wednesday couldn't think of a better way than to codify the location, other than going backwards one letter in the alphabet. the riddled location is simply [my house]. her parents kept plaguing her with questions about her friends at school and frankly, she doesn't have friends, acquaintances at the very best. inviting eddie seems like the better alternative to her mother's insistent and plainly diabolical way of inviting people over. it's enough to shut their mouths.

Cassian regards her with a bemused look, shoulder leaning against the bookcase shelving with an open book in one hand lazily cast aside. Strangers… Does she not recognize him? It has been some time since they last crossed paths but Nunnally hardly seems the type to forget a familiar face.

There's only one way to find out he supposes, 〝I’m always this straightforward in general. Though would you have preferred I not offer any assistance?〞

Cassian had spotted Nunnally after he arrived to the library, a large history and non-fiction focused resource catalogue curtesy of the local university he 〝attended〞 on occasion. He found their considerable selection one of the more interesting of the many places he’s been, though he didn’t anticipate seeing Nun here considering she was rather sheltered last he knew.

Perhaps it was the sheer size of the university and it’s prestigious reputation that allowed her family to approve of this, or maybe Nunnally had come to be in his selfsame situation after all this time.

The reason he came to be speaking with her now a matter of vertical impairment. It seemed a book on one of the upper shelves had caught her interest but there were no step stools or ladders in the immediate vicinity. He watched her from afar for a bit attempting to jump, climb, and knock the shelves before deciding to put his almost unnatural stature to good use.

With nearly a foot difference between the two, him standing at 6’7 without his wings, he grasped the book easily and that was now the one open at his side. Flipping through the pages, there didn’t seem to be anything he would note of importance, 〝what is it about this particular novel that had you nearly scaling the shelves to reach it?〞

Shifting bronze eyes hidden behind gold aviator glasses enchanted to disguise them as a deep warm brown look between the pages and Nunnally. 〝The Nunnally I know had little care for historical affairs.〞

moving to hawkins was unpleasant at first – town seemed a notch too mundane and safe, defying wednesday’s hopes. fortunately, the facade didn’t last long, strange occurrences and people missing sparking interest within. intrigue arises whenever a new name appears on a missing poster stapled on light poles. however, it becomes personal when eddie becomes the new mia, causing strange emotions. conflicting ‘till the very end, wednesday begins to acknowledge she could’ve been plagued by unnecessary emotions regarding him. after all, all individuals need one person to survive the phase in their lives and eddie is definitely the unique person that helps her throughout highschool. linking eddie to a self preservation idea feels more natural than admitting she feels attached to him.

it doesn’t come as a surprise when relief swallows her whole at the sight of her only friend. brows furrow at first, the need to ask for what happened, where did he go boiling within. she almost shows it, but is soon reminded that questioning has no purpose since he’s standing before her very own eyes. one brow rises as she carefully inspected his visage – it’s real, he’s alive and well and unbothered by the mess that took hawkins by surprise. “consider your challenge accepted.” head tilts to a side as the response is given, content that she’s no longer alone and helpless according to society. “just how dark and dangerous is this path you’re talking about?” excitement flickering in obsidian hues, he cannot deliver wednesday such an enthralling proposal and not satisfy her with a twisted description.

no1 talks enough abt the fact that in the true ending ankou ends up making a contract / promise with scien to cure the death curse with him i think that's so spicy. virche gives us so much actual good content of the other LI's interacting w each other tbh

it's esp fun bc not only does it imply that ankou overcomes his hatred of scien & start to humanize him in his mind by seeing some of his better qualities but also like once again the happiest ending truly is accomplished by working w scien. 💀 there will be no living w him ever again for the cast KJENRMH
