Happy Holidays everyone!

We hope you are doing well! First, thank you so much for your continued support of the Drops of Moonlight Zine Charity Project. Although the project has gone on for much longer than planned due to multiple hiccups that we have faced, we are still committed to have the physical and digital bundles distributed to those who have pre-ordered them. Once the hiccups listed below are resolved, we will be reaching out to those (contributors and supporters) who pre-ordered a bundle to collect shipping and handling, and ship everything out! With that, included below is a summary list of previous updates re: the current Murphy's Law poo that is holding the project up:

We're still missing 2/5th of the shipment of the printed volume. Production had been in delay because of the paper crisis and they arrived in increments slowly batch by batch. We bought from a small family-run vendor and they glue the covers by hand. We've been getting them in smaller batches, and two batches have yet to arrive. They don't ever update us re:status, but they have been consistent.

Our sticker order was lost in the mail. We're fighting with FedEx on whose fault this is. We have had to pay double customs to have it re-enter its country of origin and make the trip again, which is ongoing, and are trying to get reimbursed by FedEx, which is a lengthy process.

The coloring books arrived late and with faulty covers, and after much discussion with the company, it appears that the fault was entirely our own. One of our mods is paying for 400 new covers out of their own pocket and will fix them by hand.

Our local washi vendor pulled out and went bankrupt and radio silent. This was a huge problem both for budget and for getting a new one. We have one finally lined up, production has begun.

Booth has refunded part of our orders because it took too long, meaning our funds have further shrunk. We're in talks with Booth to save the rest. It's in Japanese so only one mod could handle it, and this is not the easiest.

The domain for our website was paid for two years and that was the time and funding allotted in the budget. These two years are up. We didn't notice that for the longest while, and then when we did, things like Booth happened, and we decided against renewing the domain so late in the game. We plan to ship the orders with Shopify and the portion of Booth orders that have not yet been refunded.

A few mods we won't name are on extended hiatus for critical life events that we won't call out for privacy, and because this project has gone on for much longer than anyone on the team has anticipated or consented to/planned for. This means the rest of the work is falling on fewer shoulders. Tasks and responsibilities have subsequently changed amongst the mod team since 2020; for instance, we don't have a mod in charge of communications right now and haven't had one in a while, which you do clearly notice.

We make all decisions together as a team, which makes us democratic and also slow. We react to things only together but it means we wait out mod meetings across four time zones for nodding off on all decisions.

Everything else is ready, layouted, translated, linked to, hosted online, printed, lined up, and arrived. Once everything else lines up/arrives, we will be reaching out to those who pre-ordered a physical bundle to collect shipping and handling, and then ship them out.

We realize that the timing of everything has not been ideal. We did not realize we bit off more than we could chew when we took this project on… and none of us Mods plan to take on anything like this ever again as all of us are doing this on our own time. 皆さまお元気でお過ごしでしょうか。まず初めに、いつも「月の雫」チャリティー・プロジェクトをご支援いただきありがとうございます。このプロジェクトは、さまざまな不運が重なったことにより予定よりかなり長引いていますが、ご予約いただいた皆様に、ZINEバンドルとデジタルバンドルをお届けすることをお約束します。下記の問題が解決した時点で、バンドル版を予約してくださった方々（寄稿者の皆さま、サポーターの方々）に連絡を取りZINEたちを発送する予定です。下記に記すのはこれまでこのプロジェクトの妨げとなってしまったことがらに関する過去のアップデートの要約です：

印刷会社より全量の2/5の出荷を未だ受け取っていません。製紙危機のために生産が遅れ、製本されたZINEが少量ずつ到着しています。今回購入したのは家族経営の小さな印刷会社で、彼らは手作業で表紙を糊付けしています。ZINEは少量のロットで納品されており、あと2つのバッチの到着を待っている状況です。

付録のシールで完成品の紛失がありました。国際輸送中に行方がわからなくなってしまったため、現在輸送会社のFedexと責任の所在を明らかにしようとしています。原産国から再度入国させるために関税を二重に支払う必要があり予算にも影響を与えるものでしたが、皆さまへ発送するためこれらの対応は現在も進行中です。

塗り絵の納品が遅れ、また表紙に欠陥がありました。印刷会社と確認した結果、どうやら私たちの責任であることが判明したため、モデレーターのひとりが、自腹で400冊分の新しい表紙を購入し、手作業で表紙を付け直している最中です。

マスキングテープを発注した地元の業者は倒産し、音信不通となりました。新しい業者に再発注する必要があり予算的にも大きな問題でしたが、ようやく1社が決まり、生産が始まりました。

