progress".

That aside, a very rampant xenophobia had taken hold of humanity's collective consciousness on top of this. All forms of myth and mysticism were being abandoned in favor of technological development and what was considered "innovation by human hands" and, as noted in previous headcanons, demons who were left behind in the human world were harshly persecuted. It's understandable to at least some extent considering that demonkind nearly drove humanity to extinction but, be that as it may, some demons still tried to peacefully coexist with humanity yet still found themselves hunted down all the same to the point where the remaining demons had to keep themselves in hiding. Fringe groups have attempted to rise up to combat this oppression, but such causes have only proved to sour the perception of demonkind even further, attaching some arguable form of "legitimacy" to people's intolerance.

Ultimately, Zech acknowledges that he's just one man. He understands to some extent now why his parents decided not to participate in the efforts to "rebuild" following their war's end, and instead opted to establish their family in some remote location far from what would become the centerpiece of human society. Though he ended up living in that same, centralized place as he grew older, all he simply concerned himself with is his own business. He never wished to take part in anything that would massively affect the trajectory of humankind one way or the other, even if some of his jobs sometimes got him involved with elements of that nature.

He always believed that, no matter what he did, he could never achieve the same impact as his parents, and that the world would not stop turning just for him and him alone. Ironic, considering the truth of why he can no longer return to his home in his Tumblr verse stuff.
