because now I am sitting here thinking about it , here’s (some of ) my ( unorganized ) thoughts on catherine as a mom.

endless scrolling in mom groups.  marina can help the best she can , but because she does not have any children or care to be around them , she’s not catherine’s go-to for advice. 

obviously , nergal wouldn’t be a demon if catherine is human for this verse , so I imagine he would be a CEO or something and would definitely be a glamdad ( listen , he gives me foxy grandpa vibes ). 

that nursery would be filled up : it would be themed , lots of toys , the works !  catherine would more than likely end up impulse - buying and would have to sell off things or donate them.

whether catherine is a single mom or not would depend on if this would be a thread. 

pregnancy would not be catherine’s friend : she would be sick as a dog for most of the first trimester , food aversions up the wazoo but NO WAY IN HELL SHE’S GIVING UP HER SWEETS. of course , she would end up reading the label on EVERYTHING .  marina would get so tired of her asking ‘ you think this is good for the baby? ’

she would slay a maternity shoot : long flowing gown in a sunset or moonlit night setting . more than likely on a beach .

I  do  want  to  touch  on  the  fact  that  catherine is the epitome of OBJECTS ARE DIFFERENT THAN THEY APPEAR .  she’s  not  a  sweetheart  type  :  she  just  comes  off  that  way  in  the  initial  stage  .   she  doesn’t  like  boring  ,  she  likes  a  challenge  —  someone  to  match  her  energy  ,  someone  who  won’t  just  lay  down  and  let  her  step  all  over  them  .  however  ,  she  is  the  type  to  test  a  man’s  limit  :  she  will  want  them  to  submit  but  wants  the  pushback  .  she  WILL  do  everything  possible  to  have  her  lover  prove  himself  to  her  —  she  will  get  them  to  be  jealous  and  act  oblivious  when  confronted  .  she  will  keep  them  guessing  .  these  things  are  what  she  gets  off  to  .  

she  will  want  to  argue  ,  because  she  enjoys  the  aggressive  make  -  up  sex .  she’s  very  toxic  in  this  regard  —  and  she  herself  is  the  jealous  type  .  if  someone  she  likes  is  in  love  with  someone  else  ,  they’re  now  her  target  and  will  be  dealt  with  .  I  am saying  this  because  as  her  writer  I  know  I  make  her  cutesy  and  flirty   but  the   ‘  cuteness  ’  is  for  damned  sure  to  an  extent  .

welcome to catherine's bedroom !! it looks like this . she actually lives in the hotel her best friend marina owns , but she cut her a deal and remodeled one of the rooms to be her own studio apartment in a sense .

catherine  has   a  pink  -  bedazzled  iphone  .  she  has  charms  on  the  end  :  a  baby  bat  ,  a  sheep  and  hearts.  

as  “lace”  ,  she  has  an  extensive  list  of  customers  that  comes  to  see  her  when  she  dances  .  her  nickname  is  lace  because  when  she  performed  her  first  stage  set  ,  she  only  wore  lace  stockings  and  white  babydoll  heels  .  

lace  is  also  the  name  she  uses  in  her  assassin  verse. 

catherine  is  planning  on  getting  a  tattoo  .  right  on  her  right  breast  .  

she  has  a  pet  cerberus  back  home  named  mephisto  .

in  her  demonic  form  ,  her  skin  is  more  pale  ,  her  voice  is  slightly  deeper  and  there’s  a  reverb  in  each  word  .  had  she  not  had  the  black  stripes  around  her  body  ,  she’d  be  fully  naked  .

a  note  about  catherine’s  “apartment”  :

so  ,  as  explained  before  ,  it  is  actually  a  hotel  room  that  marina  (  catherine’s  best  friend  )  rented  out  to  her  .  it  has  been  extensively  remodeled  and  smothered  in  pink  .  she  had  the  shower  removed and  replaced  it  with  a  jacuzzi  tub  .   her  bed  is  a  queen  -  sized  pillowtop  and  plush  headboard  and  the  carpeting  is  now  a  blush  pink  .   it’s  significantly  different  from  the  other  hotel  rooms  and  catherine  ,  while  highly  grateful  that  marina  did  this  for  her  ,  cannot  help  but  laugh  at  the  envy  other  guests  must  feel.

wooooo , this took alot of thought ——

to be honest  ,  you’d think it’s lust .  hell , i’d think it’s lust .  but with my interpretation of catherine  :  it’s not lust , it’s not wrath , it’s not envy  (  but , it is second runner up  )  .  to me  ,  catherine’s sin is PRIDE.

now , let me tell you why :

catherine is the perfectionist type , and when she wants something she’s going to do everything possible to get it .  she gets enraged when something doesn’t go the way she planned it out to be .  if someone / thing gets in the way of her carefully - crafted plan  ,  she’ll eliminate it  ,  simple .  as a demon , she’s supposed to be powerful and everything — human or not — is supposed to just submit at her presence . she meticulously plans out her next move , who is going to be her next target and what she wishes to do with them . even when her help was requested by her ‘ boss ’  ,  she wanted to make sure everything went according to not only his plan — but her’s as well .  the trail she leaves behind is one she wanted to draft and execute herself and it gives her immense pleasure when it effortlessly goes without a hitch .  

far as virtue ? I actually had to do a test with this one because I had no idea initially .  the test came up with DILIGENCE. I suppose this kinda falls into her being prideful .  catherine always go through with whatever she wants to do , it’s never just lip service .  she is a hard worker and always moves with persistence. she doesn’t give up easily and will keep fighting to achieve her goal .  to her , giving up means she lost and nergal has always taught her that losing is not acceptable .  does this mean she may have developed an obsession with wanting to be perfect ? possibly .

catherine LOVES smell - goods from victoria's secret and bath and body works . yes , she hoards them : she has an area in the corner of her room that is nothing but body sprays , body washes , body scrubs and lotions . she will get her hands on each seasonal item , along with the accompanying candles .

I have said this before , but catherine would rather be called 'cat' for a nickname : in her opinion , cathy sounds too old and catie ( pronounced like 'katie' ) makes her sound like a child . cat . . . is kinda the in - between .

I know for dancers they're told it's preferable to not really wear glitter because the customers may end up coming home with it on them , but catherine will sometimes look like a freaking disco ball at times when she's dancing . ~

MARINA REYES. she found catherine passed out in front of her establishment , so she brought her in . catherine was unable to utilize her human body when first brought to the living realm by thomas mutton and nergal . perhaps this was a test or simply just for entertainment — this is still to be uncovered — but being that marina was the innkeeper and couldn’t find it in her to leave the girl , she gave her a room to rest in and helped to regain her energy . for a slight second , marina did see catherine’s body flicker to it’s true , demonic form and realized this must have been the case . in truth , marina , being a vampire , is no novice to utilizing a human vessel to contain such powerful energy . she is older than catherine by hundreds of years , but even in human appearance marina would look to be about twenty - eight ( 28 ) , while catherine appears to be twenty - one ( 21 ). they now share a sisterly bond and have been close friends since . marina also helped teach catherine how to walk the living realm and when to know the limit to do so has been reached. the same room catherine was nursed in is the same one she lives in now.
