Ou hi I don't mean to get very sad but

In episode 6 Father Greror tells Skid and Pump to always ask permission before entering any place, and they actually listened to him. In the scene where they were stuck with Moloch, he told them to let him in their bodies, and they said yes, they gave him permission. Tthis is more obvious after Moloch dies, and Skid says "we have him permission!", which shows he's clearly very upset and confused on why Gregor did that, despite them listening to his advice (not only that but them listening to the advice of apologizing to everyone too)

So at the end of the day Skid and Pump still listened to his advise, just not exactly in the way he meant (the kids didn't know💔)

So maybe after Gregor killed Moloch and all that, Skid and Pump were also very upset because they thought they did everything right— they tried to listen and do everything he said but still got something that absolutely broke them (which was Moloch dying), so the kids were possibly also very confused on what they did wrong

So maybe they don't only blame themselves that they've done smt wrong but also because they don't know what they've done wrong, or they think they're just the problem and no matter what they do they can't do anything right and never will

22 And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, 25 and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there. 26 They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. 27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