発送まで期間が空きすぎたため、BOOTHで注文の一部がキャンセルとなりました。予約してくださった皆さまには申し訳ありませんでした。まだ残っている注文に関してはキャンセル期限延長をBOOTHと交渉中です。日本語対応可能なモデレーターがひとりで対応にあたっています。

私たちのウェブサイトはドメイン料が2年間支払われており、それが予算上割り当てられた時間と資金でしたが、この2年間が終了しました。そのことに長い間気づかず、気づいたときにはブースのようなことが起きていて、ドメインの更新はすべきではないと判断しました。Shopifyでの注文と、Boothでの注文のうちまだ返金されていない分については必ず発送する予定です。

このプロジェクトは、主催チームの誰もが予想し、同意し、計画したよりもはるかに長く続いています。モデレーターの何人かは私生活での緊急を要する事態によりプロジェクトを離れる必要があり、残りの仕事は少ない肩の上に乗っています。例えば、しばらくコミュニケーション担当のモデレーターが不在であることにお気づきの方も多いと思います。

私たちはチームとしてすべての決定を下すので、民主的であると同時に時間が掛かります。私たちは共に物事に対処しますが、それは4つのタイムゾーンにまたがって主催ミーティングを開催し、すべての決定でそれぞれが同意する必要があることを意味しています。

それ以外のすべてについては、準備を進め、レイアウトし、翻訳し、リンクを貼り、オンラインでホストし、印刷し、並べ、到着しています。すべての材料が揃い／到着し次第、ZINEバンドルを予約注文してくれた人たちに連絡を取り順次発送していく予定です。

すべてが理想的なタイミングではなかったことはもちろん承知しています。このプロジェクトを発足したとき、自分たちが扱い切れる以上のものを発案したことに気づいていませんでした。皆さまにはご心配をお掛けし本当に申し訳なく思っています。皆さまの変わらぬご支援に、心から、感謝いたします。

