Day 7 (Oct. 20th)

On the morning of Oct. 20th, I flew from Tokyo to Tottori prefecture. I had an eco-tour planned from way before my trip, that I had been looking forward to it for quite some time (maybe since the beginning of the pandemic?)

I met up with an old friend there. And before we headed towards our Airbnb in the countryside, we took advantage of our short time in Tottori city to check out the famous Sand Museum. And it did not disappoint!! Tottori is famous for its sand dunes, and every few years the museum demolishes these pieces, and invites artists from all around the world to create the new exhibit. Only sand and water are used, and the sand from the previous exhibit is reused to make the new one.
