Just downloaded the soundtrack from itunes, and they’ve included the soundtracks for both season 3 as well as the movie!

Some upcoming songs for season 3 (disk 2) that have really caught my eye and ear are: 14: 夜嵐イナサ - Yoarashi Inasa 17: 青山優雅 - Aoyama Yuuga 18: デクとオールマイトの秘密 - Deku and All Might’s Secret 19: 勝己と出久 - Katsuki and Izuku 20: 3人の秘密 - Secret of 3 people 22: オーバーホール - Overhaul 23: ミリオ - Mirio

We’ll get to see Inasa’s theme in the upcoming episode, but I feel like it’s a great fit already. Sorta reminds me a bit of some of the music from Naruto.

Aoyama‘s theme will be his time to shine (literally), but I like how you can hear “Just Another Hero” playing underneath. It’s a great way to signal Aoyama coming into his own!

Listening to 18-20 is just super emotional too. I’m so looking forward to seeing the scenes they’re played in, but at the same time I don’t think my feelings are ready.

Finally, I’m actually really surprised and yet happy to see the last 2 on the list. I thought we might get a brief glimpse of Overhaul for the season 4 tbc preview, and didn’t think we’d see Mirio at all this season. The fact they both have themes on the soundtrack is really exciting!

BNHA Name Meanings #3

Now that I’ve gotten both 1-A and 1-B it’s time to get the other UA students, students from other schools, and all faculty from all schools that have actual names. This is going to be incredibly long but I don’t care.

If you have any corrections feel free to let me know; I’d be happy to hear them!

A couple of quick notes before I get into this: I’m including both given names and surname if both are known/exist, and the names are written given-name-first with the Latin alphabet and surname-first with kanji. The name meanings come from these specific kanji because some names can have the same pronunciation but different meanings because they’re written with different kanji.

UA STUDENTS

Hitoshi Shinsou | 心操 人使

Hito(人) means person. Shi(使) means messenger or to use.

Shin(心) means mind, sō(操) is to manipulate, so Shinsō means to manipulate the mind: mind control.

Mei Hatsume | 発目 明

Mei(明) means bright or light.

Hatsu(発) means to discharge, and me(目) means eye. While Hatsume as a word doesn’t mean anything, hatsumei, using the kanji from her given name, means invention. 

Mirio Togata | 通形 ミリオ

Mirio isn’t written with kanji, but that’s alright because the characters used in his named are most of the Japanese pronunciation of million.

Tō(通) means to pass through, and gata(形) means shape.

Nejire Hadou | 波動 ねじれ

It’s the same case here for Nejire’s name. It’s not written in kanji but nejire, with 捩, pronounced neji, replacing ねじ, is a word that means to twist or to twirl.

Ha(波) means waves, and dō(動) means motion, change, and confusion. When both kanji are written together they mean undulation and surge.

Tamaki Amajiki | 天喰 環

Tamaki(環) means circle or loop.