俺たちは天使だった(嘘つきパンダと燃え盛る日常)2017年7月28日から30日まで

7/28 9時に茨木を出て、12時前に品川着。まずは経堂にある弟中村痔ーザス監督の家へ。近所の上海家庭料理店でクソまずい飯を食べる。経験則的に言えば東京は飯がまずいのかもしれない。大阪ならまずそうな店に入��てもわりとうまいが、しかし東京は見た目通り。東京にしては家庭料理というだけあって安かったけれど、ネギ麻婆豆腐はねぎ油と添加物でベビースターのような味になっていて、味噌汁からは汗の味がした。漬物もあった。名前を失念したが、茶色い大根のアレ(8/2追記:つぼ漬けでした)。スーパーで売ってるのを買って出したかのような。さすが家庭料理(ヨッ！)！ 近所の古本屋で『海の詩情とフランス料理』というフランス料理の写真とフランスの詩人の詩が組まれている奇書のようで正統な(それでいて正当な)本を100円で買う。写真の色味が強く、料理がグロく見える以外はすばらしい。笑 浅草へ行き、観光。もんじゃを食べる。 一度帰宅し、ダイソーに撮影用のアイスピックを買いにいくも、スペシャルな凶器を見つけ(笑)、そちらも合わせて購入。後に手のひらに少しだけ刺さることになるとはこの時は少しも思っていなかったとは嘘でも言えない。笑 誰か怪我するなと思っていた。笑 ゲオで『ブライトン・ロック』のDVDを500円で購入。『control』『オン・ザ・ロード』のサム・ライリー主演でグレアム・グリーン原作モッズ小説。さらば青春の光の現代版といえば凡庸ですが近い気が。なんせまだ観ていないもんで。大学生の時にこの映画に存在を知って、ずっと観たいなあ日本で公開されないかなあと思っていたところ、映画館すっ飛ばしてDVDになり、話題にもならずレンタル落ちに…この映画がリメイクだということも知らない日本人だって多くいるはず(『さらば青春の光』のリメイクではないですよ。もう、そうでもいいですが。笑)。 22:30から都内某所にて撮影(ロケ地は言いません。笑 まあ察してください)。自主映画監督であり、某広告会社勤務のプランナー、オビーが今回のゲストであり、犯人。3人であーだこーだ言いながら(「オーソンウェルズ！ここはオーソンウェルズ！とか。笑)、順調に撮影し、0時を過ぎてから、自主映画監督であり、映画広告マン(あなたが見たことのある洋画のうちの少なくともふたつは彼が担当しているかもしれません)のりょっぴ(ふたりの本名は、短篇の告知とともに許可を取ってお伝えします)が合流。ここでも「オーソンウェルズ！イエー！オーソンウェルズ」などと言いながら順調に撮影。血糊を使い始め撮影も佳境に入った時、満を持してホームレスに絡まれる。笑 「何やっとるんや。俺、ダウンタウンの番組出たことあるで」素潜り旬一行は「どうせ水曜日のダウンタウンやろ。あと、なんで関西弁やねん」と思いながらも相槌をうち、しまいには唇に手を当てて、黙れの合図。都内某所が血で染まり(ここダブルミーニングですよ。笑 もちろん後片付けはちゃんとしました)、午前4時に撮影は終了(最短記録の6時間半！)。蕎麦屋で打ち上げ。映画談義。俺以外みんな大根が好きだった。笑 自主映画監督が3人もいるだけあって、素晴らしくスムーズに撮影が終わり、安堵。オビーには、多少無茶を言いましたが、毎回ゲストには壁を越えてもらうので。笑 面白いものを作るには、ゲストに壁を越えてもらわなければならないというのが俺の持論でして、各回見てもらえればわかるんですけど、全員だいぶん無茶してます。笑 素潜り旬探偵事務所がバズるなり、俺か痔ーザス監督が多少知られるようになってきたら、ゲストのみなさんには必ず恩返ししますので。笑 しばしお待ちを。笑 8/29 監督とベルグでブランチ。監督は食べ盛りだから足りないらしく、腹を空かせていた。俺は東京へきたら必ず寄ることにしているので満足。 マーメイドにもらったアラーキーのチケットを痔ーザスカップルに渡し、ひとりでアテネフランセにて『レトロスペクティブ 映像作家 金子遊』を。『でろり』『ぬばたまの宇宙の闇に』を観る。俺のツイッターから引用すると、言葉の締め付けから解放されるかのような詩的映像に、あえて縛られにいく言葉の美しさを感じた。上映後、詩集を渡しに行くと「素潜り旬？知ってるなあ〜？」と言ってくださるも「んなあほな…」と傾げ、「素潜り旬探偵事務所？聞いたことあるなあ」とも仰っており、さらに「んなあほな…」と傾げていると、ツイッターで繋がっていることが分かり、驚く。監督はツイッターで詩集の感想までくださり、ありがたい限りです。 幻視社のツイッターをコピー&ペースト⤵︎ 。。。。。。。。。。。。。 素潜り旬の詩集『顔面に沈み込まない都が』拝受し、移動中に読む。なつかしい感じというか、映画や演劇ととなり合っていた60年代のころの現代詩のような肌ざわり。若い詩人だが、ユニークな才能なのではないか。今後の活躍が期待できそう 詳細　zine.mount.co.jp/zine/85839021 。。。。。。。。。。。。。 新宿へ向かい、痔ーザスカップルと母と合流。カフェで談笑。痔ーザスガールとサラバし、夜は経堂の焼肉屋へ。塩分が強く、3人とも銀杏boyzのような顔つきになる。 7/30 早朝に家を出て、品川駅で監督とサラバする。新幹線でくたばり、新大阪に着いた時にはカルメンマキに刺されたような顔をしていた。母ともサラバし、ポエトリースラムジャパン大阪大会のため十三へ。受付を済ませてから、セブンイレブンで、詩を数編印刷し、俺にしては珍しくしばらく練習をする(これが喜劇のはじまり)。予選が始まり、小学生のカリブラージュ。大人になっても続けてくれればいい。俺には知ったこっちゃないが、あの親父なら大丈夫だろうと思う。笑 アフロだし。 Aブロックが始まり、正直今回の詩と朗読のクオリティ的に誰にも負けないと思っていたが、5/6位でクソミソにイカレる。笑 分かりやすい人が勝つこの大会に合わせて、分かりやすく朗読したつもりが、分かりやすく分からない詩を読んだため、審査員(トーシロー客ベイベー)が理解に苦しんだのだろう。あいつらは全員『君の名は』や『シンゴリラ』の予告編を見てなんの違和感も抱かず、流されるままに『ララランド』をこき下ろしたに違いない。『ララランド』最高ですよねー。まじで。思い出せば出すほどにチャゼルが愛おしくなる。笑 読んだ詩はこれ。 『愛の合間に』 ミントのくせに なぜかミルクを感じる 香港のガムを噛みながら、 雨傘運動で流れた体液は こんな味をしていたかと考える 彼らが耐え忍んだ催涙スプレーは 雨傘から雫となって滴り落ち 地表に溜まって俺が言葉にした 拾い集めたのが心ない言葉で、 読み間違えたのが 心だったら、 Male to Female の子と ホテルに行った帰り道 もはやアイデンティティの喪失もこれまでか と うそぶくことも なかったのに つまり、大失敗さ。その子ともね。 泣けてきたのは 俺たちがマイノリティだからか、 それとも俺たちは マイノリティではない と思い込んでいるからなのか それとも マルチチュードの上で 爆発した者たちに かける言葉がないからなのか それとも 立ちあがった人々が、 ある場面において マジョリティになった場合、 コアラのマーチを開封せず 数十秒振った後の 固形物のように 無軌道に転がり続けること (コアラたちの行進曲) に 涙するのが 俺だと 分かってくれたら 愛の合間を政治性のない 詩で埋めることができるのに だけれど そんなことを気にせず ついてきてくれるなら 言葉の暴力のような詩を ともに雨傘で耐えようではないか その後、 いままでの自己犠牲を愛のために行うこと この普通の権利を勝ち取り 喜びの涙を激しい雨で隠してしまおう 傘もささずに どうですか。まあなんとも言えませんよね。台湾の雨傘運動とあらゆる愛についての詩です。 ただ、この朗読が自分にとって、どんだけキモかったかは8/1付の日記やツイッターに詳しく書いておりますので。 出番が終わった俺は、smokeくんとしばらく話す。彼はとても優しくかっこいい。朗読に加えて、ラップや落語をやっている彼とは「お互い色々やってるね」と話し、とても親近感を抱いた。朗読のイベントに滅多に出ないのもいいですね。笑 あの大会は、普段舞台で褒められない人があの場では喝采を受け、普段からイケていてブイブイ言わせている人ほどクソミソにやられるというトーシローの一揆のようなものでして(笑)、数年前に大会に出たお世話になったパイセンがクソミソにイカレたと聞いた時に、こら俺も合わないんじゃないかと思ったんですが、案の定そうだったんですが、俺としては出ない理由はないというか、勝負事は好きなので、ただ燃えるっていう。笑 トーシローの一揆に立ち向かうクソチョンボ野郎(探偵)ってわけですね。たぶん次も出ます。 夜は山奥億夫を素潜り邸に招き、人形焼を食べ、茨木フェスティバルへ。作業員が光る鉄の竹トンボ(もはや回転する凶器鉄トンボ)を花火の代わりにいくつもぶち上げており、たぶん怪我人が5人は出ました。スーパーボールすくいでセンチメンタルな旅に出ていたらテキ屋のおばさんが「うんこ取れ！うんここうやって取るんや」と説明してみせてくれ、尻の穴が疼いた。景品でもらった生卵型むにむに爆弾を振りまわしていると案の定爆発し、山奥のTシャツが腐敗した。

JANUARY 2023 UPDATE ||| 2023年1月更新

We have some amazing news… after a lot of problems with our vendors and the paper (as you've been aware of), we’ve finally placed the orders for all of our merchandise (including pins and the physical zine). The time for the printing process will vary between items, but once we receive all of the merchandise, we will begin reaching out to contributors and supporters via email to pay for the shipping and the handling so that we can ship the bundles out to you. At this time, we do not have an estimate for the shipping and handling as prices can fluctuate and are individual to shipping destination. Please be sure to lookout for the shipment communication in the future. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for following the Drops of Moonlight Zine charity project!

We wanted to share some quick updates about the status of the project, since we’ve been facing delays due to the European paper crisis caused by the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Unfortunately, about a month ago a vendor unexpectedly pulled out of the project due to the paper shortage, leaving us in a bit of a scramble. We are currently in talks with several potential vendors to replace the vendor we lost, and hope we will be able to finalize a new vendor soon!

In more exciting news, we recently began production for a few of the stretch goals which we will be ordering in bulk. We look forward to receiving these and hope to share some photos of the final products once they come in!!

Otherwise, we are unfortunately still in a bit of a holding pattern until we are able to finalize our replacement vendor and move forward with the rest of production. We will share another update when we have more information!

Thank you again for your patience and support as we navigate these unexpected production bumps. We are so excited to share our progress and look forward to bringing the Zine bundles to life soon!!

Hello and thank you to all our awesome contributors!! We recently heard from one of you that they hadn’t been receiving the emails we were sending from our project email, (DropsOfMoonlightZine@gmail.com).

what stretch goals have been unlocked so far?

We have unlocked the 1) Origami Paper, the 2) Original Coloring Book, the 3) Washi Tape, and now the 4) Enamel Pins!

We are headed towards the Tote bag that is unlocked with 300 orders of Eternal and Star Seed!

Hi, is there a way to buy the tote bag even when we don't reach the stretch goal?

Unfortunately, no there is no other way to buy the Tote bag if the stretch goal is not reached. The Tote bag is a zine exclusive partnership with a fantastic supplier and it is not offered outside of this stretch goal achievement.

The Tote bag is the next stretch goal we have to achieve! Hopefully, we can reach all the corners of the fandom and get a chance to unlock the Tote bags!
